Classic. As far as I'm concerned, this is where the story ends. We've fought the worst of the Pagans, the Hammers, and the Keepers, and adopted a protege in the same way the Keepers once adopted us. Lovely symmetry. I bet that girl grows up to be as cool and interesting a character as Garret, and totally not a whiny teenage idiot named Erin.
They should've saved their soap opera drama for another franchise; the reboot failed to realize just how many years I have over the girl. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing relevant between us is two words: Daddy Complex.
deadly shadows is one of my fave games remember playing it on original xbox when my pc was so bad i could not run it, have played it so many times since then along with first two
I tried to play the new game and gave up after the fifth time it crashed itself. From what I've seen on RUclips, however, it practically goes out of its way to distance itself from the originals. No Hammerites, no Pagans, no Keepers. Nobody remembers or talks about the previous events, even when they should. Even if I wanted to, I can't think of a way that it could possibly share a canon with the originals.
It's funny how two of Stephen Russell's stealth protagonists he voiced as had something happened to their left hand. Garrett, with the symbol of the Keeper branded onto his left hand. And Corvo, with the Outsider's Mark.
on this day 10 years ago you uploaded this video, my Dear Friend MkMaster, all you need now is to finish up that Wind Waker playthrough, marvellous!!!!!!
So if Garrett is able to presumably still walk around invisible the way the Keepers did, and he's called The One True Keeper, and he has the mark on his hand...did he essentially absorb all glyph magic? Because if so that means he's got god-like powers now.
apparently he never learned how to use glyphs properly, as he never used them for fighting despite being in danger many times. he may have glyphs power locked inside of him, but using it actively is a different matter.
Thief series is somthing speical to me so much emotion, (not counting the 2014 thief) heres hoping a real sequel will be released some day with the magnitudeof the orignals
No! This is a trilogy with a very complete story from Thief 1 Cutscene 1 "That's not for you - Please, sir! I'm hungry - You have a talent, lad. To see a Keeper is not an easy thing, espessialy one who dos not wish to be seen" passed through adolescent nihilism but eventually matured and wiser and realized himself as True Keeper in Thief 3 "That's not for you - Please, sir! I'm hungry - You have a talent. To see a Keeper is not an easy thing, espessialy one who dos not wish to be seen". This is one of the few complete stories, the sequel will ruin it. Trilogy needs a remaster, not a sequel! sorry for google translate
@@TafferDP i agree with you as a real thief game will not be done again i think in our time, i should of stated that in my original comment i hope they never do them as i think they will ruin them and i would rather just replay the old ones forever due to there amazingness
i hope we get a game where that little girl returns and gets to meet garrett again or even erin which disappears at the end of thief 4. if anyone thinks she is dead i remind you of the ending of thief 4 garrett throws the claw to erin and after he wakes up again the claw is sticking to a pole and next to him on the ground are wet footprints so i believe erin is alive and went to do her own thing.
They should hang her. She literally butchered her own brethren for her personal ends and was the downfall of the Keeper society. No glyphs, no Keepers, and the whole city got to learn about them. City Watch, Hammerites and Pagans will be after them forever.
Not really. I gave up on the Cradle as well, when I had no idea how to find the info on the hag. The game was alright, but nowhere near the same league as the first 2.
@@element1111 I also didn't know where to find about the hag. But then I remembered in the loading screens, the Children Rhymes refering to the hag, With logic I went to the nursery tower in the Cradle and found the info about the hag, it was really satisfying when I found it!
Shalebridge cradle was the best level in the game by my opinion. Unusual, mysterious and very atmospheric. Still remember how you were walking around the building, went back to see the grates were closed for unknown reason. And how you had to put yourself in a cage to trigger the memories of the place - uff, still gives me the creeps

My headcanon is that the Garrett in Thief 4 is somehow that Thug from Stonemarket who pretended to be Garrett.
RaxuRangerking So that's the famous Garrett huh?
Erin got too careless
The two are kinda hundreds of years apart...the events of T4 and Deadly shadows i mean
A perfect closure to an awesome trilogy. Deadly Shadows is so underrated.

Perfect ending for the classic trilogy and Stephen Russell's (he voices Garret in these) swan song. The reboot can't compare...

The new game really should've followed this girls tutelage under Garret

I’ll never forget this game. It’s one of them games that stay with you.
The whole trilogy
This game is sublime
It leave in me the forever tendency to play it
To see a Keeper is not an easy thing,
especially one who does not wish to be seen.

Empiez como termina, es genial :3
cant imagine what happened to GAMALL after this!

Her lifespan was artificially extended many times over by Glyph magic, so she probably died of natural causes pretty quickly.
Epic game! I became architect because of if!
By the way, does anyone know where to find full drawing from 1:45?
Thank you!
I became filmmaker because of it :)
too bad this game was missing the mission briefing cutscenes, among other things.
hmm i like this game but the ending feels underwhelming and kinda wish there was a final boss type fight. meh, the rest of it was fun to play tho

I stopped playing this when I was on the shade bridge cradle it was boring
