Really strong vid Ben… I have a 134000 mile DB9 which wears its mileage without a care!! It’s the 2006 version which doesn’t get the ‘tick’ due to Cosworth no longer making the 5.9 in that year. I’m really hoping your channel grows for you. Been there since about 500 subscribers.

Hey great video as usual. I’m also a big Aston Martin fan but learning allot more through your videos. In this video the top 3 for me would be, in order of preference
1. V12 Vantage
2. DB11
3. Vanguish 2 Volante

Don't forget the DB7 😄. My pick would be a v12 vantage or a vanquish 1. Aston really don't make ugly cars do they... (maybe besides the fleet carbon emissions regulating IQ.... I mean cygnet 😅)

I have 60,000 dollars and the LAST place I would spend it is on an Aston Martin. One way or another, the entire Stelantis group is going under for the last time.

Haha......I do a weekly Autotrader search so I know how to spend my Lottery win lol. It'd be a Vanquish II for me as well, coupe only though, I'm not a fan of convertibles. Otherwise, it'd be a DB9 GT. Of course, if the Lottery win is a Euromillions rollover, it'd be (in age order) a late 80's V8 Vantage, a 90's Vantage V550, a DB7 i6, an early DB9, Vanquish II, DBS "59 Edition, DB12 and the forthcoming Vanquish III......all in various shades of green! In the meantime, I'm more than happy with my two Mustangs (a 2005 V8 and a 2006 V6) 🙂

If someone gave me a £60k cheque and told me to buy an Aston it would be a 1st Gen Vanquish 1 S. It's got that British Muscle look that the older V8s have (The car you had was possibly a dream car for me, so I am still very envious that you got to drive that one).

As soon as I saw the title the Rapide was hands down the first one that came to my mind. That’s my pick because of the extra doors and just looks so elegant and classy rolling up to anything with the family 😊

DB9 for me. Get a low mileage one and bank the change from the £60k to pay for its upkeep for the remainder of its cossetted life.
So if you have 60k invest it first and not buy a car.

I bought a V8 Vantage roadster for £40k just a year ago.
Much as I love it, not my greatest piece of foresight in pricing terms. But for those going into the AM market this summer, I’m convinced you’re hitting a once in a decade opportunity- get it done!!

Hi mate, great video. I’m based in Essex and I have a 2011 Rapide that I picked up a few months ago. Such a lot of car for the money the only problem is trying not to use it too much as it’s so practical . It’s just come back from having the Primary cat evolution and remap from Bamford Rose. Still got a small list of jobs I want to do on it but the car is in rude health and Im happy for you to come and review it for the channel. I also know James and met him a couple of times, even drove in one or two of his reviews 😎

Took a look in the US: 2023/24 $400k, 2020 $100k but looks like a 2010
I wouldn't go for any older Aston Martin - those interiors are horrendous and the running costs will keep you awake at night

Nice as always! I personally think, that if You look at UK market of used cars, You see that they are cheaper that other EU market. I think that is because they are right hand drive.

Exactly this. I'm not one to complain as I just bought a 2020 DB11 a few months back, but I kept looking at the UK car market and seeing I could get a RHD DBS for about the same price was a bit of a bummer.
Man, that's tough, so many great picks. The Vantage might be my favourite, and as the coolest of all Vanatges, the manual V12 would be my pick, though the old Virage is amazing as well!
If it really were my money though, I'd buy a decent V8 Vantage for much less, and invest the rest to keep my Aston running for a very long time, or even to buy a nicer one down the road.

I saw that the Aston Martin Cygnet is the only one that is bucking the trend as the price is a shade under 50 K and three months ago similar ones were 32k not a sports car but an alternative that would be brilliant.
Try a Toyota Iq the basis of the cygnet

You mention at about the beautiful Gen 2 Vanquish lights at 7:00 but did you know that the Vanquish 2 lights are designed around the Aston logo, so if you bring both lights from either side of the rear of the car together, it forms the Aston Martin logo inside the lights. Makes you appreciate it even more now! 👍
Can you try and get a Kia Stinger on the channel Ben? Would love to see how practical it is as a dad car to go alongside our Rapide on our driveway.

It would be a Rapide for me. Four seats to take the family on some fun trips. Also I don't think I've ever seen one on the road so maybe they are a bit rarer than other models?

Would not pay that kind of money…wouldn’t trust any if them past 120mph…@200mph would cost you $5-$8k in repairs

Are there any 5 seater Rapides?
Not that I know of. There is a very large transmission tunnel at the back, which cannot be sat on, but is used as an armrest. You can spec a Panamera as a 5 seater, and is probably a better car, based on my ownership of a Turbo S hybrid and experiencing a DB12, which is meant to be a sportier Aston.

I daily drove one for two years 12k miles and reliability wise it was as good as any other car… the maintenance bills were bigger but obviously so! It’s a V12!
