The issue is... Bone is “just” art. And yes, that is sadly the main reason, why it never becomes a show or film. Bone is way too unique for the average audience. The only way Bone can work, sadly is, if you make it more mainstream.

I personally disagree. The story isn’t that much more complex than other mainstream fantasy series. I won’t argue it’s not unique, it certainly is, but honestly I think that would make it much easier to stand out amongst the crowd of other fantasy series. I just don’t think it’s been given the chance it truly deserves.

@@sirsurgenor Bone is sadly not main stream enough and way too much its own thing. People will not like it if those types of comics become popular in the near future.

The Bones series is something I remember fondly with my friends back in 5th grade, along with some others that we always wondered at the time of, whether they would make a film or animated series for, such as like Captain Underpants, the Percy Jackson Series, the Dragon chronicles even, and of course others that we wanted to see as live-adaptations even if resided in a fantasy setting. I also believe they did a spin-off for Bones, Spark or something? Not sure, but yeah I completely agree. If this was anime, it for sure would have gotten an animation adaptation long ago, lol. But here in the West, yeah no. Even most comics end up as live adaptations. For what reason? Perhaps for a battle of actor influence and reach on another level, everyone know how corrupt Hollywood is. That’s my take though. Before, the US would literally make break-throughs in animation decades ahead of the Japanese industry, but now, we’ve literally lost that art to what is now, well, whatever it is called liberal arts. I think it’s a real shame. It’s actually embarrassing for the US industry really, if there even is one anymore.
