especially bad since you are forced to have no romance with Valerie, the tieflings, or anyone else, AND NO WARNING; this is lack of imagination on the devs: it shouldn't get in the way, especially doubt something like a fey would care; if Regongar is bi, I'm pretty sure a fey demigod wouldn't be monogamous; I can understand if Valerie was but it's a completely different standard and each romance should behave accordingly; forced monogamy is these games is more often than not BS
I hope the next game won't be as railroaded. I like exploring every nook and cranny but I shouldn't feel like the entire fate of my character should rest in the hands of my character exploring every nook-and-cranny and some one-off decision in chapter 1. I feel like criticizing this game at all on the Steam page draws a lot of ire from the more toxic Pathfinder fans too so it's hard to talk about.

Nice guide, but it's missing the conversations you have to have with Tartuk, Armag and Vordaiki about the curse, if you miss anyone of these you will not get the true ending and the one with Vordaiki requires a high magic knowledge. I didn't have any of those conversations and had to edit the save files, adding those specific dialogues in order to get the perfect ending. You also need to have researched at least 13 of the curses.
@@wickeddrac7489 I played the game over the past 3 weeks and the final 3 chapters were confusing and bloated with loading times. However it was the most fun I've had in about a year. This is an amazing title. Once it is streamlined it will be one of the best games ever.
@@wickeddrac7489 Yes theres bugs. But nothing great is without a few flaws. However people dont mention how vigilant and dedicated the dev's are towards fixing bugs and making their game amazing. Most companies would be like you're on you're own. But Owl Cat Studios is already showing that they care about their players. They even have a dedicated and helpful community forums on Steam, that has helped to resolve many bugs people have. I've had a few bugs, but nothing game breaking, and even then this game is meant to play many times over, for all the good endings. However the rarest ending is the good Nyrissa ending with like only 10,000 people achieving it, I am a lucky one, its an amazing ending!
I romanced nyrissa, saved everyone, mites and kobolds in sycamore, genocided the trolls , this is the best ending for me. I hope there is ending something like this in wotr

Just got the Perfect Secret Ending of the game, but i'm very, very, very, very happy i did it ! Basically ... I didn't even clearly know that we could romance Naryssa, but i fell in love with her voice in the first cutscene in the Outpost just at the start of the game. Searched for how to romance her, learned of the prerequisites and then followed what i had to do to achieve. Compiled 15 Curses, got all the requisites, and played a NG / Lawful Good character : "Mercy above Law" and i absolutly don't regret it at all. Lizardmens are alive, goblins are alive, kobolds and mites are alive, feys are alive, basically, its nearly a pacifist run and it gave me the most satisfying feeling for it. So yeah ! Liked it ! Way more than Wrath of the Righteous :)
You have to be a major simp (or have a chaotic / evil alignment) to romance, or even to forgive that monster. For all people who died because of her actions, she must be punished.
Nyrissa is the symptom, not the disease. You'd literally have to not be paying attention to the story to fail to realize that the Lantern King is the real cause of all this, and she by extension is merely a tool of his designs with no control over her actions. God forbid anybody write nuanced characters any more, holy shit. lol

Personally I'd rather go after the puppeteer himself rather than the puppet, because killing Nyrissa doesn't get back at the Eldest who's responsible for all the terrible things that have happened to your Kingdom.
She's an iconic so Paizo wouldn't allow the developers to allow her to be romanced. It would make it harder for them to write stories with her in the future unless.
How the hell did you get that second meeting in your throne room? I did everything you did but it just didn't trigger for me. Does it have to happen before you go after irovetti?
My understanding is that it takes place AFTER War of the River Kings. It is an 'event' titled Strange Happenings in the Capital. You would need to have minimum 70 affection with Nyrissa for this event to occur. I got it in my first playthrough but not my second, nothing different happened. Looking deep into the bowels of the internet, it looks like multiple throne events happening at the same time might bug it out (too many craftsman?). Cannot confirm this though. Hope that helps somewhat. I folowed the Steam guide to the letter and it didn't work. So I will try a new playthrough and report back with the findings.

Did you research all the curses in the kingdom? Did you talk with Armag, Vordakai and Tartuk about their curses? You need to spare Armag, and Tartuk I think to get that. I killed Vordakai but still got the conversation about his curse before I finished him. I read somewhere you need to research at least 13 of the curses (there are 16) and have 2 of the 3 conversations to talk to her about.

I dunno, I think if I were running a kingdom with wood fairies as my neighbors, part of my laws would be "our local druids and fey will help our lumberjacks establish which trees are safe to harvest in order to protect the ecological health of our forests and respect the sacred rules of our First World friends." Nip the issue in the bud, so to speak.

You have to have Tristan destroy the Occulus on the spot rather than let him take it to Nyrissa, I believe, then have a conversation with Vordakai after he's cursed and get all the info needed.
You have to visit her alone in verdant chambers before you receive jamandi's letter warning about Varnhold, that's the trigger, she will summon you to the first world once you try to leave your throne room.
Thank you for posting this, i played a bit over 100hrs my first playthrough wondering if you could actually romance with the flower Queen, was a bit disappointed she betrayed my character in the beginning and lost hope with trying to getting on a good side with her, i'm only 3\5 through the game and don't feel like playing anymore, cause i've seen the ending that would satisfy my needs, this saved me another 100hrs of time. This game is way too long.
Just kill her or whatever, and finish the game, in your personal style. To me her betrayal and much more shit upon whole Golarion was her death. Game is so epic, do not throw it away. I finished the game with 250 hours and more, such a nice experience, true dnd game, didn't have the same pleasure from bg series :)
This game is so fucking bugged almost 200 hours, high relationship with Nyrissa, studied ALL the curses, talked to Tartuk and Vordakai , Tristian destroyed the eye, got the briar , AND NO FUCKING OPTION TO CONVINCE HER, so fucking mad at this game
You missed the conversation you had to have with Amrag, all three of those conversations have to happen, learned this the hard way but was able to edit the save file, adding those dialogues as if I had talked to them about the curses.
I wonder if doing Betrayer's flight first is necessary for her romance or just a chance to get more points overall. I did not risk it and went there first.
If I remember correctly, it doesn't matter. Just don't romance anyone else, don't be a dick to her, and try to help her whenever you can. Plus a few other things but that risks straying into spoilers.
this game buggy as hell would have been worth to buy IF it had the narrator's voice from Divinity Original Sin 2 or Linzi's Voice Actress narrating the things happening
So wait... The "good" ending is letting a lying mass-murderer become the ruler of the country she tormented for hundreds of years, just because she managed to throw all the guilt onto someone else? She's an inherently evil character without remorse and no sense of responsibility. And before someone claims it was because of the ability to love had been stolen, that's a lie, the curse didn't force her to do this, she chose this.
Her ability to love and to care was stolen, thus she would feel no regret, no remorse, nothing from the deaths of millions and more. When you are faced with that kind of curse, you have nothing more to loose. Everything become so pale in comparison to what you lost... You are wrong, if you think that in the nature of such curses, you have any choice. Because even for slightest chance to return your very true essence of who you are you would do anything. That or forever remain nothing but empty, cold, emotionless shell. A fate, far worse then death. And don't lie to yourself, you would do the same in such situation.

All part of the curse, and curses in games like these makes it 100% possible to steal/remove emotions and she did not choose to be like this at all

My opinion on the game is that it actually is a disaster, not a bad game, but definitely nothing real good either, and these ordeal to get the "true" ending is one of the MANY reasons I think that. Add that I don't even think Nyrissa is redeemable. Forcing us to romance her to get a "true" ending is just BS.

She's an inherently evil character without remorse and no sense of responsibility.
And before someone claims it was because of the ability to love had been stolen, that's a lie, the curse didn't force her to do this, she chose this.
Her ability to love and to care was stolen, thus she would feel no regret, no remorse, nothing from the deaths of millions and more. When you are faced with that kind of curse, you have nothing more to loose. Everything become so pale in comparison to what you lost... You are wrong, if you think that in the nature of such curses, you have any choice. Because even for slightest chance to return your very true essence of who you are you would do anything. That or forever remain nothing but empty, cold, emotionless shell. A fate, far worse then death. And don't lie to yourself, you would do the same in such situation.

@Ackalan obviously you have not paid attention at all because if you did you would see that her ability to "love and care" was stolen/removed so that way she would be a heartless murdereous being with zero regret. All part of the curse, and curses in games like these makes it 100% possible to steal/remove emotions and she did not choose to be like this at all

especially unfortunate since you are forced to have no romance with Valerie, the tieflings, or anyone else, AND NO WARNING; this is lack of imagination on the devs: it shouldn't get in the way, especially doubt something like a fey would care; if Regongar is bi, I'm pretty sure a fey demigod wouldn't be monogamous; I can understand if Valerie was but it's a completely different standard and each romance should behave accordingly; forced monogamy is these games is more often than not BS
My opinion on the game is that it actually is a disaster, not a bad game, but definitely nothing real good either, and these ordeal to get the "true" ending is one of the MANY reasons I think that.
Add that I don't even think Nyrissa is redeemable. Forcing us to romance her to get a "true" ending is just BS.
I agree, the bodycount she racked up more than disqualifies her from any peaceful end, and the fact it's necessary to romance her to get the True Ending is such a disgrace
