not that I can see. just a 'new game' or 'continue' button and you're in

As much as I do not care for the idea of survival in this game, I would love to spawn in a random map, with a barely running car, garage, parts catalog, phone, gas station. Finding a parts store, junkyard, dealership random car spawns, buildings, furniture, and any items or places of interest could all be scattered in the world. The random map looks great, but driving around, eating and drinking, to see how long before you die, or get stranded is not my game style. At the core, I want to buy cars, fix them up then sell them, just have a random world any time I start a new game.
The graphics really look nicer than the main map, different tree types that are not evergreens it just feels newer, than the base game map. Maybe he'll update it, but he seems to be trying new things, and not necessarily looking to go back and improve the old map, or build a new one. Maybe I should look into mods sometime if he does not change the base map or something. But really the same old boring map is still really fun to hoard cars and parts.
Though really the nomadic style of the game I think is where this game mode loses me. If I could find a shop, earn money, and then buy the food I need it would be alright....but then again I am just playing the same old normal game mode with a random map at that point.
Unless I've not noticed it and an in danger of dying, there's no eating out drinking mechanic. It's only the survival of the car, not the player that's a factor. I really hope that never becomes a thing.
@@AsqRob If you click on the experimental game modes to start or load a survival game it has a few features listed telling what it offers and the last point says, "Needs for Drinking Eating and Sleeping - NOT IMPLEMENTED YET"
I do love a good survival game from time to time, at it's heart even Minecraft is a survival game. But this game does the car mechanics, painting, and body repair so well that the survival would get in the way. The closest game I have seen to it is Car Mechanic Simulator, but even on hard mode you can't really mess up and forget oil or a part, as it won't let you take an unfinished car off the lift, or does the game let your drive around the map. My garage beat it out back in August when it just had a LAD and an I4 engine, and it has come quite a long ways since then.
