As a retired US Army Veteran in my helmet, a picture of my family in a zip-lock bag, a cross necklace around my neck, Leathermen multi-tool ,combat folder. Love the items in your hat. Cowboy hats are personal for a working man or woman.
In a more humid warmer state, I sweat too much to keep anything in my hat LOL. But I do like to wear my grandfather’s belt buckle, a pouch for my saddle I made out of one of his boots, and I made a hat band with my heart horse’s tail hair. He was put down this past summer after colic. So, similar sentiment just not able to wear it in my hat!
I have similar sweat issues lol. I use a ziplock bag for "items" in my hat. 🤷. I used to keep pictures in my wallet but after taking a couple unexpected swims I decided to use the Ziplock in my hat. 😂
Utah has a lot of custom hat companies. Burns hats has 2 locations, Chaz hats, war bonnet hats and I know there is one more that's slipping my mind right now.....
I used to keep a $50 bill in my hat. Had to spend it. That was my first Stetson, it was 5X. I found it on sale when I was in high school in the early 80s. I still have it and it's worn thin and has holes.
In all my hats a few dollars, a picture of my family and a small taped up blade. I usually have a pocket knife and / or a fixed blade on me anyways, but it never hurts to have an extra. Oh and for a hat band on my "working hats" I use Paracord. Worst case it could always come in handy 🤷. Cheers beers and whiskey 🤠🥃 Merry Christmas!!!
Dude, that thick red line across your forehead is not normal, either it's an allergy of some kind or your hat is too tight. Not good. If you're looking for custom hatters in Utah, Tatton Baird in Springfield is worth a look.
@@StonefieldranchI was going to say, I live in and around the mountains in Alberta Canada. If your hat isn't that tight, you will not have it long!! Heck I've started wearing "work hats" with a chin strap or whatever the rope is called. I am not fond of the look but after a certain age you get tired of chasing your hat. I keep the rope to the back of my head somewhat loose until the wind kicks up. 🤷
@@va6gkthaskey311It’s windy here too. I lost a using hat a couple years ago gathering a place called sheep creek. The hat was garbage so in the end and my buddies tell me it was for the best but I always wear them a little tighter now. 😂

"I can't keep a hundred" ...."affordable hats...$400" haha nice.
In the world of felt cowboy hats that’s affordable. Pure beaver hats are $1,200 -$2,000.
vote for Draft Horse
I do like a good half draft in the mountains!
😍😍
