- I cooked these massive chicken drumsticks in the toaster oven and they turned out pretty good. Toaster oven cooking is pretty fun and easy if you have a good one. These chicken legs would have been great grilled, but it's cold out, so I just cooked them in the toaster oven and they turned out pretty good. Cooking chicken in the toaster oven works pretty good and it's easy.
Been cooking my chicken drumsticks 3-5x a week its that easy at 1 hr. I cook at 375F using at 1 hr I use meat thermometer to read at 165-180F. I use a bottle Korean BBQ Sauce its so easy. I line the tray w foil so I can avoid the scrubbing the sauce off. I also been baking Brownies it comes out perfect too.
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
I've had my new toaster oven a month & I haven't used it but Now I will after watching you 👍!!
@TosTinMan.
The trick to cooking BBQ in any oven is to not using BBQ sauce until the last 20 minutes. First you drain the pan & after add the sauce.

ThomasPaine3 exactly
That's not how my mom does it. And it's bomb tasty.

TosTinMan Love this creative way of cooking with a toaster oven! Looks like you are a true master of all your tools, putting them to the test to see what marvels they serve-up.
Thanks! I wouldn't say I'm a master, but I do enjoy experimenting a lot. Thanks for commenting!
I like the way you said "from Canada"
Hi Tos, What you may want to do is get a toaster oven broiler pan, use foil for the bottom pan so you have easy clean up and use some pam spray on the top tray. You'll life the chicken off of the grease and don't use your sauce until the end and turn the legs so you sauce both sides and then you'll have a very nice result. Makes the difference.
+Stacy S Thanks for the idea!
Thank you for the tip!! I'm gonna try and find a tray and use one.
Creative idea! Looks great. They all fit on the tray perfectly. I'm glad the toaster oven works well especially since it's not grilling season.
It's nice to have a toaster oven that cooks evenly. My old one was a piece of crap.
I agree, that's always nice!
I'm so thankful that you made this video.I live in a motel with a toaster oven, hotplate and microwave and I decided to see if I can cook chicken in my toaser oven and I found your content.peace

Look up side effects of aluminum foil!!!! Never use to cook
Looks good..what function did you used Bake or Boil? ?
+Frankie Ontiveros Bake.
you can wrap them in aluminum foil to prevent the burnt on the skin and save the time from not washing the metal plate
Terrible side effects..
Hi Tos, at what temp and how long do you cooknit for?
Nice & thanks!
Thanks for watching!
do you turn on both up and down heating function when you cook these?
Yes, both heating elements are on.
On what temperature you cook the chicken legs?
got myself a toaster oven, so looking for tips n hints.....anyway, if the weightis in imperial lb's, then why isn't the weight of the chicken in ounces, and not 'point something'. jus wondering. scottish here, but in new zealand for years so understand kilo's and pounds
I just purchased one and I was wondering can the drip tray be used as a baking...sorry if it's a dumb question
I don't bake much but I don't see why not. Thanks for commenting!

Yes, most of the time.
What is the instrument name by which you checked temparature of roasted chicken legs?
It's called a Thermapem. www.thermoworks.com/Thermapen-Mk4?gclid=Cj0KCQjwjvXeBRDDARIsAC38TP4ddZK4u6_hnMzSYxQH8LPyjkLMu9e6nf3q6lDTpJswxdN_tqIWEmMaAr0hEALw_wcB
Could I do this on the rack above the pan like you did the wings?
Yeah, I don't see why not.
Should have sliced them open with fork and knife and show juiciness thanks to 325 degrees. Maybe you could have shared brand of toaster oven.
Mi ago try it rite now
Hi could you tell me the settings to cook chicken in Black and Decker ?? Will 400 degree + Broil option + 45 to 60 minutes be okay to cook drumsticks ??
***** That sounds about right. Just keep an eye on them. Cooking times can vary a bit.
+TosTinMan Do you use the broil or bake setting
I used bake.
Thank you!!!😢
Does it still work ok for you? I read reviews about it dies very early in several months or a year. I just ordered one and I am worried.
fa gi sorry wrong model
fa gi I've had this one for about a year and it's still working good!

What brand oven cooker do you have?
It's a Black and Decker. Here's the link to a video review I did on it. Black & Decker 6 Slice Toaster/Convection Oven Review-Model # TO1660B
better than gas oven :)
Do you mind telling which toaster oven that is?
This is the model. ruclips.net/video/a98po1hmAMA/видео.html
Thank u
Your welcome!
👍
if you dont mind me asking where did you buy the blue handle with stick to check temperature?
+snookz lara Here's the link on that. thermoworks.com/products/thermapen/classic_thermapen.html?gclid=Cj0KEQiAl5u2BRC6yszC1_75v5wBEiQAD-hdz5k0_t24w_ws_YnZkspz-xARfac2pRoV4MntYPHRIwgaAlij8P8HAQ
Sorry, maybe it will be a lame question. I'm new to BBQ. I have a question, in what section you needed 40 minutes?
Hope you will answer Sir!
I'm not sure if I understand the question. I let the chicken marinade, or sit, with the seasoning on them for about 45 minutes before I put it in the oven. Then they cooked for about an hour in the oven. I hope that helps!
When I cook my chicken in the oven it comes out red in the inside even when I put it on 350 or 400 etc
Drumsticks.
There is only one toaster oven on the market that does it all and cooks EVERYTHING just as good or better then your full size oven. Its the Breville BOV800xl. Nothing else comes close to the quality. It retails for 250.00.
I've heard that those are good. Next time I buy an oven I'm going to look at those. Thanks for commenting!
Can you cover with aluminum foil in toaster oven?
Yeah, I've done it with no problems.
should of put the bbq sauce last 10 more minutes before the chicken is done
Yeah, that would work better. Thanks for watching!
Toaster oven trick rotate cooking tray halfway through cooking cycle.
Awesome i dont think ill use an actual oven ever again!!!
same lol
Put your bbq sauce on about 5 minutes before completely done. It won't melt off.
You're right. I've been doing it that way. Thanks for commenting!
It might have been good to put them on a rack so they wouldn't be sitting in the juices. Look's good tho. Thank you!@
What model of B&D is yer oven, eh?
It's model TO1660B. Black & Decker 6 Slice Toaster/Convection Oven Review-Model # TO1660B
Wow
Can i do the same for turkey drum sticks?
Yeah, that will work.
Shon9tilR what’s your insta ?
toaster oven should save a lot of electricity because it only heats up a small space, normal oven waste a lot of electricity by heating up extra space you don't need, does it show on your utility bill?
What brand is the toaster oven?
Black and Decker
i cooked in microwave, Does their smoke or smell after cooking.
how much time to cook the leg?
+Jireh Niel Caballero About 45 minutes to an hour.
That would have cost your $45 at Nando's. Well done.
Thanks!

+charles johnson I don't think that I did. Thanks for commenting!
charles johnson it looks good but it looks like he didn't turn them at all
How long did you let them cook? I don't recall you saying how long. Thanks!
I think it was about 50 minutes to an hour. Sorry, I guess I forgot to mention that. I have a quick read thermometer and usually cook them until the internal temperature is about 175 degrees. Thanks for asking.
TosTinMan You must have a MASSIVE electric bill. LOL LOL
LOL Actually, it's not too bad!
@@GaryVerderamo how is it any different than a regular stove lol

you sound like you are from California. great video
Good guess! I am. Thanks for commenting! :)
Surprised they didn’t flood the tray with juice and fat.
dont u think if u had put it on a mesh n all the fat would have dripped down , it would have been healthier
Sefra Correa Probably, but I don't have any.
+TosTinMan what size is your toaster oven? started school this semester in a dorm with a roommate no stove just toaster oven and microwave
+josh Pittman The inside is 12 inches across. I can actually cook a 12 inch pizza in there.

You sounded a bit horrified that it was made in Canada!
+Dorothea Emsworth LOL I think it was more surprised.

good ol days when meat was cheap.....
If you see chicken legs. Did they pumped it up with antibiotics and hormones I would never eat that ever! They grow the chicken so fast it'll taste like rubber
