Number 10 Squadron RAF, was formed in 1915 and has took part in 19 wars and conflicts, the last in Iraq, this particular aircraft, although done in UK paintwork the aircraft it has been used as a tanker and in the last month has refuelled USAF and LUFTWAFFE aircraft. We are very proud of her.🇬🇧🤝🇩🇪

The King's plane in the video is an RAF Voyager of No10 Squadron. It is named "Vespina" and is solely used to transport the monarch around the world. "Vespina" is Latin for "greatness" and is also the name for a species of moth. Vespina the plane is also known as ZZ336.
Adam Batterrsby it is not just for the Monarch's use, it's been used other members of the royal family when they've gone tour, and is also used by the Prime Minister and other government ministers

The King’s Helicopter Flight (TKHF) - formerly The Queen's Helicopter Flight (TQHF) - consists of two Sikorsky S-76s with the registrations G-XXEB and G-XXED. These are based at RAF Odiham in Hampshire.
There's also a small fleet of planes for the PM and Government ministers.

Yes, the aircraft positioned from Berlin to Hamburg while he was on the train from Berlin.
At least the British king flies Airbus and not Boeing.

Sehr schön erwischt! Respekt bei dem Wetter, ich hab mir den Besuch wegen des Regens gespart. Zumal es im Vorfeld hieß, er käme mit einer kleinen Privatmaschine. Aber das hier ist ja ein sehr ansehnliches Flugzeug geworden ;-)

Der Bentley stammt aus dem Bestand der britischen Botschaft in Berlin, von Berlin nach Hamburg erfolgte die Anreise mittels ICE und das Flugzeug ist auch nicht unterbesetzt, denn die mitreisende Entourage ist nicht klein und benötigt auch Platz. Zudem müssen auch gewisse Standes- und Repräsentationspflichten beachtet werden. Das ist schon alles OK so wie es ist. Wir fahren und fliegen ja auch dahin, wohin wir wollen und wann wir Zeit dafür haben.

beautiful aircraft the livery is outstanding. She may be VIP transport, but she is also fully fitted as an air to air refueling tanker - note the pods under the outer wings.
What are the pods on the wings outboard of the engines.
These pods hold hoses to refuel other (mainly fighter) aircraft inflight.

Correct, the KC2 Voyager (A330MRTT) is based on the Airbus A330.
Wow!!!! Great plane to fly two people a few hundred miles....climate change for thee, but not for me. The irony will be lost on him.
He is head of state, travelling with a full entourage, security detail and associated everything else. These are occasions when the cost, impact, security and time all have to be managed . Can you imagine the implications of his travelling by road between London and Germany with the long line of vehicles for the entourage and security, plus the policing requirement throughout his journey. Time to get real. Flying long hours for luxury holidays, short business meetings etc are the enemy. There is a place for flying but only when driven by real necessity. When we do fly be willing to make up the ecological deficit. All modern forms of travel have such a deficit. When did you last calculate your own and plant etc to try and offset some of it. We are all guilty, we all leave a footprint but few do as much as he has done for over fifty years trying to arguing for change and attempted to model the way through their own practise.

What living crisis, whole plane for one man
One man, his wife, his entourage of civil servants, the press corps. In the meantime, many of the British people, who we are constantly told are having difficulty heating their homes and feeding their children, are stuck in queues at Dover as they try to leave for their Easter Holidays.
Ironic isn’t it?! His grandfather fought against Germany generations ago and now he’s leaving on an aircraft with jet engines, a German invention.

Can't understand why people in Britain tolerate this lavish lifestyle.
For a delegation of 20 or 30 an A319 would be enough, not to mention the distance between the UK and Germany. But hey, it's climate change, the King said it in his speech, and therefore he must travel in a widebody long range aircraft just to show off. British understatement as we know it.
747 is older design. Airbus A330 is part British so the King is bound to fly in an Airbus.

Same reason as why didn't he come to the opening of parliament in a Mini.
Becuase you cannot charge the press pack to fly over in a twin engine prop. These flights pretty much break even, and some of them actually turn a profit. The press flying with the royal party pay their way to fly
