Despite working with Clarkson, Hammond and May at DriveTribe for over five years, Lucy has never properly watched The Grand Tour. Recently Richard found out and decided that needed to change.

This is the kind of job I want. Watching The Grand Tour all day 🤣🤣🤣
Yes and now season two
I definitely think the Mongolia special is the best Grand tour episode. Most unique episode and very enjoyable.
Yes, I'd second that.
John!
John you beautiful machine!
My favorite episode. Kinda sad that John couldn't be imported and had to be destroyed.
@@Heizelss Rehab Car
Mongolia is far and away the best grand tour episode in my mind. I’d honestly love to see a 2 or 3 hour version of it. The filming was phenomenal and some of the views were unlike anything I’ve ever seen on this planet. The car was a personality all to itself and the boys seemed to be having an epic adventure regardless of the lack of alcohol
Lucy never fails to confound people, she hates cheese and most other foods and she works for the trio and had never watched the Grand Tour before this video 🤯🤯
Hard to believe the channel died when it featured 'Presenters' who could care less about the show, and appeared to almost actively sabotage videos...
I guess we should have known things were in bad shape when they started doing commercials for 'portable stone baked pizza ovens'...
@@StreetPreacherr couldn't care less*
Watching the Grand tour once, rookie numbers lol. I know I've watched The Grand tour something like 5-6 times, and I've probably watched every episode of Top gear about 3 or 4 times. But I just like re-watching things I enjoy. But regarding the video, at least Lucy watched the show and didn't dislike it, that was nice to see.
@@nicksosicc lol I’m the same! I’ve probably watched every episode of TG at least a dozen times (old TG that is!) it’s not very often that Lucy tries something new and actually likes it lol
Lucy has said she only intended to intern for drivetribe over the summer before going to Uni. Not surprising that she hasn't seen it honestly.
Did you consider watching them all on a proper television while sitting on a sofa? 😂
I was thinking that myself. 😂
She's a professional editor... It's her natural habitat! 😉
My favorite was the opening episode. With the sudden and fan heartbreaking departure from Top Gear fans were left pretty bummed. With that opening sequence oozing with redemption, rebirth and friendship I couldn't help as a fan, but to well up a little as the triumph of it all just washes over you. Just epic
Mongolian special. Best episode under TGT. John is the best car they built, too bad they couldn't export it back and had to destroy it.
That opening sequence still gives me goosebumps.
@@TheJoeT81 same
"Bummed a little"
Doesn't quite describe the terror and nilism and abyssal depression I was experiencing
When Top Gear was ending. I wanted to find the nancy Jeremy punched and hit him myself. Then Grand tour came and I put away the rope and bag for another day.
@@DallasJonez cheers 🤣
Lucy just did what many of us did during the pandemic! Great seeing Her again!
Right 🤣🤣🤣
Cutting her own hair?
I’d get screen sick watching tv non stop lol
The Grand Tour opening scene, all 6 Minutes of it, blew more money than the BBC ever spent on an entire season of Top Gear. Those are the 6 best Minutes of Television, ever. Unforgettable.
that was amazing, genuinely made me tear up when Hammond and May pull up next to Clarkson.
Scandi Flick was definitely my favourite for the same reason. While I enjoy their other shenanigans, I mostly come for the car culture, I think they got it right with that season.
I still put Mongolia Special before scandi flick
Lucy looks like she's been dragged out of bed and being punished to watch these episodes 😂
Wonderful to see Lucy again! My favorite segment of all the GTs was Clarkson's summary of Lancia vs Audi rally cross battles. Hammon's story about Jim Clark was a very very close second.
Scandi flick was something else.. Honeslty the most fun ive had watching a show in quite some time. This special had everything. A serious crash, the trio acting in their typical behaviour, seriously funny. The special felt like the old top gear. It just had everything and it was very entertaining
Lucy is definitely a major contribution to this channel. What better for a trio of old, quirky guys to have a young, quirky female associate? Lucy is great!
The two funniest scenes from the whole thing are when Capt. Slow got a shower from the fish tank in the Mercedes and when he got soaked opening the door of his cow camper.
“It’s 3am and I can’t for the life of me get the grand tour theme out of my head” that’s so relatable hahah.
Carnage a Trois is by far my favorite in recent memory. I really enjoy the informative aspects as well as history and even driving down the concept of how the French treat their cars is infinitely interesting to me. It is an entertainment show, I get that, but when they actually sit down and take a topic seriously, I like them a lot more... of course they can always fling a car at the French, who doesn't want to do that?
Lucy is back!
I'm always glad to see Lucy.
I’m glad you watched the whole of The Grand Tour Lucy! Very well done!!! 😊
What’s next you say? React to every time they destroy a Morris Marina.
Scandy Flick was definitely a love letter to cars.
Who here remembers Top Gear from the beginning? What a journey this has been. They do keep getting better
Just started watching top gear from the start
I watched the first episode of new TG when it was on in 2002 (whilst on holiday), but didn't have a TV licence back then, so didn't see the first few series, but watched most from mid 00's when I visited my nan's. Rewatched the whole thing from the beginning in its late years. Amazing what very basic cars, and what normal reviews, they did back then, although not necessarily a bad thing, kinda jumped the shark before it finished, the last series had started to pull it back so was gutted when it was cancelled having been the best it had been in years.
Its interesting watching old top gear to see all of the 'controversial' bits that have been cut out. I watched the polar special last night and they've cut the bit where they have gin and tonics
Great video Lucy! For me I think the Mongolia and Colombia specials were the best. The Madagascar episode and the episode with the race to Canada were also highlights in my book.
James really should've provided her with some of his gin for this project. Not that you need to be drunk to enjoy GT, but there was still a missed opportunity. 😁
Yay it's Lucy. That was an epic TV series binge, congratulations 🎉🥳🎉😄
Now just a FEW episodes of Top Gear to get through! So jealous that I can't watch everything again for the FIRST TIME!
A Scandi Flick, International Buffoons' vacation, Colombia Special, Carnage a Trois and Survival of the Fattest are my favorite specials. My favorite of the normal "tent format" episodes are: Happy Finnish Christmas, Holy Trinity, Enviro-mental, Italian Lessons and Well aged Scotch
No more Grand Tour? “Clarkson you idiot!!!!”
This makes me think of the scene from Community where Abed watches every Nicholas Cage movie in one go.
Honestly my favorite was the boat special - it was just so wild 😂 Though the whole time I just wanted to tell them to stop cuz they looked so miserable by the end
Season 1 was quite experimental, and whilst still enjoyable, it hasn't aged as well as 2 or especially 3.
I agree with you on the celeb segments. I usually skip them.
The opening sequence of the first episide still very moving
Nice to see Lucy Brown back on the channel. For what next - it's got to be TG.
Thanks for the video, enjoyed every second
When I had a newborn I watched all of them when I was up at night. I then started at the very first Clarkson/Hammond/May series of Top Gear (yes I know season 1 had some guy called Jason) and watched all of those as well. I'm having another baby in July so I guess it'll be time for another marathon!
Awesome Episode!!!! So glad to see an episode featuring Lucy & what a great idea this was.
A true petrol head, just the back catalogue of Top Gear to watch now 😂😂
Amazing watch through haha i love every episode, carry on
This was amazing! I would also love to see more outtakes from the GrandTour. Wonder why Amazon doesn’t do those. At the end of each season or smth. I’d probably pay extra for that 😂
Our favorite was the first one because we were there.
Our least favorite was the first one because they didn’t cone out during the break and buggered off by chopper immediately afterwards.
Missed Lucy. I also enjoyed her RUclips channel. Keep them coming
Season 1 episode 1 opening was the best. They got better as they went on and ditched the tent. I like the adventures they do.
Mongolia Special, Colombia and scandi flick.
I've got to ask my boss if i can watch it on work time aswell - haven't seen it either... That would just about fit into a 42hr work week.
I absolutely love the music the second half of the opening in episode 1. (when they meet up in the mustangs)
Being from Michigan, I really enjoyed the Motown Funk episode. Those 3 cars gave me a real sense of pride, since Richard usually gets so much grief for loving the American muscle cars. It was clear they were all loving their cars. I also really appreciated them showing that Detroit is making a comeback. Yes, it still has some rough edges, but the show almost went out of its way to point out the improvement.
I just finished watching Sand Job, and while it's not my absolute favorite (that would be Mongolia), it was as entertaining as ever. I hear there is one episode left for GT - hope the show goes out with the Mighty Huzzah! that it deserves. To the whole Grand Tour Team - Job Well Done and thanks for everything!!!
The first episode, when James and Richard join Jeremy is perfect, so special. Even more if you came from watching all Top Gear seasons and loving the trio.
They could have at least given you a sofa
Mongolia, Vietnam and the Africa specials are my favorites. Glad to see you back, Lucy!
Lucy! We missed you!
@10:14 Amen to that... I watched each episode when they came out and wow, I forgot just how many great episodes there were. What I like about the Grand Tour is that it mostly consists of what I liked best from old Top Gear where the boys would pick three cars and do a random challenge where they are always somewhere different.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏ITS LUCY BROWN 👏👏👏 ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE YOU DID A VIDEO ... GLAD YOUR BACK IN YOUR OWN 👏👏👏👏👏
I was lucky enough to be in the audience for one of the episodes. It was the 'Unscripted' one (S2E4 I think). It was a brilliant day. The ep was one of my least favourite episodes to watch at home, but I remember thinking how many subtle references there were in the edit that aired, that referred to things that happened in the studio on the day, that were cut - which then made it far more entertaining. Great memories to have though.
i have literally watched as many seasons of Top Gear that were available in the states, every Grand Tour ( probably no less than a hundred times each) most of the Drive Tribe content and Jeremy farming, Our man James May, Hammonds odds and ins.... you name if it i could get it here in Texas i have watched it.
I still find it funny when Jeremy and Richard filled James May's caravan with water in the Loch Down special
That would have taken many days of preparation by the crew. Making the thing watertight and bracing such a flimsy vehicle to take so many tons of water.
The Colombia Special and the Namibia specials were my favorites for sure.
I had an Idea though! Since the golden trio are getting older, why not film OTHERS doing a Grand Tour and be judges?! They could take resumes from fans and pit the 6 or so motor-heads against each other with challenges along the way. I'd love to see what kind of fun they could get up to, forcing the contestants through jungle, desert, snow, and just racing in general.
❤️❤️ I VOTE LUCY BROWN AND MIKE PRODUCE GRAND TOUR ON RUclips 🙏🙏🙏 HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY EVERYONE ✌️
YT is the worst for censoring! They could create their own streaming service at this point without too much worry. Maybe release small clips on other channels but everything else behind the paywall.
Looks like i’m not the only one trying to find all the best sitting positions to watch the grand tour :-)
I first encountered the trio during the covid lockdown. The very first episode I watched was the Lochdown special. As an American, I was intrigued by how the" land yachts" would handle in Scotland. Loved it. I became a fan afterward. I've watched and rewatched all of Grand Tour. I also love their other projects like James' "Our Man in" series and "Clarkson's Farm". Unfortunately, I can't see Hammond's series on US Discovery +.
I watch lots of stuff on Discovery+ but Hammond's series does not show up on there for me either.
That's epic binge watching! Hope it's not the end of the line for the GT considering Clarkson's current self-inflicted predicament.
What’s he done?
@@plotdot32 He opened mouth and inserted foot again. Just google it. Clarkson's Sun piece on Markle.
Dared to insult queen Megan
Now there are only 22 Seasons of Top Gear left to watch :D
heyyy really cool to see Lucy back in a full video! really miss Lucy channel videos.
Enjoyed watching you enjoy! Miss your channel, glad to see you doing stuff here! Now you need to watch all the Top Gear episodes with THE trio!
My favorite was the one with the boats. I find it most entertaining when they do things out of their comfort zones. (Loved the old lorry special and the bikes in vietnam from old TG). Mongolia is probably my second favorite as again, it's fun seeing them all having a laugh together.
The Mongolian one, somehow I can feel their thirst of beer and wine😅
The parts of "Carnage A Trois" not involving the trebuchet made me laugh like a drain.
What a treat! All episodes!!! Wow!😂
A Scandi Flick was definitely my favorite. It straight up felt like late 2000's Top Gear
For me TGT is at its best when they go on an adventure, no silly tent or audience, just them exploring the world. The Madagascar special is my absolute favorite, but the entire season 4 is amazing
I completely disagree - it’s become apparent over the years how formulaic and scripted those specials are. Like when they “crashed” through the ice in a scandi flick. Obviously fake.
So good to see you again Lucy
The Grand Tour failed to recapture the magic of Top Gear. Old Top Gear is infinitely re-watchable. This is not the case for The Grand Tour.
Hi Lucy! We missed you ❤
the editing in the beginning is everything
Id imagine it’s a whole different experience watching it when you know the presenters personally
That first episode with the three mustangs hit me hard when I first watched it. Those three are true friends to each other for better and worse!
Next do all the trios top gear episode in one sitting. 😂 would be there for a weeks
She is back! Love it.
the electrical system in the MB estate is amazing,
any modern MB would have caught fire by the third splash
Can we please start a GoFundMe for this girl and get her a proper chair lol
She has a job she should buy one herself
Or maybe her millionaire bosses could cough up a few quid for one.
@@Nihil0s 😂
Dream job - watching all the grand tour episodes in a row and getting paid xD
Best series ever! 3 iconic trio!
They did Top Gear for so long that I often misattribute some of their most epic moments to the old show. They really have jam packed a ton of great comedy and epic adventures into these last few years.
To be fair, Hammond constantly crashed in both shows, sometimes almost fatally.
Grand tour is not a patch on old top gear to be fair, earlier seasons especially but it's still worth watching to see the 3 of them together
It’s great to see you back in front of the camera again Lucy. Fantastic to see you back.
How dare your bosses make you endure such a show without a proper lazy chair and alcohol...
Excellent - this sums up my covid time. I did not know about Funeral for Ford. I didn't find it
Please oil your chair, as someone who spends the day and most nights in a PC chair, I know what it's like for every move to squeak. It becomes so ingrained into you, that once you do oil it and it's quiet, you go on for the rest of the day expecting the squeak with every movement before it settles in.
I watched every episode multiple times!!!
Bit of WD-40 on the pivot of that chair should sort out the squeek
the trio are unmatched
Yay! Lucy!!! Scandi flick and survival of the fattest are fantastic.
Would love more!
My favorite episode is 'I need to watch something besides clips and compilations that have clips from the show.' Not everyone has the same interests, but when you get all these different programs on different mediums that complicate things like if I had a television setup for regular TV, I can't get cable shows from Britain or satellite shows from Japan, etc. and would have to get them from other means, including options from online, but there is Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Premium, Disney Plus, and loads more that have movies and episodes I would have to wait for to be available on another or are exclusives. Then add in all the complications of getting subscriptions to all of those, maintaining the bills for all those subscriptions, remembering your emails and passwords for all of them, etc. There's the Archive organization that has a lot of public broadcasting, books and more all on one website for free, but there's bounds to be loads of stuff I'd like to watch that they don't have.
The trio is undefeated, entertainment for decades
13:55 please put a squirt of WD40 on that chair mechanism. Im sure James May has some he can lend you 😆
nice to see you again . missing content on your channel . .
I really enjoy Lucy's videos. My question would be: favourite conversation street stinger?
You do really have a great job Lucie. Getting watch the grand tour as ur job sounds pretty awsome
Favorite bit was the opening of first episode of season 1 with Clarkson. Watched that a lot. I liked the bit with them at SAS training. I don’t think I have a single episode I like the best. Really liked them all except the American bits.
I wonder which version of the theme song Lucy had stuck in her head? It changed after season/series one.
Hello LucyBrown... Thanks for the upload.. It's always great to see you and what you've been up to.
Where's my Rachel? I miss her...:(
