    • @Jwt-kb3yx
      @Jwt-kb3yx Месяц назад +2

      So a KO counted when the Ref reaches the count of 10. A "Technical" KO happens when the Ref waives off the fight without counting. TKO usually happens when a fighter is knocked down and gets up and is unable to continue or is getting his brains beat in and the Ref has seen enough. In this case, the punch landed and the Ref decided it was unnecessary to count so he waived it off which is why it was listed as a TKO.

      But seeing how the human body is "designed", there has to be some intelligence behind it all.
      Even our own creations pale in comparison.
      It's really fascinating.
      It's almost like your remote is tripping and you just tap to get it working. But reversed.

      @@keystone6162Once you have self replicating organic matter, then given enough time, it is inevitable that you will end up with life which exhibits properties that look as though they are designed. Only life that is able to adapt to a changing environment, in other words evolve, will survive. Given that mutations do not have a goal, many will lead to the demise of those affected organisms, but a select few will be helpful, and those will survive the next generation. The process will continually repeat itself, driven by the basic mechanism of survival of the environment, and ability to compete for resources. So in a sense we are designed, we are crafted by a billion years of adaptations that allow us to survive. Our current inventions may pale in comparison to the human brain currently, but AI to help us that really may not be true for much longer.

    What you didn't mention is the potential for CTE long term brain injury after a knockout like this. He is unlikely to ever be the same fighter again. He was renowned as having a great chin but every time a fighter gets knocked out, it's done with a lesser punch.

    • @ChucksSEADnDEAD
      @ChucksSEADnDEAD Месяц назад

      CTE is developed by micro injuries and repeated healing. Not a single blow. CTE is developed in training and very long careers with hundreds of fights, not in a single fight.

      That may be correct but there is still a lot unknown about the impacts of just one concussion. What will be interesting to see is how he handles big head shots moving forward. Plenty of fighters around the world are knocked out much easier after that first big knockout. Time will tell.@@ChucksSEADnDEAD

    Good work, Doc. Also, AJ throws all his weight diagonally to the left behind a jab, indicative of a body shot to follow. Francis flinches downwards while AJ flings that right with elastic recoil over his shoulder. It's a Mike Tyson punch. Hard to detect behind the "jab step". Look how low AJ is. It's called an overhand right. Devastating execution here. A little homage to Ngannou's coaches😂

    Hi Dr. In these circumstances, what can be the long term effect on a boxer with a concussion like this? Is there a long recovery for the boxer? Will they recover fully? Would he have a shear injury in the brain? I would expect with such a brutal knockout he will suffer a permanent brain injury. Thank you.
