Hey, friends! Hope you enjoyed today's video about "RemNote vs Anki: The Ultimate Study Tool Showdown". Take advantage of all my favorite med school tips and tricks in this free guide here! (themdjourney.com/med-school-success-handbook/)
One thing i love about anki is u can embed s in it, it helps embed street views from google maps easily to create memory palaces i want remnote to have a html edit function. And I wish just the exam scheduler in remnote were free but I love remnote as it is easier to embed videos into it
@ simply that Anki is miles ahead of RemNote because of the anking deck. It already has tens of thousands of cards premade that are correlated to almost any resource you can think of, including boards and beyond, bootcamp, sketchy, pathoma, etc. it even has relevant First Aid pictures for almost any card, which is like getting first aid for free. It also has thousands of diagrams and images made by the anking team. These are also made specifically for passing step and comlex. For me, manually making cards is a waste of time compared to the incredible quality and efficiency of the Anking Deck. I am not affiliated with Anking in any way, it has just single handedly gotten me thru medschool. I would love to be a rep tho if someone from Anking is reading this 🫡
Exactly the video I needed today. I'm definitely moving to Remnote, but I'm pondering if creating my flashcards there and then exporting them to Anki is worth the hassle. I just don't know if Remnote's spaced repetition algorithm is as effective as Anki's.
@@fernava7253 There are various types of spaces repetition formats (in setting in exam planer) You can search and find if im not mistaken there are 4 and are very good Hope it helps

I tried just using Goodnotes and handwriting stuff, but when I needed to actually study efficiently, I notice that I always go back to RemNote.
Yeah I have some who use goodnotes and then just upload them as PDF files to RemNote

This videos comes at a great time as I’m starting to use anki for the MCAT because that’s what I heard other people use haha appreciate the insight 🙏🏼
Best of luck on the MCAT!
Thanks brother, I remember asking you about this a little while ago!
Sure thing! Hope it was helpful
Remnote is my all time favorite
The quality of the anking deck needs to be considered
What do you mean by that specifically?

I think they're pretty similar. I also think the exam scheduler option is pretty good and unique
hey! can you share your (spaced repition) scheduler settings?
I just use the standard settings in RemNote or the exam scheduler if I want to see cards a specific amount of times.
It's Anki or nothing for me
I can respect that
