You are so articulate and impressive to watch. I just started watching you a short while ago because of your planner pages, I find this baby info interesting. All of the gifts from viewers are lovely but I see how they may get overwhelming because you have so many generous viewers that want to share in the excitement of your new family member. Really enjoyed the Fall apple day out post.
Hey Jen, I don't know which bassinet you've chosen, but (if I may give you a heads up, I know the constant advice can get to be a lot!), I had an emergency c-section on September 15th and our bassinet has been a huge lifesaver. We bought the Halo Bassinest for our girl and it has been amazing for us. It can be raised up high or low, can be brought to the side of the bed (while keeping baby in her safe space), has mesh sides for breathability, and the side rail can be squished down for easy access. I would have loved it if I had had a "normal" delivery as well, but having it during the recovery has made life so much easier (since I don't have to bend or even get out of bed on bad nights).
+C Carley Rowland ...I second the halo bassinet. When I had my second daughter via C section it was soooooo much better than the arms reach bassinet I used with my first daughter. That bassinet is amazing whether you have a c section or vaginal birth.
Jen, I love how you speak your mind, and voice your opinions w/o wavering. it shows you've done a lot of mindful thinking on issues related to your family, pregnancy and little one. Also, I sure hope the legs cramps go away quickly. I know from experience how painful they are. Probably the worst part of pregnancy thus far.
Do you plan on using the same products that you are using while you're pregnant for after the baby is born? I'm speaking mainly of the more healthy organic products that you've switched over from during your pregnancy. I have another question as well. It's a bit early, but I would love to see videos on the different baby foods that you decide to make for when she's older and able to eat solids/baby foods. I plan to do the same when I have a baby and i think it would be great to see some videos/ideas. Thank you!!!
Yeah I didn't feel comfortable with co-sleeping either...until my firstborn arrived haha!! Sleep won that battle! Just don't hate yourself if you can't stay awake any longer and end up bringing baby in to bed. Swaddling and Pacifiers do really help to get them to sleep on their own.
I just love your weekly updates. They always make my mid week so much brighter! I'm loving all the cards, and I don't think I've seen any duplicates like you said. Cards are my favorite to receive as gifts too :)
How exciting! She will totally love Disney! I had always said I wouldn't take my kids as infants. But decided too because my husband and I love Disney we brought baby too. It's amazing to see what rides and experiences they gravitate towards at different ages. Small world was incredible for our baby because there is so much to look at.
You are almost here Jen! You haven't gained a pound in your face {which is such a blessing}. PS- apple cider donuts are addictive pregnant or not. Thanks for sharing.
Jen and Baby Girl... plus Winnie in the background. You vids are never too long. You all are never too long.. Blessings to the four of you! But please post more of Don's cooking!!!
This is gonna sound crazy, but put a bar of soap under your fitted sheet toward the bottom of the bed. It prevents the leg cramps. It sounds bizarre, but it really works. The only time I've had a leg cramp since trying this, I woke up and found the bar pushed off the bed! I hope this helps!
I just recommended this same thing! Someone had suggested it to my husband for his leg cramp problems and it does really work! So weird but so helpful!
We have chosen to homeschool for a lot of reasons and we absolutely love it! My husband is able to see our kids more and it allows us freedom to travel. It's definitely not for everyone, but just wanted to reach out as a mom who loves it! Also, we love to go to Disney and the youngest age we've taken is 10 months. You're exactly right - it totally depends on the situation! But you'll know when the time is right :) There's nothing like seeing your children experience it!
My cousin drink pure apple cider vinegar every time he eats, about 1 teaspoon for each meal. He even has a small bottle that he carries with him any time he goes any where in chase he eats at his sister's house or wherever. I drink apple cider vinegar every day, but do miss a day or two here and there. I had gallbladder surgery last year; I have real bad GERD and also acid reflux. GERD runs in my family. Magnesium helps muscle spasms and charlie horses. Have you noticed your hair thinning or your nails getting brittle and chipping worse since being pregnant? Do you take a prenatal vitamin?
Please don't worry- there will be days when you feel her more than others- totally normal. In the new few weeks and months they will becoming stronger and stronger! I'm at 28 week mark and had same concerns a few weeks back! You're all good😀
Even though you have said you won't be sharing baby girl's name, have you and Don gotten any closer to picking a name? Maybe a list of 3-5 you like best? Thanks!
Really hoping the furniture makes it before the holidays; I'm excited to see how you tackle baby 'gear' organization! I'm so happy you and Don had such a lovely time on your babymoon--you look so well! PS ACV scored another heath and wellness point!
the 25th week is when my sister had her preemie twins, the boy weighed 1 pound 9 oz and did not make it ,the girl weighed 1 pound 15 oz ...she was in the NICU for 100 days..... now she is a healthy 12 year old! .... my only child turns 30 in October
Jen, you just have the sweetest spirit. It is so beautiful to see how excited you are and how you light up like a christmas tree when you talk about your little girl. I know this is very hard, but please do not worry. You are doing everything in your control, and you have to leave the rest to god. I will be praying for you and your family as you progress. Thank you so much for sharing your journey, I look forward to the updates:)
Jen, I look so forward to your videos. All of them. Although I had my babies a long, LONG time ago....I still enjoy hearing about all the pregnancy updates. It reminds me of my pregnancy days. Thanks for sharing with us. Much love from Georgia!!
If you think you have worries now, just wait until they put baby girl in your arms. 😊 As a mother of two, I can honestly say the worries will never decrease. Make the most of every moment and find the positive because there will always be plenty to worry about. It's pointless to say "don't worry" because as a mom that's not possible. Just know everything you're experiencing is "normal".
Bassinet near the bed is perfect. I did it with all three of my kids until they outgrew the capacity of the bassinet. I've heard some others make the switch sooner because hearing all of baby's noises kept mama awake and vice versa. Something to keep in mind :)
Hi - we used that Dutille glider company - we still have & use the rocker, our kids are now grown! Ours wasn't so fancy, but still comfy to use today! Good choice!
Jen, your concerns are normal. I worried about my baby kicking too. But, rest assured in the next coming weeks you'll think you have a soccer player in there. Loved the apple orchard video !
Omg! Congratulations!!! I've been subscribed for years however haven't been to your channel on awhile, as I gave birth to a little one of my own last October. I've always thought you'd make an amazing mother. Parenthood is the most fulfilling and joyful experience you will ever have. Blessings to you, Don and your growing family! ❤️
Yay for Montessori! I taught Montessori for 7 years, but I just kept getting sick from all the preschoolers, so I had to quit :( Definitely praise Montessori education!
i get sudden cramps in my calves, arch of my foot, and toes sometimes and i've found if you put pressure on them it makes it go away. so if its in my calve i put all my weight on that leg. if its in my foot or toes i just bend it down or pull it up towards me to make it stop. it can be frustrating. i hope the cramps don't keep happening to you.
I got the biggest kick out of you confessing and laughing about eating the muffins and donuts ! Your laugh is so contagious and we ( the family ) love hearing it. You look so happy and bubbly and beautiful ! Thanks for sharing Jen.
I really do like the Montessori method, even just for setting up the home to be conducive for Montessori teaching. Lots of great videos on RUclips about that.
Ahh I'm loving your pregnancy updates, I love seeing them appear in my feed. So I'm 15 weeks ahead of you with my second and last week we had our baby boy (yellow bump turned blue) at 39 weeks. I'm so pleased to be on the road to recovery and off the pregnancy train but will continue to watch your vids with interest. Gosh it goes so quickly - I'm so glad your enjoying it all, it makes a big difference! Good luck and savour every moment. xx
It is so much fun going with close family who can watch over your baby while you enjoy the big attractions. It's been a while since I've gone to Disney with my babies or toddlers, you can ask a cast member if they do parent swap passes. They give you a swap pass for the person watching over the baby while you go in first and they will bypass the lines like a fast pass after you have returned. It was a time saver for us.
My parents took my twin and I to Disneyland when we were 7 and I'm grateful that I was older because I remember it. I have a crappy memory and I remember very little from when I was younger, especially 6 and under, so I'm grateful that I actually remember the trip! (I've only been twice.)
Hi Jen! Quick question - are you planning to keep the cards you receive from your viewers to show baby girl when she is older? I ask because I was recently looking through my baby book and my mom kept a lot of the cards she got and I absolutely loved reading them!
Thank you for answering the Disney question! Really glad you still plan to go, it'll be magical taking your little one. These videos are so wonderful, look fwd to them every week xx
maybe I missed it, but how about names? or do you want it to be a surprise? I am just generally interested how parents start with finding the right name.
Hi Jen! I was wondering are you and Don planning on having a baby shower??? If so, when? Thanks for posting, I love watching these. I am currently 36 weeks and expecting a boy :)
Okay this is going to sound crazy but for the leg cramps...try putting a couple of small soaps (like the ones from the hotel bathroom) between your mattress and your fitted bottom sheet down by your feet. Someone recommended this to my husband because he has leg cramp issues when he's sleeping and it works. I have no idea why but it does. We thought it sounded weird but it has really helped him.
The baby crib you ordered is adorable, I love the white. I dont know if you ordered the white but it is so versatile and would work well with any color. Are you going to put the glider chair in your bedroom for the first months after baby arrives? Looks very comfy for nursing during the night. Baby bump is growing and you look great!
+jannette wood We ordered all of the furniture in a deep brown color, actually, because it goes best with our hardwood floors, but I agree white is great for a nursery!
I love watching your pregnancy videos each week when you post them. I was wondering when you baby girl is born our your going to fill out a baby book with all her special memories or our you going to scrapbook some of her special memories?
I ate a small snack of candied papaya to quell my heartburn and believe it worked because when I ran out I was confident that the heartburn was gone but it returned by weeks and and only cleared up when I got back into the habit of eating the papaya. Something in the enzymes helps as I recall. If you try this I hope you'll share your experience!
Dear Jen i also recommend you a co-sleeper bassinet. For me being a ultra anxious person, the bassinet and the Snouza clip are my salvation. I have my baby right beside me. I dont have to get up at night to check his breathing , i just take a quick look and i can confort him with one arm that he likes to grab falling asleep and he is in his own space, safe and sound :) I had to remove the bedside table but i got a little cart where i put baby and mom essentials and i go all around the house with it and i love it!!
Congrats on the pregnancy (obviously I'm rather late lol)! You look great! I keep coming to your channel for travel and packing videos, but it's so fun to see other life updates. Lots of well wishes for you and baby! :)
Woooot Disney! We live in Florida and have annual passes and have taken our kids 8 times this year. Under 2 is actually much easier then when they get older, haha.
Only Disney World? What about Disneyland, or other Disney Parks? I think a good time to go would be when she could actually remember visiting and can at least experience Dumbo! The first time I went to Disney was when I was six, that seems like an appropriate age to go.
Why would you purchase a nursery for your vacation home? Why wouldn't you just use a pack n play and purchase a nicer mattress for it or temporpedic like foam? How often will you be in Utah?
+Tracney We plan to go for a long haul trip in the summer and at the holidays and possibly other times as well, depending on how Baby Girl is with travel. It's definitely a home away from home for all of us, so it made sense to treat it as such for the baby.
I'm 22 going on 23 weeks this Saturday, and I love watching your updates and any other videos! They're so relaxing and nice to watch, you're so soft spoken also, I love it! (Sorry if thats a little weird) Haha, see you on the next video! 😁💜💜
I had heart burn the entire way through my pregnancy and lived on Gaviscon. It sat on my bedside and I had to sleep with 5 pillows to keep me upright. 😅
I'm not asking you to share them, but do you have names picked out? Someone probably has already asked this, but I can't scroll through all of those comments!
Edward's Apple Orchard is very near my hometown. Eat an apple cider donut for me! They are the absolute best. Glad to see you're doing well and feeling good!
The Bumpalina has indeed grown... Baby Girl has wonderful accommodations! Would eating a banana help with your leg cramps? Oh you just said so. Good! Please don't do a green nursery. It's so hard to decorate around. Also I strongly dislike green. I don't understand people who take babies and toddlers to Disney, because what do they remember? But the family trip sounds awesome. Enough prattling, you look happy and healthy, see you next week for 26!
+nerdlingful I don't really understand that thinking at all..by your logic, why do anything with a child until they are maybe between 3-5, as they won't remember it anyway? You do things with a child to enjoy the moment with htem as it happens, it doesn't really matter whether they will remember it for the rest of their life.
+merbobear I'm not sure where you get that. My point is, if the child is an infant (birth-2) the trip is really for the parents. The infant will just experience a lot of sights and sounds she won't understand, and which might be loud or frightening, not to mention the sheer logistics of toting an infant around an amusement park. Long lines, diaper woes, hot sun and having to park the stroller...yikes. If parents are going to spend a lot of money for a Disney trip, they might as well wait until the kid/s can enjoy the experience too. Conversely, a family trip where Disney is not necessarily the focus can be lovely.
nerdlingful You said that you don't understand why people would take a baby to Disney because they don't remember the vacation - so by that logic, don't do anything with a child until they are the age they will remember it. All I did was comment on your statement...so that is where I got that. And as for why other people do things with their kids - why because they want to enjoy something with them, why else? Hope that helped you to better understand.
Received my prize today thank you so much really made my day! Glad your feeling so good gosh talking about leg camps I never had a cramp until I was pregnant on my first child woke in the middle of the night with an excruciating pain in my leg felt like someone had stabbed me in the leg needless to say I frightened the life out of my husband but thank god I only ever got one but that was enough for me:) never had any on the second one thank god !
I wasn't super comfortable with bed sharing either, but that is just one form of co-sleeping.... We didn't buy a co-sleeper. We put our bassinet right up against our bed. It was super convenient for nursing. And I now must go and find apple cider donuts!!!!
Thank you so much for the fun update! You don't have long to go now....woohoo! I love the nice things you got for Baby Girl and the so very cute cards. Big Hugs. :D
I would love to hear more of you and Don's thoughts on Montessori schools and why you think its worth the investment.
You are so articulate and impressive to watch. I just started watching you a short while ago because of your planner pages, I find this baby info interesting. All of the gifts from viewers are lovely but I see how they may get overwhelming because you have so many generous viewers that want to share in the excitement of your new family member. Hey Jen,
I don't know which bassinet you've chosen, but (if I may give you a heads up, I know the constant advice can get to be a lot!), I had an emergency c-section on September 15th and our bassinet has been a huge lifesaver. +C Carley Rowland I've actually chosen the Halo as well. It gets rave reviews!
Pretty Neat Living You are going to LOVE it! It is rather heavy so once you choose a position for it, its tough to move.
Halfway through and still looking fabulous! :) Thanks for sharing with us Jen! Can't wait to meet baby girl via YT!
I'm SO happy you like the bows! I don't sell them, I just LOVE to make, and give them as gifts. xo Melissa
+queenbee063 I JUST LOVE YOUR BOWS, SO SO CUTE! I WOULD WEAR THEM MYSELF! LOL
+jannette wood LOL, THANKS :)
How cute is it that your name is Melissa and Jens women of the family all call each other Melissa!? Cute bows!!
+Elandra Lee Small world, LOL, Thank you!
+queenbee063 They're just precious! Thank you so much :)
I always look forward to your pregnancy updates! I'm so glad everything is going well.

+elizabeth medero I can imagine that small kids would like that ride but it terrifies me for whatever reason LOL ;)
Great video. I always enjoy seeing your updates. Time seems to be going by fast.

Thanks!
+Ashley C We've narrowed it down to 3 :)
Really hoping the furniture makes it before the holidays; I'm excited to see how you tackle baby 'gear' organization! I'm so happy you and Don had such a lovely time on your babymoon--you look so well! PS ACV scored another heath and wellness point!
+Hannah Mann I hope so too but I'm sure it will work out fine either way. And you can bet I'll be sharing!
the 25th week is when my sister had her preemie twins, the boy weighed 1 pound 9 oz and did not make it ,the girl weighed 1 pound 15 oz ...she was in the NICU for 100 days..... now she is a healthy 12 year old! .... my only child turns 30 in October

Love your videos and so excited for you! Do you plan on including baby girl in your vlogs once she is born?
As a wdw cast member I am so happy you covered the Disney world question! Hope your little girl loves Disney like you and don do!

I really do like the Montessori method, even just for setting up the home to be conducive for Montessori teaching. Lots of great videos on RUclips about that.
It's so sweet to see you so happy about your baby. How beautifully you share with us.
I wish you all the best with your baby.
I had horrendous foot and leg cramps that got progressively worse. My ob had me take Magnesium. It helped a bit. You look great!
There is a darling store in downtown Glen Ellyn called Bows and Babes (I think?) that you should visit!
i had my twin boys between 25 and 26 weeks they both weighed 1lb 13 ozs and were 13 inches long. best of luck and wait to see each weeks progression
Ahh I'm loving your pregnancy updates, I love seeing them appear in my feed. So I'm 15 weeks ahead of you with my second and last week we had our baby boy (yellow bump turned blue) at 39 weeks.

HI Jen! You look radiant! Can you talk about how you are storing/saving your baby stuff?
The 26 weeks pregnancy update is showing as a private video only with no access to it?
I love the furniture you picked it is beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for answering the Disney question! Really glad you still plan to go, it'll be magical taking your little one. These videos are so wonderful, look fwd to them every week xx
Are you planning on traveling with your baby/kid as much as you do now. Or will you travel only in summer because of school commitments
maybe I missed it, but how about names? or do you want it to be a surprise? I am just generally interested how parents start with finding the right name.
Sophie is my shih-tzu's favorite toy! It is the only "squeaky" toy that still works after several years!
Jen, Ancient Minerals magnesium lotion would help you so much with the charlie horse/foot cramps. You can get it on Amazon. :)
Loved Winnie's expression when you showed Sophie the giraffe! Great blog!
Hi Jen! I was wondering are you and Don planning on having a baby shower??? If so, when? Thanks for posting, I love watching these. I am currently 36 weeks and expecting a boy :)
+shan3one3 Congrats! Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well and wishing you a speedy & safe delivery :)
Will the baby's ears be pierced? If yes, at what age?
Okay this is going to sound crazy but for the leg cramps...try putting a couple of small soaps (like the ones from the hotel bathroom) between your mattress and your fitted bottom sheet down by your feet. Someone recommended this to my husband because he has leg cramp issues when he's sleeping and it works. I have no idea why but it does. We thought it sounded weird but it has really helped him.
+sfstock1 How interesting!
No matter what is one of my favourite books to read my LO it's very lovely - good choice!
Loved the video Jennifer.....never too long......always perfect! Thanks for sharing! You're looking radiantly gorgeous! Such an exciting time!!!

Debi Gliori writes the best books - her Pure Dead Series (for young teens+) is so funny and brilliant
my doctor told told me tums is fine... Specially when it had calcium. just couldn't take A lot. both my kiddos are fine
I am 25 weeks today!!!! I'm due on January 14, 2016!
+Ann Baker Congrats :)
Love your updates. You are absolutely glowing, and look so happy and relaxed. So happy for you.
Dear Jen i also recommend you a co-sleeper bassinet. For me being a ultra anxious person, the bassinet and the Snouza clip are my salvation. I have my baby right beside me. I dont have to get up at night to check his breathing , i just take a quick look and i can confort him with one arm that he likes to grab falling asleep and he is in his own space, safe and sound :)
I had to remove the bedside table but i got a little cart where i put baby and mom essentials and i go all around the house with it and i love it!!
We LOVE the Snuza! Probably the best thing we bought for our little guy!
I'm so glad someone asked about going to Disney World! Those vlogs are going to be so cute!
Jen, we love your long vids. The longer the better lol
you are going to be such a good mom and don is going to a be a good dad so happy for you both
Winnie was so cute in the background! love the updates!
Winnie was eyeballing that plush Sophie so hard!
I always love the pregnancy videos. Thank you Jen.
By the looks of Winnie when you squeezed Sophie, you will definitely need 2! Winnie was just waiting for you to give her the toy! Too cute...
+AnneMarieRenee LOL, 2 of everything ;)
My dog definitely popped up when he heard the squeaky toy, lol! Great update! Sounds like you are having a blissful pregnancy :)
Papaya tablets really helped my digestion as well as mint teas!
You're popping girl! With happiness, with excitement, with Baby! You're positively fizzing and it's fantastic :) So happy for you and Don!
Also will you be getting a 3/4d ultrasound to see the little one in the upcoming weeks?
I love Montessori schools. I didn't go, but got to observe a bunch while becoming a teacher. It's very cool.
Look forward to these updates.
+candyformandy Me too :)
Did you get an ottoman for the glider? Hope so because you will want one. I had Dutalier gliders - the best!
+MomtoZnE Yes, our model came with the one that also has the kick out nursing stool, which I like :)
I had heart burn the entire way through my pregnancy and lived on Gaviscon. It sat on my bedside and I had to sleep with 5 pillows to keep me upright. 😅
You're almost there Jen! Can't believe how time is flying
Almonds REALLY helps me with the acid reflux/heartburn
So happy my package arrived safely Jen! I hope baby girl enjoys everything! Xxx
+Sophie Dalton Thanks for thinking of us!
Love these videos. Thanks for sharing
I'm not asking you to share them, but do you have names picked out? Someone probably has already asked this, but I can't scroll through all of those comments!
+Morgan Coulter We've narrowed it down to a few choices and we're going to decide once she's born. We'll share at that time.
Edward's Apple Orchard is very near my hometown. Eat an apple cider donut for me! They are the absolute best. Glad to see you're doing well and feeling good!
Have you been burning any candles since being pregnant?
+huskerfan8888 I haven't actually, but I think that's more because it's been warm outside and I'm generally more of a cool weather candle burner.
Hi Jennifer are you
Going to cord blood bank ?
The Bumpalina has indeed grown... Baby Girl has wonderful accommodations! Would eating a banana help with your leg cramps? Oh you just said so. Good! Please don't do a green nursery. It's so hard to decorate around. Also I strongly dislike green. I don't understand people who take babies and toddlers to Disney, because what do they remember? But the family trip sounds awesome. Enough prattling, you look happy and healthy, see you next week for 26!
+nerdlingful My s/o and I go to Disney and we don't have kids yet, but a lot of people go to Disney because the adults love Disney, too. :)
Conversely, a family trip where Disney is not necessarily the focus can be lovely.
nerdlingful
You said that you don't understand why people would take a baby to Disney because they don't remember the vacation - so by that logic, don't do anything with a child until they are the age they will remember it. All I did was comment on your statement...so that is where I got that.
And as for why other people do things with their kids - why because they want to enjoy something with them, why else? Hope that helped you to better understand.
Received my prize today thank you so much really made my day! Glad your feeling so good gosh talking about leg camps I never had a cramp until I was pregnant on my first child woke in the middle of the night with an excruciating pain in my leg felt like someone had stabbed me in the leg needless to say I frightened the life out of my husband but thank god I only ever got one but that was enough for me:) never had any on the second one thank god !
your hair looks shiny and full but please be aware that post baby, hair begins to fall out by the handful! whats your take on that?
+sweetiee17x3 If that happens, I'll probably cut it shorter but long enough to wear back in a clip until the phase passes. It's just hair :)
I wasn't super comfortable with bed sharing either, but that is just one form of co-sleeping.... We didn't buy a co-sleeper. We put our bassinet right up against our bed. It was super convenient for nursing.
And I now must go and find apple cider donuts!!!!
Does anyone know of Jen posted the Romanian Romina furniture? I wanted to see it but don't see it in her description
I believe there is only a blog post. www.prettyneatliving.com/nursery-update-september-2015/
Hope this helps x
+Emma matthews yes thank you!!
:)
Thank you so much for the fun update! You don't have long to go now....woohoo! I love the nice things you got for Baby Girl and the so very cute cards. Big Hugs. :D
Congrats on 25 weeks!
