yeah your tile draws were very unlucky, plus hes like 400 rating higher than you, it was gonna be a massacre. but you held strong, and if you learned something from the game and had fun, that's all that matters

Does the phrase 'draw a blank' come from Scrabble, or is that a coincidence? I suppose the two meanings have nothing in common.
Found a source online which says the idiom is over 500 years old. According to them, it refers to drawing a non-winning lottery ticket.
