You seriously spent more time getting this Chad home than the whole restoration on the stream!

But this one needs a while lot more work, and was a third of the price...

I find the best car for towing cars, right now at least, is put those high performance parts in the LAD, then just leave it in 5th gear and drive it as an automatic. I am safe enough to start it in 4th gear now after some practice, but I just left it in 5th until I got used to it, after wrecking the car..maybe worse than you did with driving it, I did not even make it out of sight of the shop. :) When you tow a car you might try 3rd gear, or 4th to be safe, depending on how much power you gave it, and how comfortable you are, it's always best to start too high and down shift than to start to low. That high gear starting just keeps the acceleration down, so you are much less apt to go flying off a cliff or spinning out off the road.
You can't build a car from nothing...I am not even sure your free Chad you took apart even registers as a car anymore. I am not sure how far down you can go, but when I get a free car I try to remove and replace a little at a time, to avoid any issues. You can't buy two parts and just stick them together, and start a new car.
A tip for junkyard picking; if you see a door or body panel that looks dented or rusty, buy it, even if you don't need it. Just save it and put on the first car that needs it, you just need to grind the rust off, hammer any dents a maybe add body filler. I just checked in game, you had a Chad Quarter Panel you could have got for $19, to buy a new one is $179.4, both need to be repainted, and the one may just need some rust knocked off first, but you save $160.
I have always tried to take my cars off the trailer outside and push them in...after watching this, that seems a much better way to do it. There is a new get unstuck feature in the menu if a reload does not fix it. :)
I think this project might be better than if you got a free car, a Chad has a lot of parts, and while it was really fun to restore a free Chad, it took a lot of time to figure out what I needed and where everything goes. Junkyard cars tend to have fewer missing parts, so you can break it down and replace the missing parts, as opposed to figuring out everything, without any reference. I might even start fixing up used cars when a new car or engine type is released, to get a frame of reference before trying the more challenging rebuilds.

Not really, the V8 it is where it is at, especially if combined with the NIV.
