Before the border clashes there was no anti-China mentality in our media sphere but China attacking our borders while the nation suffered from Covid originating out of China didn't went down very well with the people and the leadership as well. Hoping the Chinese leadership will realize that they alone cannot undo the west's global order and making a friend in India would be much wiser than making an enemy. The Western nations don't try to capture each other's territory which enables them to act as a single block against any other rising power. They took down Russia before and they are going at China now. Very good video. I am a Chinese American fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. I am very amazed at the amount of knowledge you have on China and its history. Peking is the Cantonese romanization, and Beijing is the Mandarin romanization, and yes, it means Northern Capital. Nanjing is Mandarin romanization, and Nanking is Cantonese romanization and yes, it’s another ancient capital of China meaning Southern Capital. Tokyo is called Dongjing in Mandarin meaning Eastern Capital. Xi’an, formerly known as Chang’an, another Chinese ancient capital, the prototype based on which Nara and Kyoto were built, is the Western Capital. So now you know except the Eastern Capital in Japan, Three other capitals are in China. 😂😂 As for that food that looks like a rat or bird, it’s called Ji Chi (chicken wings) Bao (covering) Fan (rice) 雞翅包飯 in Mandarin, meaning 「rice-stuffed chicken wings」. Enjoying your video from Los Angeles, USA. Have fun. I was born in Guangzhou, China, the capital city of Guangdong province. Of the eight major regional cuisines in China, Cantonese cuisine is the most famous and most seen worldwide. Cantonese originated from Guangzhou, China, aka Canton, the French pronunciation of Guangdong province. I hope you can travel to Guangzhou and enjoy its wonderful cuisine. Great videos.

Indian and China always shared the civilizational influence from the last century. As an Indian for me If food is not the issue I won't prefer to go west but China will be my new home. My feelings are connected to them unknowingly. The people look like us, they want to help others and have kind attitude.
I suggest you use a translation app, as most Chinese people do not speak English. Most tourist attractions in China have English signs, but if you want to communicate with locals, it is easier to use translation apps.
The Sino-Indian border dispute is also a contradiction created by the West. The two countries should handle all border disputes peacefully, stay away from wars, live in harmony and prosper together.
Actually if India was one party nation like china then it would have developed so much like china and no issue of opposition being delaying any sort of development or we wouldnt have mostly lost part of our nation to china and pak if the ruler was near to a dictator. But the ruling people would make their own decision and no one can speak against him is a bitter truth about this system.
Currently India politicians should put aside the border dispute and build up better relationship with China first. To have a new Asia Era, the conflict between China and India should be avoided for benefit of 2 countries.

The dilapidated houses and courtyard houses in Beijing are considered slums in the eyes of foreigners. In fact, the lowest price starts from tens of millions of RMB. In China, people with low and middle income live in high-rise buildings. They have no land in the city. There is no way to build houses. The low houses under the high-rise buildings were built by people with land. They are rich and can collect rent. They have already achieved wealth and freedom.
@user-sg4ty2sq8j I get it. Most important regions or prime locations are costlier irrespective of how they look comparatively. It's very very similar in India. Very similar values. These values differ a lot infact are diametrically opposite in the west.
@user-sg4ty2sq8j I see. Good to maintain the old colonies. But it looks like beijing is pretty expensive city. What you said is something unthinkable here in India for the government. When the old areas become too old to live people themselves make an association and sell the area to some builder at a pretty hefty price.

I am from Shaanxi, China. I have been to Beijing two or three times. The houses in Beijing Hutongs are actually more expensive than modern high-rise houses. It is about 20 million yuan. I can buy six houses of 150 square meters in Shaanxi because of the history and culture. reasons and the history of preserving them. For these reasons, the nearby houses in Beijing are also carefully built and short. The hutongs in the center of Beijing are very valuable because they have a long history and have been preserved because they have been passed down from generation to generation as residents. Most of the people living there are elderly people, although they are relatively dilapidated, they are very valuable. If the houses there are demolished, The government will give them houses and a huge amount of property, but some people as families do not want to leave there, so they did not force the demolition,Respecting the will, the government did not demolish the alleys, so some of the older alleys in the city center have been preserved because they are their homes and some of them do not want to leave

Hutong is not really a specific area, but a very narrow road in the middle of a courtyard or bungalow. Such roads existed in ancient China, and to this day, many Chinese cities retain such residential areas. It is not just Beijing.
India is filled with Hutongs, very similar in nature. The land acquisition process for modernization is extremely slow in India due to the legal process, so we can still see similar settlements, they are slowly bought by property developers
@@blackmamba9950 China's hutongs have developed a unique community culture over their long history, and the cultural customs and atmosphere vary from region to region. This is why China is still systematically preserving some of them, especially the famous hutongs with a long history, as a form of cultural preservation in the midst of its rapid development. It is hoped that India will do the same in the future.

Because land is the costliest thing in cities.
never heard a funnier or more contrived explanation of a slum
Frankly its exactly the same in India although the number of high rise apartments and tall commercial buildings are way too less compared with china.

Beautiful country who have successfully preserved it's cultural values ❤
