You need some floating pond plants. Your koi will be much less stressed and the pond will look better. Look around in your local canals for Water Hyacinth. They grow like crazy, produce blue flowers and best of all THEY ARE FREE.
You better don't. Parasites often travel with the plants

Koi are cold water fish. They don't need warmth to survive. It's a very common pondfish in Europe where they can survive the winter if the pond is deep enough.

Luke I breed guppies and would recommend you get 2 females for every 1 male you buy as you got more chance of breeding occurring.

I would do 3 male and 10 female guppies. It's usually recommended 1 male to 3 female but I think you should do more. so 3 male and 10 female would be pretty cool in my opinion😊

Hey your vids are great I have a 8 foot by 8 foot pond it's pretty big I have 4 butterfly and two regular koi the biggest one is 7 or 8 inches. I have live plants and good filtration could I get anymore
Evan Wawrzonek don’t go by your pond volume, go by your water quality. As long as you have no ammonia, no nitrite and you try to keep your nitrate as low as possible. Make sure your fish have enough room to swim comfortably without bumping into each other and as koi grow BIG make sure you have enough room for the future. As long as you have all that go ahead and add more fish. Hope that helps.

Guppies should be kept in a 1 male to 2+ female ratio. That way one female is not harassed so much.

I payed 2 dollars for my platinum koi lol and it was a little bigger (in Croatia) and btw guppys cost about 20c
It’s 3 females for every 1 male, so let’s say you were to get 24 females, you would get 8 males, if there are more males than females the males will literally kill them. I breed guppies all the time. Super easy and fun
