      Alexander The Great was a king of Macedonia, which was an indipendent Kingdom, not a "Greek Kingdom", term invented by you.

      Alexander is a big lie of ancient history!!!! Because during the investigation of some historians, it is highly likely that he was defeated in the first war between the Achaemenids and he went to Egypt to seek help from Egypt, and then he was defeated in the next war and returned to Greece! He has never conquered Iran because there are no documents about his conquest of Iran, and no historians except the few Greek historians have written anything about Alexander and his legendary conquests!!!! He was a thing, and Greek illusionist historians have made things out of him... If you have any questions, I can answer them;

His strategy made a huge difference on the War of Paraguay, he granted the victory for the allies to put an end to the tyrany of Solano Lopez. All countries involved in this war suffered in some way, even with Brazil "winning" the war, most of the incoming political instability grew after this war.

      He destroyed Asunción , and laid waste to the Paraguayan countryside , as well as decimating its population.
      Sadly , Brazil acted as a British crony in this war , where the so called " López Tyranny " was a hoax , because Paraguay had followed a successful independent path , free of British creditors.
      The war left Brazil bankrupt , as well , and paved the way to the end of its monarchy.
