33:53 in my college NISER, almost all professors of physics have degrees from foreign university. I think they are here because working for own country is proud things and interaction with family, friends in India gives you another level of feeling. This fact is realized, when you go abroad.
Primary reason is, very poor research based education in our country.
Apart from few colleges, Rest are just degree type college.
IISc is excelling in research field.
IITs have although have contribution.. but many of the undergrads just pass out and settle for job.. when primary objective should have been research based.
OxBridge are highly research based universities....
Delhi University has also just for graduation...
Govt. needs to invest on Research atleast 0.5% of gdp on research based education, Indian govts have never utilised our best colleges and universities,
outdated syllabus, is also one of the factor.
IF IITs were utilised for research based education, the quality of students getting into IIT is very very impressive, We have confined them to just graduate and get a job, instead of research...
NOT only on Tech field but Economics and Humanities field as well...
DU could have been like Oxford but again we missed the opportunity.
most Student give UGC-NET to become ass professor, only marginal are actually doing good research, they do thesis for the sake of completing their thesis.
JNU is great but have been polarised bit still research is not upto the level.
It's tragedy that Phd in Buddhism Jainism Hinduism Tribalism is more respected from foreign unis.
When the land of religion is seeking answers from foreign unis.
Foreign Unis easily influence their soft power through these Unis, cuz at the end people are influenced by influential people which foreign unis known how to make..
I also wanted to go to Cambridge University for master's but I did not have extra curculum so admission could not be done. It is very important to do such programs because student do not know how to get admission abroad. Many thanks to lallantop.

I gurantee , agar aap Madarsa Darul Uloom deoband ke padhai ka pattern ko dekhege to kayi mayno me Oxford se better aur kuch chizein bahot similar hain. Sirf language barrier hai.
Aur Madarso me aksar maa baap padhai me kamzor bacho ko daalte hain aur wahan se nikalne ke baad kafi salahiyat unme paida ho jati hai. Ek interview Madarse ke education pattern ka bhi hona chahiye.
