I could have gone on and on about the benefits of being caffeine-free in the video but decided to cut it short. It's pretty remarkable how much of a difference it can make, but it's also very specific to the person. Some people are greatly affected by caffeine, like me, while others don't seem impacted by it at all. What's your experience with caffeine? Do you think you're addicted? Also, I decided to not use any background music while I was speaking. Yay or nay? I'm not sure how much difference that makes and if it's better or worse. Thanks!
empbac if it's not affecting you negatively in any way, then there's no reason to quit :) I never thought of using coffee for mixing protein powder and creatine. Interesting...
I usually have a cup of coffee as a pre-workout during the week and in the weekend mornings I'll have maybe 2 or 3 cups because I work quite early. I never have any caffeine after 2pm, as to not harm my sleep. But i'm wondering if having caffeine in the morning may also harm my rest. What times in the day did you drink? You mentioned being anxious in the afternoon so did you have coffee later in the day as well? Also I think I prefer having light music in the back, I see a lot of kinda lofi stuff in the back but I find it's more focusing in a way to have some background noise.
Can you link the source to that claim? I never heard about Caffeine releasing stress hormones (in reasonably low doses that is... Obviously chugging 10cups of coffee changes things). As far as I know, Caffeine binds to adenosine receptors in your neurons, preventing you from getting tired. Please let me know which sources the author of that book claims...
I rid my body from caffeine, alcohol and refined sugar for three months... Best time of my life. Feeling light, focused, energised, confident and so f* balanced! Highly recommended it to ANYONE
Could you give some advice? In what order did you do it? All at once or one after the other? Did you slowly stop or cold turkey? Personally I never drink alcohol (religious thing) and have had a period (4 months) where I cut out added sugar, however that was very difficult.
@@BornaDjavdan Hello, i did all at once. along side laying off marijuana (for insomnia) after 15 years. It all felt right to do NOW, so it wasn't that hard. Make sure you eat well, fresh, lots of vegetables and other healthy food. If you have problems coming off the caffeine, start with decaf or drink some teas. When it comes to natural sugar intake, which the body def needs, I get it from smoothies twice a day (base bananas and apple or oraganes, maca, cacao, protein, nuts, seeds,etc)... you want something super sweet - , have a fig... You know? There's so many natural ingredients out there to work with... Maybe I should publish a video about that on my other channel myself. :) Anyway, hope that helps...
@@micl4021 So it seems you are still clean ? I am about 3 months off cafeine ... I think cacao has some cafeine ? ANd 5 years no alcool. Feel like new, present, light. Some fatigue, but not to bad, as it shall pass.
My coffee symptoms : headaches, poor sleep quality, anxiety, unrelaxed body, unsteady mood, increased anger, it affects even in an irregular breath frequency. Quitting caffeine is live changing! I defintely recommend to quit this addiction!
Your comment has convinced me. ive been drinking 3 to 5 sodas a day for a year. i have developed chronic daily headaches.......my anxiety has gotten at an all time high etc....
I quit coffee for about a year now. My thoughts: Less anxiety, which is why i stopped it in the first place, that and i felt like i was too dependent on it also I couldn't add any more stress. Life is enough as is. Better sleep. Especially in the winter time. I feel more in control of my emotions when i face challenging situations, i mean i am still me but i do feel better without it. There you go. Hopefully this is useful somehow.
Ya, the big one was emotions. I would hit an obsstacle and be angry about how stupid it was and waste time and energy being angry. I still have that issue without caffeine because the feeling is still there, but I can deal with it much better
I started yelling and being rude to people after coffee when faced with a new stressful situation.. started getting stuck couldnt get out of my car.. the anger outburst drove away people and ruined my life!
Loved coffee, drank 2 cups a day. I would have severe heartburn 4-5 times a month at about 3 in the morning. Quit the coffee, no more heartburn. Love the vids, keep it up
I haven’t had a cup of coffee ☕️ in 12 days and I feel so much better. Better sleep and more energy. I would not have believed it if I didn’t try it. What you are saying is totally true.
coffee is good , it help with weight loss , also prevent Alzheimer , support brain health , protect against liver conditions and it increases longevity
I just dont like being addicted the way I feel addicted to coffee. I would rather have a lower level of sustained focus and energy then having frequent spikes throughout the day. Now to start my coffee free journey. Here I go. Thanks, you have a new sub!
‘Caffeine gives you stress.’ I’ve never heard it put that way before. That’s very helpful. Another way of stating it is ‘Caffeine doesn’t energize you, it stimulates you.’
You know you got a problem when you look at the video in your recommended for about 30-40 seconds, having doubt to whether you wanna know the information or not...
this was great. I followed it and now have been off coffee for 8 days. This has been the first day with no brain fog and lack of energy. 32 years of 2-3 cups a day habit gone. Thanks for the vid, Big Help!
down to 1 cup of REAL coffee...instant only in the morning on a plant based lifestyle. I am starting your beginning exercise routine . I am 70 :: UPDATE: I have been walking every morning now up to 2 miles. I also added dumb bell exercises feeling quite good . Minus the gym has made a great change in me as well as plant based eating. 228 lbs 6'2" my new scale says I am 31% body fat and 43% water.... I am working on that.
@@WazigeLogica yeah I'm really addicted to coffee... I'm a Uni student. So I usually drank a lot of coffee to keep me awake at night to the point where my stomach hurt...I would say that my daily coffee consumption going to be around 6-7 cups..
@@WazigeLogica I had stop drinking it for a whole 2 weeks. My head hurts like crazy...My lower back and chest also hurt... always in the bad mood...and I'm always overslept like 9+ hours a day..I also easily fall asleep whenever I lay down and close my eyes.😂😂😂
I have another reason for quiting. I recently started juicing celery and cucumbers together. Wow what a natural buzz, very invigorating and mentally "up". However, when I would have coffee in the morning or during the day, the coffee would bring me down. So start juicing organic celery and cucumber for the problem you have with being alert and energised. Thanks again.
I drink two coffees a day and do have trouble sleeping. I think I'll go for the challenge as well and see how I feel. I did the same thing with Social media and realized how much better I feel without, so I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be a very wise decision. In any case thanks and keep up the great content!
Thank you for this video. I developed an unconscious habit of drinking a pot of coffee throughout everyday for the last decade at least. I have reduced consumption to one cup when I wake up and it has done wonders for my sleep. I have reclaimed my mornings and can finally wake up with energy and without an alarm. Please keep up the great work.
Am on intermittent fasting ( 20/2 hours) Quitting caffeine & smoking starting now Will start HIIT ( starting with 7 minutes) too as well Wish me luck guys
It took me 2 years to quit coffee in 2014. I felt AMAZING off of coffee but I love it and now I am back on big time--LARGE COLD BREW every morning. I am clenching my teeth at night and waking up with headaches. I am so glad I watched your video--cuz I am getting OFF coffee.. YES - I will miss the social part--I hate ordering TEA when going out for coffee. My friend uses teccino and really likes it. I am gluten free so I will have to check and see if teccino is gluten free. I DO NOT WANT HEADACHES....thanks
Man YOU hit it on the head! I have finally given up caffeine and the difference is significant. I am really sorry I didn't find this information sooner. Many of my problems with ptsd are centered around the 'fight or flight' response so I don't need any help finding that state of mind. And I spend lots of meditation time 'seeking' a mental state that does NOT include running from tigers, old memories and imagined threats. I'm very glad you posted your findings.
I Quit coffee for 1 year and my body aches and joints felt so much better, even my TMJ improved, then I was at a birthday party and everyone had a cup of coffee. I thought 1cup won't hurt me it smells soooo gooood. Then I was hooked again..... Anxiety and jitters back, TMJ and joint pain. I gotta get off this drug 🤬😥
Get rid of it i abused caffeine and fat burners with caffeine and paid the price with premature heart beats early beats that drove me crazy had to be put on meds because it caused me anxiety im just now feeling a bit better stop caffeine of any kind
I came here because I am in a frenzy with my projects and I've been drinking so much coffee that I have chest pain after drinking it. I intend to quit completely, thanks for this awesome video!
I quit coffee completely, and simply compensated it with black tea for a few days, then just herbal tea. Done. Super easy, even though I really miss the taste. I love your well thought through approach. This one is just super simple and worked in my case. Love your work, brother...
Wow, I was so surprised when you mentioned the vasoconstriction/cold extremities. This is a persistent problem for me. I've been told I have "poor circulation" as I'm usually cold and my fingers and toes will actually get numb and whitish when I'm cold. Also, I definitely have the afternoon anxiety symptom as well. I LOVE my coffee, but your video has really made me serious about quitting. Thanks so much!
Rose deAlba I'm glad the video was inspiring for you :) Yeah, it's crazy how caffeine can cause vasoconstriction like that. I never would've known if I didn't read the book. That was actually one of the main reasons why I weaned off of caffeine. Tired of the cold feeling in my fingers and toes.
coffee is good , it help with weight loss , also prevent Alzheimer , support brain health , protect against liver conditions and it increases longevity
@@MinusTheGymHow can I use this method for “Tea” drinking? I also experience cold extremities when drinking caffeine and I always assumed it was “poor circulation”, until I drank “Cacao” Powder as a Tea for energy without cold extremities afterwards. Apparently, Cacao is a excellent “Vasodilator” (Caffeine is a Vasoconstrictor) Does Cacao contain Caffeine?
@linkzable Tea (like green) has about 30% of the caffeine as coffee, and any "energy" you get is more even (no spikes and crashes). I drink 4 tea bags worth of green tea on the work days, spread out over about 7 hours. It's easy to keep hot as it sits next to my computer on a heated coaster. On weekends I don't work and thus don't drink the tea. Never had a headache or a craving for caffeine during these breaks. Btw, I drink green tea for all the reported health benefits, not for the caffeine. I actually don't really like the taste of green tea very much, haha. :)
I have quit caffeine on and off for a couple of years now. I always felt better without it. Everything in my life improves without caffeine, but I still love the effect caffeine gives me. It makes me mentally alert. However, I’m quitting again this Thursday and I plan to go forever without it, I really want to quit for good. I don’t want to be a slave to anything and I want to sleep better. Everyone that quits caffeine says their sleep improves, that is what I’m excited for. Great video and I’ll be buying that book too!
I've been through exactly what you said in the video. Anxiety and cold hands/feet. I'm quitting nicotine and caffeine at the same time. Thank you so much for reassuring me!
coffee is good , it help with weight loss , also prevent Alzheimer , support brain health , protect against liver conditions and it increases longevity
@channel break any bread in and of itself is a fermented food. Avoid bread and take whole wheat rotis/chapatis instead of it. It’s life changing, do give it a try!
On day 6 of quitting all caffeine. Been consuming caffeine in the form of pre workouts and coffee for about 10 years. Got to the point that my body was rejecting caffeine with light headed feelings / drop or heightening of blood sugar / anxiety ect. So far all anxiety has stopped, I can sleep really well at night, struggle in the mornings. Gonna stick it out and keep going feel better without caffeine.
coffee is good , it help with weight loss , also prevent Alzheimer , support brain health , protect against liver conditions and it increases longevity
I switched from coffee to green tea last year. I noticed coffee was making me really anxious and upsetting my stomach. I feel much better with the green tea, though I'd like to not need caffeine at all someday.
thinkblue dgr I’m still mostly green tea. I’ll have a very rare cup of coffee or I’ll switch to black tea if I feel like I need a little more caffeine.
I'm trying your program today. I've been getting headaches every morning until I had a cup of coffee. I even switched to decaf but I still got headaches. I love the taste of coffee but I don't want to have to drink it just to cure a headache. Great video btw!
Thanks for getting back to me bro! Your sharing of your experience helps me very much! I am going to wean off the stuff. I hate the side effects of caffeine addiction. The anxiety, ups and downs, etc. I want to be and feel free.
anxiety, lack of long focus. Yes, I can jump up and down for hours like a rabbit if I want to with coffee, but can't really focus on more intellectual work that needs focus.
I happened to select your video on this subject and I'm very glad I did! It was very honest and felt like it addressed exactly what my concerns were both pro and con. I had an adrenal exhaustion diagnosis many years ago and recovered with holistic intervention, however, I never gave up coffee. I notice I get very stressed (frequent heavy sighing) often after my morning cup of coffee. I don't clear caffeine easily from my system apparently, so I'm seriously going to take your advice. I ordered the book you recommended and I also ordered a small french press. My hubby is addicted to coffee and energy drinks and has trouble sleeping. I'm going to mention this video to him and see if he's interested in joining me. The ritual of coffee drinking in the morning is so established in our marriage (29 years) it's maybe time to start another ritual caffeine-free. If not for both, at least for me. Thank you so much!! If I can remember, I will post a future success/fail comment when the time comes!! P.S. Yay on the no music! Music is often too distracting and can be louder than intended on the viewer's side. This is a "pay attention to details" kind of subject so I applaud the "no music"!!
Good luck! I’m glad you found this video helpful. I’m still off coffee right now, although I did find myself back on it after my 2nd daughter was born in 2020, but I weaned off again with the same method I share in this video and I’ve been off since. So this definitely works. No headaches. Just slight lethargy and crankiness once I go completely caffeine free. It resolves within a month for me. I hope you like the taste of teeccino. If not, explore herbal teas, mushroom teas, kombucha and other fun things. There’s a whole caffeine free world to explore :)
Hi Ryan. Great video. I’ve been experienced the exact same thing as you. Only I took a cold turkey The result was I felt hammered for 2 weeks. But after that : much better sleep. No more up at nights for peeing. And the best. I GOT RID OF MIGRAINE TOTALLY I’ve been caffeine free for 3 months now and I’m not going back. Before I could wake up at 5 with huge migraine that kept me from doing my job only because I missed an evening coffee. So everything you said in this video is true.
Trim-Line Automotive Design Wow. You had it pretty bad, my friend. I've never had a migraine before (knock on wood) but I hear they're awful. I'm glad you're so much better off without coffee (I think everyone would be) and thanks for the awesome comment :)
I'm having these migraines every morning also. I drink one espresso every morning. Is this morning pain because I don't drink one in the afternoon also? I'm new to drinking coffee but if I have to put up with this pain just to get a few hours of happiness I'm out.
I have been a daily coffee drinker since about 5th grade (2007/08) and I am 100% dependent on it. If I miss my morning coffee, I will have awful headaches and irritability by 2 pm. This is a bit scary to detox because of the horrendous withdrawal symptoms I'll experience, but I really want to give it a go, I don't want to be dependent on caffeine anymore. Plus I have this chronic tiredness that I can never shake off. It's hard because I love the taste of coffee, it brings joy to my soul in the morning, and it keeps me regular (if you know what I mean). I may just start substituting my coffee with decaf, or start with drinking green/black teas and wean myself off from there.
I've always felt caffeine to be an irritant. It's good to know that caffeine actually releases stress hormones. That helps me understand what I feel when I take coffee. In my case coffee takes more energy than it gives. Thanks for the perspective.
Except as far as I know, it doesn't. Caffeine binds to the adenosine receptors in your neurons, blocking them. When adenosine binds to those receptors you get tired. Blocked receptor= you're not getting tired... I would love to read the sources for that though... But to my knowledge, no stress hormones released!
jevon homitzky flix1738 It's true that caffeine binds to the adenosine receptors and blocks the adenosine, which is like a circuit breaker for our neuron activity. This means caffeine stimulates excess neuron activity in the brain. The neurons send messages to the pituitary gland to stimulate the adrenal glands, which then produces adrenaline and cortisol. And the worst part is that this chain reaction keeps happening as we become addicted to the caffeine, so we keep taxing our adrenals on a daily cycle just to feel "normal." This is how we end up with adrenal fatigue, where we feel tired and lethargic without caffeine because, without it, our adrenals are exhausted and don't want to do their job. It's a vicious cycle.
@@MinusTheGym Could you link me a source please? I thought you get fatiqued because your body starts producing more receptors as you get addicted. Therefore a small amount of Caffeine no longer blocks enough receptors. From a cause and effect point of view my problem with your description is that all those symptoms could be traced back to you not having a good sleep (which of course can be an effect of Caffeine, especially in the evening) Im not saying you're making this up btw... And of course people will react differently to Caffeine.. But I've not found anything on thr adrenaline release :/
Caffeine has meesed up my sleep so bad. I didn't realise it but when I'm on caffeine it makes it impossible to roll out of be in the morning. As soon as I've given it up I don't even have to actively force myself out of bed anymore.
My personal experience of quitting coffee, I'm now at day 54 coffee less. Before that streak I drank coffee regularly for approximately 20 years. I found it was easier because of the ongoing covid-19 pandemic as I am working from home. Thus i don't get influenced from co-worker to drink coffee as much. Otherwise replacing my coffee drinking habit with Teecino herbal tea (which contains no caffeine) helped a lot. These beverages are delicious and contains no acidity like coffee either. Don't get me wrong I love the taste of coffee, but quitting it made me realize that drinking coffee was making me anxious, stressed and perhaps depressed on top of that. I used to drink from 2 to 5 cups of coffee per day. Many thanks for this specific you tube video combined with the book ''Caffeine Blues: Wake Up to the Hidden Dangers of America's #1 Drug''. cheers!
My coffee addiction started in Germany last year and I haven't stopped drinking it since. Today I was so busy I didn't have any coffee. Mid day I got a horrible headache and never get them so I was confused.... And that's when I realized I was having a caffeine withdrawal system. Now I'm all over RUclips researching people who've quit coffee/Caffeine... Thanks for the tip because this headache hurts like fire.
My name is John and I’m addicted to caffeine. I drink a pot a day and get headaches if I don’t have enough caffeine. I go through a detox every once and a while and try and go cold turkey. Almost had to go to the ER once because I was in so much pain and couldn’t sleep. I do agree with you that living caffeine free is a better way to live. Another benefit to no caffeine or coffee is that you save a lot of money when you don’t have to stop by Tim Hortons on the way to work. I’m currently slowly weaning myself off caffeine and hopefully will never go back to it. My wife lives without it so I know it can be done. I’ll have to read that book that you mentioned and thanks for the video.
Thank you . This is a great approach to quitting coffee. I'm on day 4. I've not quit caffeine yet. I've switched to teas. Drinking up to 4 strong coffees per day, my body felt coarse and it was hard to move in the morning. So far my body responds better to receiving the caffeine from matche tea and mate teas. It feels like a gentler and more focused alertness.
Hot water is a great substitute. My brothers good friend dubbed it "crystal light!" So when at a party order crystal light and folks will take notice. Hot water has it's own unique flavor unlike streight tap. God bless!
Thanks bro for sharing your experience! I am working on quitting by the weaning method. Caffeine is harder for me to give up than alcohol and nicotine!
Yup, it is a natural pesticide. When bugs bother the plant that contains caffeine they get a dose of the caffeine and go crazy so the bugs then will stay away.
I can relate to this! I just quit yesterday to see if my anxiety will go away. I have just come to the realization that I’ve been suffering with anxiety due to my morning cup of coffee. Thanks for the information, really helped my decision
Every time I take coffee without feeling sore throat. You have described very well what I feel. I tried to be without coffee for 30 days and felt great. I have taken over and I have those hear me. Are there other foods that make you feel like this? Thanks so much for sharing this information. I'm grateful
I don’t normally drink a lot of coffee. Perhaps one or 2 cups a day. However, sometimes I skip one or two days. I have unintentionally not had caffeine for four or five days now and I have experienced the most awful headaches. I had no idea my body was so attached to caffeine. Your video has been very useful. Thank you.
I've definitely acknowledged my caffeine addition of 15+ years! I finally decided enough is enough and I greatly appreciate the table you shared of how to ease off of it gently. I switched to half caff for a few days and then decaf for a few days, and it was too rough previously. I use a drip coffee maker and usually drink around 16oz, using 3 tablespoons (though my coffee bag recommends more than 4 tablespoons) of coffee. Since I'm tolerating half caff well now, I'm trying your .5 teaspoon swap per day, so I should be off it in 9-10 days. I'm sleeping a lot! I've had severe headaches, lethargy, brain fog, and difficulty focusing. I appreciate your insightful video. Thanks so much!
Thanks...I just added more water or dandelion tea to my coffee. It helped me to quit. I can whole day without any coffee or black tea. I feel great. Thanks again.
Just tried to quit Coffee today (cold turkey). Big headache 12h later.... Oops, I'm more addicted then I tought.. The more reasen to quit! Thanks for the vid
Now 2 months without coffee. What a change! Feel less stressed out the whole day, sleep a bit better, but feel less tired and more awake! Tried coffee once, but within 10 minutes felt much more anxtious and stressed.
Hey mate i tried to quit coffee but i got headache too and i couldnt...i had to drink it next day and my headache stoped...i really want to quit it so how many days did you have headache
For about a year now I've been losing weight, and diving into various videos on youtube to take inspiration and help from, and now this one leads to another chapter of that...I've already been trying to wean myself down to drink less coffee, but now I think the intention is to eventually get off caffeine entirely. I quit Alcohol sometime last year (but had a bit in moderation with friends for the new year) and cut out a ton of processed foods and the like...Lost around 75lbs, 2 shirt sizes (sometimes three depending on the way the shirt is made, so confusing) and around 10 inches in pant size? All thanks to people like you on here who spend your time giving out advice and experiences. Going to sub and see what else I can find in your videos!
This is a realistic and honest video, I appreciate that! I had to stop drinking coffee cold turkey due to a medical condition. I had terrible headaches for a couple of days and once that passed, I was fine. I experienced all the benefits of not drinking coffee that you're mentioning, however, my focus was also great! Actually, I managed to finish my doctorate thesis at that time! I've def felt the social downside though. As someone who doesn't drink alcohol either, it was really hard being with people sometimes and I would always have to do a lot of explaining :D So once I was healthy again, I started drinking coffee again, just for the pleasure of it. I've tried weaning off several times, but it was never as successful as the first time. I kind of couldn't see the point of not drinking coffee so I would go back to it again. I want to try weaning off again this time, and hopefully never go back to it again. Let's see how it goes.
Did you manage to stop drinking it? I also had to quit coffee after health problems. It was giving me pains in my stomach and making me feel weak and ill. I was dreading cutting it out because I enjoyed the taste but after a few days I was surprised I didn't miss it. I feel much better, calmer, stronger and something I didn't expect was how clear my head feels now. I was constantly in a brain fog on coffee. I drink roasted chicory instead which I like, I just wish cafes did it, I agree the social aspect of drinking neither tea, coffee nor alcohol can be a challenge.
Hi love the video, I ride motorcycles and am definitely aware that my hands tingle if I've had coffee that morning. I'm also a welder and notice my eyes have trouble focusing on the weld pool under the influence of coffee, therefore producing lower quality welds.. As the week goes on with regular consumption I am slowly building a sleep debt, and completely crash in the evenings. On the days where I don't drink coffee, I'm a bit slower in the morning, but the energy picks up with a good hearty mid morning meal and sustains for longer, and I can ease In to sleep better rather than completely crashing from exhaustion.
I am a tea drinker, A cup in the morning and a cup in the evening. If I miss one I am done. Bad headaches that I can’t get rid off. I will try this system you explained.
I’ve been absolutely famished in the afternoons and really struggling hard with binge eating disorder when I was consuming caffeine. I’ve only been off of caffeine for a day but this is the first time I’ve had no appetite or cravings that I can remember. I hope it lasts!
Yes, caffeine will surpress appetite. Not for long unfortunately as you just end up hungrier than before once it wares off. I've experienced the same thing with the binge eating it pretty much got under control once i cut down on coffee. Although I definitely Have been eating more cause I don't have my appetite suppressed by coffee I find it easier to make better eating choices now and not eat impulsively.
All you said are true, that's what I really feel. I'm addicted to coffee, I wanna quit it because I have GERD. It's so hard to quit it, I always try to just drink coffee in the morning and I just got tempted to drink a cup again after I worked out this morning that's why I look for another video on RUclips to help me get rid of coffee and I found your video, thank you.
Caffeine and nicotine are the love of my life, I quit caffeine for 2 days and had terrible headache, I quit smoking and I had sore throat damn I hate withdrawal effects,
Yes, I’m addicted. Crave it. Just didn’t think that all the symptoms were caused by caffeine. Just didn’t think. I’m in the process of tapering off three prescriptions, one at a time, and am having to wrestle with those symptoms. And caffeine is the cause of so many of these ..sometimes blamed on just the prescriptions. Anxious to learn more about drugs and to stop caffeine on your schedule. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this video!i have EXACTLY the same side effects.i tried a week without caffeine and all of the side effects was almost gone!!now im gonna try a full month!!and thank you for showing that book too!
I recently decided I wanted to quit coffee too after learning that it prevents absorption of micronutrients. I also get the cold hands and feet and headaches. It makes sense that it gives us more stress. It’s a viscous cycle. I used to drink coffee 2x a day and I felt more stressed after taking it. I realized I was consuming too much!
Ive been wanting to Quit for over a year now… im definitely starting tomorrow Thank you so much for this video… you should definitely go more in depth about the positives for quitting
Day 10 without coffee- Yesterday I had migraine. I used to drink 3 or 4 cups per day, during at least more than 10 years. I hope I can manage finishing this month without caffeine and probably take one or two cups per month.
Great video and thanks for sharing. I had the same and realized that caffeine depletes vitamin B1 and flushes out electrolytes which caused my headaches but for 9 months now they’ve gone since adjusting my dietary requirements while still drinking the same amount of coffee.
Thanks for the video. I’ve been going back and forth about quitting coffee and want to do it without the headaches. I’m getting the book and ordering the press and coffee today. When you mentioned the anxiety, I now realize that has been my issue for years. My mom would ask why I was so wound up. It would be because I was “coming down” from the coffee high. I’m sitting here now with a bottle of water, waiting to calm down so I can start my day. I’ve had enough of this. My cousin and bf don’t have this issue (like your wife) at all. Thanks again.
I came to the conclusion that I can’t have caffeine anymore I use to drink so much that it started making me feel like crap. Caffeine started giving me morning nausea with these migraines. It started getting bad to were it was hard to get up in the morning. I quit it and it went away but, than when I started drinking again the wave of nausea and headaches came back.
I love Coffee and Tea but as I get older, my body just can’t handle it any more. The headaches are so bad I had to quit cafeín completely 😢 but no more insomnia or anxiety so it’s definitely healthier.
Amazing video! I loved it. I will tell you the symptoms that I suffer from due to caffeine addiction: Poor absorption of food and nutrients, which led to 1- Calcium deficiency 2- Joint pain 3- Hair loss 4- Intestinal constipation 5- Nutritional supplements I do not really benefit from because of the caffeine in my body! 6- Sometimes emotional 7- I feel exhausted quickly at the end of the day or fatigue appears early on the second day 8- I think it affects the thyroid gland! Caffeine is really hell! Especially 9- My money goes a lot to buy coffee!
Greetings! I've known for years that caffeine is a problem for me; I'm extremely sensitive to it and have all the symptoms you had, but seeing that someone else has them and it's not just me has inspired me to kick it. I've had some Teeccino french roast in my pantry for a while and was nervous to try it, but it's honestly super good with a bit of oat milk!
Coyote Fischer nice! I'm glad you were inspired :) And yeah, the Teeccino herbal coffee is surprisingly pretty tasty. It didn't take me long to get used to it.
I went cold turkey. I had a slight headache, lots of brain fog, and was very lethargic for 8 days. Luckily for me I didn't have to work during that time. The day after that I woke up from possibly the most vivid and memorable dream I've ever had and felt like a new man.
i have anxiety and major fatigue because of it, therefore ive been relying on caffeine to give me energy and "help me". ive tried quitting coffee several times but always go back. anyways i just quit coffee again, im on 2nd day. ive been having to sleep more bc of the horrible headaches. however even when i have coffee i feel off, so i need to stick to this to hopefully feel better. God help me 🙏
Cecilia good luck and be strong. Hopefully you find an herbal coffee or tea you like. Lately I've been digging Roastaroma by Celestial Seasonings a lot.
Hello, I searched RUclips how to detox from caffeine and found this video. Great information! I was trying to understand how long would I feel my withdrawal symptoms. It’s been two weeks since switching from regular coffee to decaf coffee. I mixed both initially to wean myself. Currently on decaf alone, my energy is lower. I’ve been drinking herbal coffee for months to prep for this but I will try your method starting tomorrow. I’ve gone from 2 large (24 oz) black coffees to 1 cup decaf (since 3/2020) but I feel like I’m sick hahaha. Weak, headaches, neck stiff, etc. If I drank green tea then I feel great - now I understand what’s happening. This video explains a lot. I’ll look into the book recommendation.
I like the taste of coffee with sugar, that's why I drink it. And the reason I keep drinking it, is because I FEAR the Headache if I don't :((( Glad I came across your video. Thanks.
Great video! There’s definitely pros and cons with quitting coffee. I’ve also had a similar experience as you in terms of side effects and found that just by reducing the amount of coffee to half or quarter a shot in my latte works best. I still sleep well and get the necessary jolt in the morning to get the day started.
@@user-td7xf3gz4l I imagine it's the "An addiction which is being sold as a good thing by the companies who profit from it" bit also the fact that they buy studies that show their stuff is good, tobacco companies did that in the past."
Actually for the French press you wait 3 minutes. Than break the surface tension with a spoon than press down. That’s the proper way. Don’t stir immediately. You’ll also notice a huge difference in the way the press operates. Do it the way I recommended and it will press down effortlessly
I used to have 8 cups a day. Then I managed to quit completely for 3 months. Then one day I drank one single espresso, and almost had a heart attack.....
Colleen Mary I tried too, I’m used to taking 300-450mg of caffeine a day I’m almost on day 4 no alcohol and also slowly downing my caffeine which I’m at 150mg I will stay here a few days and slowly go down from there every few days. Don’t let any drug control you!
What an awesome video 😍 Thank you for your honest and informative take on coffee. I have been addicted for 4 years now, 4 years I have been wanting quit 😭 I knew it was bad all along, but due to chronic fatigue syndrome never felt like I could function without for long. Hope this time I get it right… Side effects: stressed, clenching jaw, pain in my gut, have to got to the toilet A LOT, poor sleep, headache, eyes hurt sometimes, loss of control cause of the addiction, digestion issues, feeling more tired. please god give me the strength to stop this once and for all 😭🙏🏼
You don't need to quit caffeine entirely. I've found that the best solution is to quit, and then come back, but drink caffeine like once a week. This way you don't get addicted, and each time you do drink coffee, it's really a BLAST!
I’m definitely addicted. I didn’t have coffee for like 3 days and got the worst headache. However I do want to lead a more healthy lifestyle and I want to quit coffee. Thanks for the recommendation, I will definitely be trying this method.
I am 17 bro. And I have been drinking tea from when I was 5 and never use to miss tea in the morning. Today I skipped my tea and I have a headache. I don't feel sleepy but the headache is too much.
I quit coffee and caffeine myself so i know how hard it can be. I actually have a couple videos on my channel about how ingot through it all and why I decided to step away from it for good! Great video! Thank you!
Thank you for your truth, I'm aretired nurse and an ex smoker. When I stopped smoking I went on the coffee. I'm stressed, chronic insomnia really need to get off this.
Great video!
Watching exercises is better with music. In this video I even didn't notice something was different.
Why 3 moths? and not forever? Keep on, come one)
Could you give some advice? In what order did you do it? All at once or one after the other? Did you slowly stop or cold turkey? Personally I never drink alcohol (religious thing) and have had a period (4 months) where I cut out added sugar, however that was very difficult.
@@BornaDjavdan Hello,
i did all at once. along side laying off marijuana (for insomnia) after 15 years. :)
Anyway, hope that helps...

I quit coffee for about a year now.
My thoughts:
Less anxiety, which is why i stopped it in the first place, that and i felt like i was too dependent on it also I couldn't add any more stress.
I started yelling and being rude to people after coffee when faced with a new stressful situation.. started getting stuck couldnt get out of my car.. the anger outburst drove away people and ruined my life!
hope with quitting coffee to fix my bad sleep. maybe I feel other benefits as well.

anxiety, lack of long focus.

Have u been sober? Still? Lol

Caffeine=stress
💯%
@@MinusTheGym
Could you link me a source please? I thought you get fatiqued because your body starts producing more receptors as you get addicted. Therefore a small amount of Caffeine no longer blocks enough receptors.
From a cause and effect point of view my problem with your description is that all those symptoms could be traced back to you not having a good sleep (which of course can be an effect of Caffeine, especially in the evening)
Im not saying you're making this up btw... And of course people will react differently to Caffeine..

I’m 62 and in my life I’ve weened myself twice off coffee. It took 6 months both times and I still miss it. I guess it’s for life.
God bless!

Joshua same here! Alcohol was easy for me. Just stopped buying it. Nicotine was a pain. Took me several attempts. But coffee? It was the worst!

Stay away from addiction!
any of it!
This is indeed very true and wise
Did you win?
I also drank 1 Coffee the first Day, had headache for two days, then it faded away. Keep trying, it's worth it!
Tried to quit coffee but had bad anxiety
@@dwayneratemo4758 Me too at first, had bad dreams etc, but went better after 1 week!
As someone who doesn't drink alcohol either, it was really hard being with people sometimes and I would always have to do a lot of explaining :D
So once I was healthy again, I started drinking coffee again, just for the pleasure of it.
You are ABSOLUTELY correct.. I quit cold turkey... this was very beneficial
Cold turkey is a few days of fogginess and works for me. It could take 2 weeks to 2 months for the brain to function "normally" :-)
Your video explains why i very rarely drink coffee...and those rare times i drink only cappucino😁
Green Tea or simply water are way better😉
I’ve been absolutely famished in the afternoons and really struggling hard with binge eating disorder when I was consuming caffeine. I’ve only been off of caffeine for a day but this is the first time I’ve had no appetite or cravings that I can remember. I hope it lasts!
Caffeine actually suppresses appetite. When I quite I ate everything in sight
Coffee makes me crave pastries
Quitting coffee is one of the best things people can do. Most people drink just too much.
Diet coke with me......i need to stop
Agreed
what about just one cup in the morning
Thank you so much for this video!i have EXACTLY the same side effects.i tried a week without caffeine and all of the side effects was almost gone!!now im gonna try a full month!!and thank you for showing that book too!
I recently decided I wanted to quit coffee too after learning that it prevents absorption of micronutrients. I also get the cold hands and feet and headaches. It makes sense that it gives us more stress. It’s a viscous cycle. I used to drink coffee 2x a day and I felt more stressed after taking it. I realized I was consuming too much!
Ive been wanting to
Quit for over a year now… im definitely starting tomorrow
Thank you so much for this video… you should definitely go more in depth about the positives for quitting
Day 10 without coffee- Yesterday I had migraine. I used to drink 3 or 4 cups per day, during at least more than 10 years. I hope I can manage finishing this month without caffeine and probably take one or two cups per month.
how it going now
Great video and thanks for sharing.
And the reason I keep drinking it, is because I FEAR the Headache if I don't :(((
Glad I came across your video.
Thanks.
Check out the Video I've made recently. I think I've found the answer to QUIT COFFEE EASILY! Here: ruclips.net/video/SdFb8yUe2us/видео.html
Well caffeine is the reason of your headache.
Fireman, police officer, doctor, teacher... Now he's helping us quit coffee. There nothing this man won't do for our society
Great video! There’s definitely pros and cons with quitting coffee. I’ve also had a similar experience as you in terms of side effects and found that just by reducing the amount of coffee to half or quarter a shot in my latte works best. I still sleep well and get the necessary jolt in the morning to get the day started.
I'm quitting coffee today. Cold turkey. Meaning I will be taking ibuprofen for 2 days for my headache. Thanks for all the information. ❤
Coffee is the new smoking
Tim H 😂
@ Tim H how??
@@user-td7xf3gz4l I imagine it's the "An addiction which is being sold as a good thing by the companies who profit from it" bit also the fact that they buy studies that show their stuff is good, tobacco companies did that in the past."
HubiKoshi You’re a moron, coffee has been around since the 15th century
@@brandondiaz9576 I think he means it from a cultural standpoint.
Then one day I drank one single espresso, and almost had a heart attack.....
i had 1 cup 1tsp a day
you know why i am here now lol 😂
Yeah I almost passed out after going back to my previous normal
i quit the coffe about 3 years ago, this video is amazing.
I've tried to quit coffee cold turkey. Do not recommend! Haha. I've tried to quit several times. Will be trying again soon thanks to these tips!
Colleen Mary I tried too, I’m used to taking 300-450mg of caffeine a day I’m almost on day 4 no alcohol and also slowly downing my caffeine which I’m at 150mg I will stay here a few days and slowly go down from there every few days. Don’t let any drug control you!
It's painful...the massive headaches are scary
What an awesome video 😍 Thank you for your honest and informative take on coffee. I have been addicted for 4 years now, 4 years I have been wanting quit 😭 I knew it was bad all along, but due to chronic fatigue syndrome never felt like I could function without for long. Hope this time I get it right…
Side effects: stressed, clenching jaw, pain in my gut, have to got to the toilet A LOT, poor sleep, headache, eyes hurt sometimes, loss of control cause of the addiction, digestion issues, feeling more tired. please god give me the strength to stop this once and for all 😭🙏🏼
You don't need to quit caffeine entirely. I've found that the best solution is to quit, and then come back, but drink caffeine like once a week. This way you don't get addicted, and each time you do drink coffee, it's really a BLAST!
Great tip!
I am planning to do that. But coffee is very irritating for my stomach, I prefer mate
I’m definitely addicted. I didn’t have coffee for like 3 days and got the worst headache. However I do want to lead a more healthy lifestyle and I want to quit coffee. Thanks for the recommendation, I will definitely be trying this method.
Literally watched this while drinking a coffee... Ugh.. 😩 I want to stop it's a bad habit and being only 21 I want to be healthy.
you can do it!
I am 17 bro. And I have been drinking tea from when I was 5 and never use to miss tea in the morning. Today I skipped my tea and I have a headache. I don't feel sleepy but the headache is too much.
Me, too.
I quit coffee and caffeine myself so i know how hard it can be. I actually have a couple videos on my channel about how ingot through it all and why I decided to step away from it for good! Great video! Thank you!
I wish more people like you would do caffeine free living videos! You look gorgeous, focused and naturally energetic! Congrats...
Thank you for your truth, I'm aretired nurse and an ex smoker. When I stopped smoking I went on the coffee. I'm stressed, chronic insomnia really need to get off this.
