The walls should have been at least 8" thick or even 10" thick . The outer should have been given the same plaster as the inner wall . The inner layer of bricks is good .

The slab IS the foundation. We saw the builders apply render to the interior. Plumbing comes later. I don't see a problem here. These guys did a great job on a shoestring budget.

there is a chemical that mixed with cement for waterproofing. I think its a temporary tank so they don't need to be cleaned, as you can see there is a gap in the top cement for cleaning purpose. 15:34

This water tank is not properly constructed. Columns are not built around the water tank, and the tank is more likely to break in an earthquake.
You assume earthquake in a non-earthquake area would bring the cost skyrocket.
