Your tank looks incredible. I am planning on getting a 125 gallon tank next year. Now I have a 55 gallon tank with a 10 year old Dwarf Neon Rainbow. He survived in a 10 gallon for several years. I have since added more rainbows (10).
Beautiful tank. Great job man. The scape is perfect and I love all those colors of fish. I don't think you have too many. I'm glad you won the battle over Ich. Thanks for sharing this, and we're looking forward to updates in the future. Stay cool.
Could you elaborate more on this because these guys never seen to be even remotely satisfied with how much h food they get haha. Is there a specific risk with rainbows and over feeding?
@@RodsAquatics The over feeding has to do with dirtying up the tank. Your fish are just training YOU to feed them. A good quality food and maybe a treat like brine shrimp once a week and your fish will be fine. *brine shrimp once or twice a week.
Great job. I have dwarf rainbows in my 75 gallon planted tank with lots of other species of fish as well as 3 types of snails and many shrimp. Your rainbow fish look amazing in that tank.
@@RodsAquatics To be honest i caught one of them swimming around with one of my new purebred yellow shrimp hanging out of it's mouth like a cigar. I wasn't too happy seeing that but it hasn't happened since then. They do get very close to the shrimp that feed on top of the 2 caves in the tank but don't bother them. i have lots of new shrimp being born in the tank but I provided them with cholla logs to hide in until they grow a bit. I just make sure the rainbows are fed and it's working out well. I can't say they have never grabbed another one but the shrimp are not being chased or harassed by them. I started with a order of " skittles shrimp " many many months ago and they are doing amazing. I've heard others have had luck doing this so I tried it out. I'm glad I did. Thank you for your comment and have a great day. Your tanks are wonderful .
I'm a rainbowfish fanatic. I'm currently planning a 20 long and I've gotten my choice of rainbows down to 2 types. Either furcatas or threadfins. I'll run a seachem tidal 35 with glass lids, good lighting for plant growth and black sand. I'd like to have around 6 fairy corys with nerite snails, or 6 dwarf chaon loaches with no snails. In your opinion, which rainbowfish would work best in a 20 long? I had 10 praecox rainbows in my 55g but a 20 is too small for praecox rainbows. Just subbed to your channel. Can't wait to see how this tank develops
The only experience I have with nano rainbowfish is the Red Neon Blue Eye Rainbowfish. I have them in my 20 tall. They pretty much hide in the back All the time. I've seen the fork tail in my lfs and they look cool. Let me know how they are maybe I'll get some too.
Hey Rod, beautiful tank! Do you happen to know the official name for those blue rainbows you have in your tank? As they are not the standard blue/lake kutubu rainbow. Thanks in advance!
Beautiful can you keep updating I was actually thinking of buying some lake aytinjo boesemani rainbowfish for them because they are one of the few places that lets you pick your ration. Hell i am doing the same substrate method in the same size tank too lol oh and the same exact sand lmao
Imperial Topicals is where I get 90% of my fish for my 125. One of the best for sure. I have Boesemanies, Goyder Rivers and Wapoga's (Schools of 5 for each - 2 males 3 females), a School of rummy nose tetras, ottos and a breeding pair of Blue Eye lemon bristle nose plecos.
For anyone wondering the one i forgot the name of is a Goyder Rainbowfish
I love the 125 gallon Rainbow tank❤❤❤❤

Tank looks great! A lot of live plants will help you manage all the rainbows as they grow. Don’t over feed and you will be fine.

That's sounds awesome, they don't eat the shrimp? I have a 90 gallon with shrimp I'd love to put dwarfs in

Very nice scape. I like this long-form tanks. I do not think it's overstocked as long as the filter can handle the waste. It's not crowded either.
Great looking tank bro!
Much appreciated

Channel and tank, Excellent!!
Rainbowfish tanks are one of the best types of setups in the freshwater world ! Rainbows and roselines are one of the best combos !
You should try Rosy Barbs, Odessa Barbs and Leoparddanios with Elecktrick Blue Acara!
Looks great! What sort of light are you using?

Kamaka rainbowfish. Thanks for watching
Schönes langes Becken, so dass die Regenbogenfische auch genügend Schwimmraum haben! 😀
Looks great! Did you add all those fish at once?
Yes I did, I have and fx6 and sunsun 504 that were fully cycled on a tank with a heavier bio load, so there was no issues
