5 year doesn't mean that there is no termination clauses in the contract in the end if each year if a certain objective is not met. If the club have a sound plan if where they are, where they want to get and how much time it needs to get, certain termination clauses in the end of each season for the five years couls mean that there is absolutely no reason for an end if season review, because the goals are and have been clear from the beginning, meaning there are clear expectations and clear results for not having met them, which I believe is the healthiest approach as it not only gives the manager the stability he needs if the results come his way and also gives the club the flexibility to fire the coach in the event of a bad season.
Shows how chelsea has fallen...from a club that demanded results right from the get go to becoming another brighton or arsenal of old...things must suck being a chelsea fan.
Im excited of the project tbh, we are building the club for the future like madrid. Not only that, Chelsea is very well managed financially despite upcoming PSR rules. Lets see who will prosper in 5+ years.
Ok those who feel so dont need to support chelsea.. u mfs where crying 3-4 months back to sack poch.. but now when chelsea and poch parted ways mutually, coz the idea and project was different,u all started critizising the managment.. fans are not meant to support only when the team is winning.. the disrespect and hate some fans have shown to many young players is one reason why chelsea had a very bad season.. and whatever, the managment has a very clear idea about the project and will move forward to make chelsea the greatest..
I agree to an extent, but both parties agreed to the length of contract and also surely the idea that if you do well you'll be extended and dealing with the youth is part of that. Maybe unwillingness contributed to his removal in the EOY review. Especially as he was heavily advertised as a youth focused manager.
That was Chelsea original plan with potter but the caved under the fans pressure and sack for fat Frank and then poch. Chelsea are just going back to their original plan.
If we keep Santos he will be like an Oscar but bring him off the bench Oscar left Chelsea too early he wasn't even in his prime when he went to the Japanese j League for money Brazilian saw it out there's only going to be one Brazilian that really makes it Chelsea and that's E. Williams maybe Santos will be a squad player but Washington will not make it will be sold and so will Angelo Gabrielle be sold and we've got one more Brazilian I wonder if he will make it CFC for life Chelsea pride of London and England lol come on you blues 💙 JK

You can always extend a contract. There’s no need to be dishing out 5 year contracts.
