- Mayor of London Sadiq Khan illuminates Coventry Street to commemorate Ramadan.
Joined by broadcaster Adil Ray and Rahima Aziz from The Aziz Foundation, the switching-on ceremony took place near Piccadilly Circus in central London.
These lights, adorned with Islamic designs and "Happy Ramadan" greetings, will brighten every evening for approximately 30 nights until the celebration of Eid Al Fitr in April. 🌙✨

This is such an important time in the Christian calendar and London is our capital and ramadan is not a festival we celebrate so this really isn't acceptable. I think that it's very sad we are having the Islam religion forced upon us and our politicians need to make a change.
