Mine was stuck and it was the sheer pin on the magneto. I needed an entirely new magneto. IT doesn't take an individual sheer pin.

Just found. 2 of these in the garbage one leaks a little gas outta the tank but they both run like hell Evan came with plenty of string...the spark plugs were original from 1999 I couldn't believe it I'm a addict when it comes to big garbage day garbage picking found about 30 in my 36 years in this planet none of them ever came close to running

Even easier if you remove the plug to release the compression while you're turning it. Also poor a little oil inside the spark plug hole to coat the cylinder wall.

Lifesaver!!! Thks dude it worked. Have a honda 4 stroke jammed on me from no where. Oiled it up but had to slowly work it with the wrench and it moved but let a bit of hissing noise to release not sure. All good working now though.

I have the same weed whacker and my problem isn't the turbine or magneto it's the black wind that holds the rope, the piece right below the clutch, it doesn't want to pull and retract normally
My Poulan pro is the same way. I replace the pull rope assembly and the recoil spring but when I put it back on the clutch assembly the rope won’t pull.

What do you do if you pull the rope and it gets stuck outside the weed eater and it won’t go inside
your recoil spring is not working you can either clean it or replace it
Can use wd40 as a lubricant?
I borrowed the neighbors weed whacker and the string got while trying to start it

Shouldn't happen to a fairly new weed eater unless it's been run without oil. See if your piston is stuck. Take the spark plug out and look down the hole to see how it looks
@Freddy H Was it run without oil ? When you ask if the piston is out ? What exactly do you mean by out? Is the cord stuck?

On mine when I freed it up tons of white smoke came out on startup.

I have a problem on mine where the pull cord is EXTREMELY stiff and difficult to pull. It gets slightly easier with each pull and when it does manage to start TONS of white smoke comes out. What could be the problem?
you might wanna change to fresh fuel and follow the oil to fuel ratio mix.. could also be water in gas

Steve's small engine saloon, name of the channel, shows a situation like that, not sure that quite applicable to your very problem, but doesn't hurt to check it out.
