Thanks for letting Steamboat tell his side of things , I remember the Briscos during their hey day.. Great interview , I must say I like this side of John ( Justin Hawk Bradshaw) Great show guys, Thank you Ricky for the stories
I saw Steamboat & Youngblood vs Valentine & Stevens at 9 years old in Asheville NC in 1980 and to this day one of the best matches i have ever seen. On my feet the whole time. Too bad it will never be the same, A truly magic time,
You used to be able to get close to the action every week . Now , you’re lucky if a promotion visits your area once every two or three years and over charge you to see it .
Listening to the psychology behind getting the Brisco Brothers from white meat Babyface’s to despicable Heel’s in a believable way getting the angle over shows the level of expertise of all four wrestler’s. Amazing!
STORIES WITH BRISCO AND BRADSHAW - Thanks for all these great shoots, and bringing us back and up to date with WWF Legends like yourselves! I just turned 47, and growing up Steamboat was always one of my favorites and a class act!
having Gerald is like having a living Google search on the last 60 years in the business. the way he fills in the facts to all the legendary stories adds a real legitimacy to what you guys are doing. really seperates this show.
@@anthonylove1364..I really find he keeps the guests on point with the stories because they know gerald is an encyclopedia on the business...alot of shows it is the younger guys interviewing the older guys about all the stories so the old guys tend to embellish or mix up memories...having gerald their is like a fact checker so the guests are on point...they also open up more because they know he came up during the hard years in the business...to see a guy like Kevin von Erich open up when he is always guarded and apprehensive was just great ...you are right..gerald is a treasure for the fans
this show consistently gets the guests from the classic era...guest after guest ...just hitting home runs. combined with two legendary hosts who enjoy the stories as much as the fans...I watched the slaughter one and they let him talk for awhile and he just spit stories that are classic. I couldn't be more satisfied as a fan who grew up in the 80s era...the Tommy wildfire rich /buzz sawyer fued was my introduction to wrestling...I was 7.. I was hooked living in New york and watching Georgia wrestling on the new cable TV that was pumping up north....then the wwf becoming huge...my Saturdays were set....love this show gentlemen
The first match I ever saw on television was a Steamboat/Youngblood tag team match from Maple Leaf Wrestling in Toronto and I was hooked from the get-go. I can’t remember who their opponents were but I can credit Ricky and Jay for starting my lifetime of wrestling fandom. Thanks for another fantastic episode, gentlemen.🤘
I get compared to looking like Steamboat ! When I met him Sgt. Slaughter even said “could’ve sworn I saw a young steamboat walking around” Ricky gave me so much advice unsolicited but very welcomed!!!
I’m pretty sure Ricky stayed away from the drugs and stayed level headed throughout his entire wrestling career! The man still looks great! HofF legend indeed 💪
WM III is a given and the best of three with Flair were all classics, but I am a fan of the matches Steamboat had with Regal at Fall Brawl and Starrcade in 1993.
Awesome!Huge Steamboat fan truly a Hall of Famer. The only downside to this is that Brisco's microphone fades in and out.Discovered this podcast just a few days ago with the Jimmy Garvin interview.
This was a cool vid with Ricky. Grew up a big fan of Steamboat even though he was a bit before my time but always remember the old Wcw tapes I’d get from blockbuster and Hollywood video bins for 5 bucks as a kid and etc. wwe YT vids with his time there and the network in more recent years. One of the all time greats and awesome interview!
Love the insight into the business this show provides! The only wrestling event I ever went to was in Birmingham Alabama (Boutwell Auditorium),around 1987 or 88. Main Event was Ricky vs Macho Man.
Ricky was pretty wily with the negotiations and legal moves , getting out off the Gagne tax, getting his money in Toronto, and getting the trademark before Vince.
Excellent podcast I am happy I got tuned into you guys after hearing Briscoe on Something To. Wrestle with Bruce Prichard. Steamboat is an all-time great his WM3 match with Macho Man is one of the greatest if not the greatest WM match of all-time it still holds up after 35 years this March
I’ve always wondered why jay youngblood was a big star but when he passed away so young you never really heard about him even now when they talk about wrestlers dying young?
This Podcast is one of the best wrestling podcast available on RUclips it's definitely in the top five the format is perfect just letting your guest tell their stories and the wrestling stories are what true wrestling fans tune in for please keep up the great work and keep the format as is it's awesome to hear all of these wrestling stories so thank you guy's for all of this content
Remember you Jerry in Australia 1970 or maybe before. We used to get great talent in those days via Jim Barnett. Remember when they brought Jack in as NWA Champion l think 1973 and he defended a few matches against Spiro's Arion as you probably remember was a huge face in Australia.
I'm up to the part they are talking about Ricky going to the WWF and then having the Randy match. I wish he talked about the Muraco fued first. Cause that was a dope angle.
Rick and Scott Steiner, I’m pretty sure haven’t done a shoot interview together. Scott can be a bit edgy but the last I saw he was a lot more laid back. I think those two and doom carried a lot for wcw at least for me. They put on a lot of great matches. As far as that goes butch and Ron would be a great duo interview as well. Great job mr. Brisco/ mr. Bradshaw
Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat (the LEGEND !) vs. "The American Dragon," Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) = that would make for an interesting matchup... Special Guest Referee: the "Nature Boy," Ric Flair... Commentators: Jim Ross (good ol' J.R.), Tony Schiavone and Taz; Ring Announcer: Gary Michael Capetta or Tony Chimel. This Interview is Cool ! a PG product would have not allowed it's commentators to say the word "Blood," (as a result of "blading," "juicing" or "getting color") but the name "Steamboat," sounds much safer.
Thanks for letting Steamboat tell his side of things , I remember the Briscos during their hey day..
Great interview , I must say I like this side of John ( Justin Hawk Bradshaw)
Great show guys, Thank you Ricky for the stories
Brilliant show Ricky was always one of my favourites growing up so glad to here him tell his story
Steamboat got Kid Kash fired from WWE.
Ricky always presented himself top notch. .physically, mentally, and work wise...he is an alltime great
Shut up. He burried Kid Kash and even got him fired.
I saw Steamboat & Youngblood vs Valentine & Stevens at 9 years old in Asheville NC in 1980 and to this day one of the best matches i have ever seen. On my feet the whole time. Too bad it will never be the same, A truly magic time,
Was it at the Ashville Civic Center?
You used to be able to get close to the action every week . Now , you’re lucky if a promotion visits your area once every two or three years and over charge you to see it .
I LOVE that Ricky said he was selling Kirbys. My dad did the same thing we he came home from Vietnam.
Listening to the psychology behind getting the Brisco Brothers from white meat Babyface’s to despicable Heel’s in a believable way getting the angle over shows the level of expertise of all four wrestler’s. Amazing!
I remember when I was a kid. The Briscoes an steamboat and Youngblood matches. Best ever. 4 true great workers

This comment UNDERRATED 🙌🙌. Briso is a national treasure lol

Ricky Steamboat is one of the few faces l really liked and l have been following wrestling since 1966...heels always appealed to me.

Great show, I can’t get enough! Mr. Brisco is a an encyclopedia of wrestling knowledge and a true legend!!!
Love the podcast guys! Steamboat is the man!
Excellent job, this was bloody brilliant 🤘🤘

If Ricky steamboat came to my door to sell a vacuum cleaner I would have been in the “in love” category😍. Sorry not sorry😝
Ricky was great no matter where he went
Love that you guys are doing this, didn't figure you two as bffs!😅 keep it up guys!! See if you can get the Rock!!
Love these stories

The best part of its a long form interview instead of a bunch of where they take the interview and break it up into a bunch of little videos?
@@joemckim1183 agreed and it just feels different than the other wrestling podcast that do interviews
I love the Dragon.
Everyone loves, Ricky!
This the best show with u guys
Great show!👍
One of the great
This is going to be great

Flair vs Steamboat was better than Macho vs Steamboat. Change my mind.🤠
Kid Kash > Ricky Snitch boat
Both were great matches!
I'm up to the part they are talking about Ricky going to the WWF and then having the Randy match. I wish he talked about the Muraco fued first. Cause that was a dope angle.
Jerry Brown and BUDDY ROBERTS were the Hollywood Blondes
What a great episode. I was creasing up at the fire breather story. Will you get Ricky on again?
I remembered Wrestlemania 3 with Ricky Steamboat……
My first time watching Ricky Steamboat was ,when Ricky Steamboat wrestled in WWF……
They did have tune up matches you can see them on RUclips where Savage is the intercontinental champ before WM3
Wow Ricky Steamboat lives in Knoxville Tennessee. That's not too far from where I live
Graffiti the words " Kid Kash" on his front door
Please turn Geralds mic up on these podcasts
Why did John keep saying sting? They never faced each other. Now the Rick Rude matches were awesome
$2,000 for wrestling school in 1975? I was getting quotes of 3 to 5 thousand in the mid 90's!
That 2k would be a little over 10k in today’s money
The Hollywood Blondes of that day were Jerry Brown & Buddy Robert's, if I remember correctly.
Does Bradshaw have a statue of a Samurai Warrior behind him?
