I can’t imagine how racist the modelling world was when Niomi she was there. I remember it being a bad time for ethnics. She probably learnt to hold in so well so can survive the industry that she can’t even talk about it anymore 😔

In fact, I just purchased a few pieces from the FLAWLESS hair care line.
Yeah I grew up in that era. In living color, sister sister, Cosby, fresh prince, Martin, a different world, living single, family matters and a whole host of movies that I will still watch was my childhood - highschool memories. It seemed so gradual I didn't even really notice that it appeared the number of TV shows and films around African American pop culture was in decline coincided when I was a young adult and no longer watched tv much. Now that I look back at it, where I lived at least, when BET was created it wasn't part of the basic cable package and if you wanted to have access to it you had to upgrade your cable package. So the generation after mine had less exposure and their perception was mostly shaped by news if they didn't live in a diverse neighborhood. And the perception isn't reality that the news provide.
Lady Naomi, thank you for embracing natural sincere love to lady Gabi; only we British sister show pure love to another sister, without feeling threatened! Ms. J. Pinkett could learn a thing or two from you about sisterly love!
