Beer free or free beer yes I like the comparison! You have a very good sense of humor! A bar I used to go into had a sign "Free Beer Tomorrow" Tomorrow is always one day away. 😉
😄👍🙌🍻
A view from the UK. Igor, i've just finished binge watching all 5 episodes and loved it. I particularly loved your sailing "tutorials" given in an easy to understand way. But i've got to tell you as a non sailor, i always thought sailors were permanently trying to go as fast as they can. Having watched your videos i'm so wrong. You just love to cruise within yours and the boats capacity. Your enthusiasm, skill and experience are so obvious even i would crew for you. Great work, keep 'em coming.
Don't forget it's brown sauce on your "Full English".
Thanks Robert 🙌👍🍻
Nice Neel 65 cameo at the end, huge yacht. This was a great series, learned a lot. Thank you for uploading these videos.
@@pietrolux I would definitely say yes. Even the the 51 would be suitable and the 65 is much larger. Don't know about its performance as a sailing yacht but see no problem as a blue water yacht for round the world trips. There's enough room for a large family or multiple families. Search for some walk-through videos of the 65, it's crazy how much space is on that model.
@@pietrolux would think the 51 would be fine for that - it has 4 double cabins! The Neel 65 is huge...
Thanks for taking us on this voyage with you, your hosts and the sailboat.
Thanks!
I am not a sailor. But your videos are teaching me a lot about sailing. Every video is incredibly informative. Thanks mate. Respect.
Thanks Joe 🙏🍻
This is a dream boat for me any my husband. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 🙏
Igor thank you for sharing your journey
Welcome 🍻
You make it look cool, fun and beautiful. Add night activities and then it’s a perfect party!
🍻
I just wanted to say thanks for an hour of casual entertainment! You just took me away from my day 🙂
Thanks 🙏
Thanks for sharing !
Best sailing channel with lots and lots of alpha. Thanks Igor.
🙌👍
Thank you for another very informative video!
Thanks AJ!
Igor you have a great sense of humor. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks 🍻
Sargassum is edible, it's harvested to feed livestock too, and you can fry, boil, steam or dry it. It's played a part in Chinese medicine as far back as the 8th century, treating goiters (high iodine content) - and made into tea to control phlegm.
great job Igor..you are the man
Thanks 🍻
Excellent! Have a nice time!
Thanks Luc!
I laugh along side you, your both informative educational and funny , your sarcasum is refreshing :)
Thanks Dave!
Desde Puerto Rico waiting for the video
As always interesting. Thanks! And new adventures )
Thanks Yevgeniy!
Hey, I've never seen sailed but I absolutely love this series
Thanks 🙏🍻
Just finished the series, will be completing the same trip towards the end of the year on a Neel 51 as well! Thanks for all the insights
Thanks 🍻
Super się to ogląda ✌️
Thanks 🙏
FYI i understand birds can fly huge distances and whenever they need to take a break from flying they just land on the water and chill for a few moments
Great sailing!
Haha love your definition of optimism
👍🍻
You've done an excellent job communicating precisely what people want to know; that's an innate skill.
With the low drag nature, but loaded down, cruising nature of the Neel 51, having that large down wind sail set up would have made life easy and relatively quick. I do wonder about larger sails/mast.
Thanks 🙏👍🍻
You are a good communicator good video
Thanks 👍🍻
Great series of films Igor. Thanks for putting this trip on video and sharing. As always your insight derived through experiencing other sailing boats adds a great deal of context to every one of the films that you make. Here is a thought... Why don't you put together a "Best of..." series using the clips that you already have and comparing the features and benefits of the various sailboats that you have experienced?
Thanks Tony! Should do that film one day.
Super nice series! Thank you Igor for sharing your adventure! I'm looking forward my first crossing taht I hope will happen soon but will do it with someone experienced like you the first time. :) If I join you next time I promise to have free beer on the boat! ;)
Thanks! 🍻
Awesome , what a great trip on a well equiped Neel
Thanks!
@@IgorStropnik .
Hello Igor, do you have any idea when you are going to have another sailing journey.
@@generalsedan517 New video on Saturday 😀 On L46.
@@IgorStropnik Loved the first episode, cant wait to see the next, looks like the L46 needs some development
@@generalsedan517 All the boats need it. There is no perfect boat and many are worst.
Wow, great trip. And what a wonderful vessel. That seems a better mouse trap than a Cat! I like it. I have made this-9 kind of passages on my older 44 foot Peterson Cutter. Wow the space and stability are wonderful. We had a 39 foot waterline and plenty of sail so 7-9 kts pretty normal in the trades. The weed is Sargasso weed and most do knot realize that it is edible. Just so you avoid any blue green algae. Raw or cooked. Also often small crabs and fish inside. Love the modern and capable radar. Good for you for practicing celestial. I use to teach it in a planetarium. A great place to learn the concepts. And then practicing with an artificial horizon. Great video and wonderful trip on a wonderful vessel.
Thanks for info Fred!
Thx, very useful !
Thanks 🙏
Very exciting. Would have been nice to see some of the island though. Will you be giving us a bit of a tour?
Thanks Sarah! There were riots on the island and roads closed so didnt travel much.
Me he divertido mucho co tantas explicaciones parece fácil hacer algo así.jaja
Gracias !
Thanks Michel!

I think this seahgrass is „Sargassum“ , which is giving name to Sargasso Sea … -seems, it can be found southeast, too ^^
Yes 👍🍻
thanks from Polen
Welcome 🙏
Cool ..
🙌👍
The worst side of approaching caribbean is completing the passage of Atlantic, which is mystic and holy.
Igor ,Thanks for sharing your voyages .I like how you explain how the B&G nav-system operates along with the various options and tricks that are available within the system, something other channels don't seem to want to explain. I also like how you point out some of the negatives of each boat design and considering the high end price for these Cats ,you would think the manufactures wouldn't penny pinch at such minor things.
Well done on the great series !
You might want to get your website looked at because I always get blocked and warned by Norton that the site is a dangerous site and not to enter ...just letting you know. Cheers.
Thanks Nige! Dont know what to do about website :(

Igor ,I did some checking, did a scan of your site ,result comes up as a follows.
DoS vulnerability .
SEE #4 below for possible best solution.
What steps should be taken when a DoS or DDoS attack is detected?
Is DoS attack a vulnerability?
Other DoS attacks simply exploit vulnerabilities that cause the target system or service to crash. In these attacks, input is sent that takes advantage of bugs in the target that subsequently crash or severely destabilize the system, so that it can't be accessed or used.
How to stop a DDoS attack
1.Identify the DDoS attack early. ...
2.Overprovision bandwidth. ...
3.Defend at the network perimeter (if you run your own web server) ...
4.Call your ISP or hosting provider. ...
5.Call a DDoS mitigation specialist. ...
6.Create a DDoS playbook.

Thanks for that. As my page is with Weebly I guess they are the ones who can fix it. 🍻
@@IgorStropnik Igor,.Get onto Weebly mate, with them being US based I'm sure they'll be pro active to sort it out pronto...Otherwise you could migrate your domain name across to another host site(ISP) but just ensure you've got all of the correct protocols set up to ensure you don't have future Dos (denial of service) issue's..
Let me know if I can be of any further help .Cheers Nige.

Really useful and instructive and fun video!---I like and respect this guy's views and experience and opinions !===wow ! a lot of "common sense"----and that is not so common these days ! Very enjoyable video---and painless education !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, almost worth watching the video for seeing how easy it is to transfer fuel. I have never seen one like that before! It does seem a little stressful crossing if your short on crew.
3 crew is minimum. But 6 is max.
Nice vid, I sail the Great Lakes around Michigan, Sailed on 38ft, 44 ft and 65 ft mono hulls. Would love to play with a multi hull.
Thanks Dolph🙏🍻
Thank you
Thanks 🍻
e um sonho ter um catamaram assim lindo
🙌👍🙏🍻
It appears that it's a very smooth ride . I really like the trimaran
Can't imagine a better way to end the video.
The seaweed is called sargassum . It naturally floats while it is alive and then sinks when it dies. When it is alive it provides shelter to small fish etc.. and when it dies it sinks to the ocean floor providing food to ocean life of all sorts .
Can we eat it?
@@IgorStropnik How to eat Sargassum?
As Asian countries have the most experience with eating seaweed, most of the approaches have an Oriental spin. Some Sargassums are consumed fresh, others cooked in coconut milk or a little vinegar or lemon juice. It is smoked-dried to preserve it. Sargassum is also eaten by itself or added to fish and meat dishes.
@@gregpargetter3260 🙌🍻👍
interesting philosophy and thought process of sailing, it makes thing lower effort... why complicate or try to be more than necessary. it would be nice to see a blue ocean crossing with what you would consider optimum sails, boat, etc. plus an unavoidable storm would be a nice bonus lol. do you have a video like that?
Lagoon 52 from Amsterdam was that kind of trip except no storm as we avoid them. 🙏🍻🙌
@@IgorStropnik I'll look it up! Thanks👍
Thanks Igor! When do we see you next?
In 1 week.
10:00 They used ionising radiation to kill any bacteria in the packet.👍
🙏👍🍻
I would suspect the ready meals are prepared in the same way as canned foods where they are sealled hot and kept above 50C for a period to ensure any bacteria is dead. Preservatives might be used to preserve the flavour, but it is unlikely they would be relied upon to keep the food edible.
I will stay away from it for s while 😃
super content,
knowledge transfer and entertainment.
good to see balkan sailors exploring the world (says the passioned sailor from Sarajevo living in NewZealand).
so where does the NEEL 51 go next?
and what is your next move?

Thanks! Neel sails Caribbean and I go home :(
@@IgorStropnik well that’s a win-win ;-)
IGOR great series, we enjoyed watching it very much. Why were your results RTD on the ARC finishing results? Based on the boats you have experienced, which one would you buy without thinking about money?
Thanks! We started 1 day latter on first leg so RTD. Would like to test more boats. Would probably buy aluminum expedition cat or mono.
How fast do you think the Neel could do it? I am very interested in its speed comapred to the fleet.
@@j.scottlaprise6063 If you go light…no generator, no ac, only little diesel in tanks, minimum food and water you will be very fast if you push the boat. You need good crew, big set of sails and not afraid of blowing out your spinakers. It will be very loud and uncomfortable, hard to sleep but a good adventure. You will have two digits speed all the time if lucky with winds.
five parts well done. But would you do a closing review of you pros and cons on the neel. if you were in the market for a new boat where would this fall on your choices.
Not easy to answer...
Tista morska trava je sargaso trava, ki jo veter in valovi natrgajo in odpihnejo izven Sargaso sea.

Igor, odlično predstavljaš vedenje o jadranju, skratka mam desno in levo roko, če bo kdaj par rok premal.
Hvala 🙏
After watching the 5 episodes, I want to buy a boat and hit the seas...
You can do it 🙌🍻👍
How do you feel about the Trimaran for a novice sailor? Would you say it’s too much boat ?
Probably best to start with mono and than multyhulls
Ths, verry nice video, info. Haw many deys was tu cros the Ocean.. Gibraltar - Caraibe? 15+7..?
Canaries to Cape Verde 7 days and than 15 days to Martinique.
This is amazing sailboat. I bet if you pushed it harder it would make great time. Would work out some chaffing gear for your lines and power wall for storing juice.
Want to test it empty one day.
@@IgorStropnik were the sails / mast big enough given the size and weight? A great journey and demonstration of nature of wind: always interesting to see other sailboats in AIS.
@@Abebe345 we were missing code 0 and parasail but otherwise ok.
@@IgorStropnik I'm still intrigued by the boat on your Cape Verde Carribean crossing that was making 13 knots in 11 knots of wind without doing anything "dramatic" as you observed.
About the food: I'm no specialist, but I guess it might have gone thru some pasteurizing process. Probably after sealed, the hole package was put in boiling water, killing every bacteria that was inside, like this: ruclips.net/video/OTc0qpLtdCY/видео.html
Probably yes. 👍
Igor I love your videos. Can you tell me the brand and model of the hat you are wearing? Thanks
Thanks 🙌🍻 Hat is from Millet. Don’t know model.
Does this size multihull hold enough fuel to motor across the entire ocean?
No. You would need around 3000 liters.
Never sailed saba but saona is very good. It depends from your preferences. The best is to rent and try.
line a winch and you can real in fish.
How is the Bahamas to Mediterranean crossing?
North Atlantic is more challenging.
please share my contact with owners, as I am 20mins north of Cobourg where their boat is registered. I own a corsair F27 also registered in cobourg
Is there spare IGOR....?😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
How can you eat those pre made dinners ,torture yuk
They were not the best but it is food.
i think the weed (around 27') is sargasso weed, Igor.
Yes and some say you can eat it.
@@IgorStropnik If they did that for a few days, and they still said this to you, then it's probably true ;-)

No sail at night?
Sail at night.
why cant everyone go to sleep and just have some radar wake you if something is like close?
Radar is not as good and you have to watch sails and wind

Sargassum weed lines fisherman follow to catch mahi mahi
With floating seaweed, it is no good for you. You can only have fresh seaweed if you cut it, like harvesting tomato or any other vegetable. Dead floating seaweed is the product of bad fishing practices. Seaweed is very healthy for you. Unfortunately big fishing is destroying seaweed fields across the world which has a devastating affect on all aquamarine, a bit like mining and cutting rainforests. Changing subject to the boat, i wish you could have free beer!! Cheers!
Thanks Kai! So no salat with seaweed.
Did you whine all the time?
show us the sailing and ocean , stop talking

can you tell us how you manage to buy this millions $ vessel Igor ? have a sugar daddy or a reach daddy or what ? mafia ? at your age hard to buy a boat like this. are you a Putin's oligarch
