Matt is the ultimate "fail upwards" kind of character without even trying it, man just wants to get out of dodge one day and becomes a hero of legend who has esteemed noblemen fighting to do his laundry the next
I may have gotten in my feels when I read this part. Like way in my feels. I just want to find a loyal mate like her! Well maybe not w her temper and anger issues. I’ve had plenty of em like that 😂
My last comment says it was 11 months ago. A year later & i still keep coming back, repeatedly, to hear this! The score u put in makes it better than the audiobooks. And the hypnotizing visual graphic that moves in sync with the music, really pulls me in, even with my ADD, 😊
As a kid I was enthralled with this part of the book. Matt’s control of the pikemen was crazy. Those guys went from a rag tag group to immortals in seconds!!😂😂
A legend is born. After this battle, Matt was no longer just the gambler. So disappointed with the wheel of time series version of Matt's storyline. Matt is by far my favorite character. (And the whole band of the Red hand for that matter.)
This clip, along with your "Dumai's Wells", & "Battle for Maradon" clips are engrossing & captivating & very well done, I listen to them over & over & over & over again. I cant get enough of it. The music is perfect- for Matt, its light & playful. Perfect for his narrative in this situation, & hes always funny as hell. Your choices for the battle clips are also appropriate, & the intensity aligns with the intensity of the battle. Amazing! I wish they would add background music, like you do, to the audiobooks. It really does pull u into the story. You are very talented & diligent in your choices for the different audioclips u make. Your choices in the prose you pick out, as well as your choices in music, which are probably limited. Excellent work! You definitely put alot of thought into your work. They should hire you to add these highlights to the audiobooks.
Good to see you posting again. Wondered if you could put up the cleansing of saidin? Next to Dumai's wells its probably my favourite scene. Either way, welcome back!
Thank you for always posting this. Honestly, I wish the audiobooks were like this. When I read a book physically, I do not silence and mood. But when I am listening audio while needing to do something else and the recording is just monotonous...I get lost eventually. You doing something as simply as making a bit louder and adding music in the background made it much easier to follow. Thank you!
Same! I recently finished the whole series on audible, and wanted to go back and listen to my favorite parts. It's a bit tougher to do on audible lol, which is why I was so glad to find this channel!
@Brad Veach No. When I said that I was not talking about Matrim's whole character development. I was talking about the genesis of Mat's army and his acceptance of its leadership, which is all this video showed.
If it wasnt for Mat's character becoming more charasmatic, funny, & interesting, i wouldn't have been able to finish the series. But, all of a sudden, Mat was improved, & charmed me into continuing with the rest of the books.
Technically his Aemon memory after the healing should've been the actual beginning of the video. That's the absolute true origin of The Band of the Red Hand. Mat is after all either Aemon reborn(my personal belief) or at the very least a direct blood descendant of Aemon.
Great video. The hat that Mat is wearing in the picture looks like the one Robert Jordan wore in some of his later photographs. Is this why Jordan used it or was this the artists paying an homage to Jordon?

This was also the introduction of Talmanes!! My guy!!
The right hand man to the right hand man
Talmanes is one of my favorites. A fellow gentleman to be sure
The skipping over battle scenes is brilliant. The heat of the action is a blur, you are in a trance and take breath only in the lulls
Loving the backing music
I just stumbled upon this channel and I love this. May I suggest adding a clip of when Nyneave gathers riders / soldiers for Lan in a bar
Yes! Please!
The golden crane rides
utube gods threw me here as well and yes an awesome vibe that with lan
@@Gee-Sus-Official i may have shouted when i read that back in the day lol

Also, the Mat quotes u chose for the Red Hand thumbnails, are hilarious!
If you read the books .
It's all there
Another masterful arc on one of my favorite characters in WOT. Good to see you back!

I found this channel a few weeks ago and was pretty sad to see how long it had been since the last update. Glad I stuck that bell on just in case 😁

I love these, I really hope more are on the way!
I love you for this. Thanks for uploading. Makes is very convenient to revisit the parts I love
Could I suggest you do the Finn arc with Mat, with all his chapters in the realm of the Eel+Aelfinn?
My favorite arc

I loved this one! Nice to see it up again 😸
I love this part. Just before the battle for Cairhean.
Love these!
Yooooooo where have you gone it's been like a year
Another great one would be Mat in Tar Valon.

No the hat was described very detailed in the second? More the third book!
@@hiltrud2001 hence why i like the long winded story vibe :)
@@hiltrud2001He doesn’t get it till the fourth book
He gets it in the Aiel waste from the dark friend peddler.
Sanderson did Mat dirty in the last three books, and then the TV series did him even worse....
Is this the same as the other origin’s of the red hand video?
I like the cut of his jib.
Cool:
Hella cool.
Is this different from the previous one?
The first few seconds are the same, so is the length.
Yeah, seems to be a repost, but one of my favorites so I'll forgive it.
@@NickoBaggins glad it was reposted because that is why the utube gods put it my way
Yo are you still alive??
