I wish more online drummers would do this in videos. You played it fast FIRST so we can all hear what it sounds like in context before going on to teach the fill.
The tom to snare fill I've used many many times,.... I actually 1st got the idea when I seen Tre Cool use it in the song Basketcase. I've went on to use it quiet a bit playing metal.
I’m still learning by ear. I’m a left handed drummer. I can remember when I decided to listen to songs and try an play them exactly like on the record. Yeah,I said record. I’m old. 😂. Also left handed on drums. Play a little guitar,right handed,I think cause I played other people’s when I started? Anyway I started by learning some Alice Cooper. Neal Smith was a pretty cool drummer. I learned Public Animal #9. The Halo of Flies. That had a sorta solo in the middle. Then I was played a lot of Mitch Mitchell. I loved Hendrix an the band I was in was doing a lot. So I started with Purple Haze. Worked my way up to Fire,Manic Depression. I see young drummers learning so quickly cause of guys like this. It’s a great thing . I’d done a jam with a fantastic guitar player from Brazil. David Thomazone. He’s what you’d call a real guitarist. As I just play from the heart. Shoulda really learned more about the instruments. Being a rebel only held back knowledge. I’m guessing it’s a way of not saying I’m Any. Lol. It’s true. Anyway Rock on. God bless. As disappointed as I am that there aren't any double basses involved (not that I know how to drum like that anyways), it's pretty cool to see how well-rounded you are :)
