This just sends chills. Such an amazing song just one word: mesmerizing! listen to the crowded house music thru this coronavirus pandemic lift my spirits up...
I was at this awesome concert. I laughed and cried ( and it was postponed by.rain for 24 hours) have the t -shirt to prove it. I had this song at my wedding.it means a lot me and Taryn. Wanna renew my vows this year. Blood dries up; like rain. Marriage is marriage Every song takes on its own life after t is written and means some thing different to each listener. This song was our first dance. Neil, if you ever come back to the UK, let me know! Say May 2017??? I live in Selsey West Sussex, there is a venue here!!!! Cheers R
I think you're mixing this up with the 1996 farewell to the world concert on the steps of the Opera House. That was indeed rained out on the Saturday and held in glorious sunshine on the Sunday. This concert was 20 years later. I too was at the 1996 concert, standing in the sun for 8 hours watching Powderfinger, Custard (and I wanna say You am I?) before the Crowdies hit the stage. And yeah, I remember lots of people in the audience crying during the show. One of the best concerts I've been to
Four seasons in one day Llying in the depths of your imagination Worlds above and worlds below Sun shine's on the black clouds hanging over the domain Even when your feeling warm The temperature could drop away Like four seasons in one day Smiling as the shit comes down You can tell a man from what he has to say Everything gets turned around And I will risk my neck again, again You can take me where you will Up the creek and through the mill Like all the things you can't explain Four seasons in one day Blood dries up Like rain, like rain Fills my cup Like four seasons in one day Doesn't pay to make predictions Sleeping on an un-made bed Finding out wherever there is comfort there is pain Only one step away Like four seasons in one day Blood dries up Like rain, like rain Fills my cup Like four seasons in one day
Yep dbackx is correct. In fact Neil has quoted this very song was "written in Melbourne, about Melbourne and for Melbourne". The lyrics "hanging over the domain" was a reference to the domain interchange on St. Kilda road Melbourne.
Voices in trully great artists like Crowded House and Peter Gabriel do not start to go, they evolve but ultimately get better with age. Everytime I hear this song get a happy chill down my spine :-)
The Finn boys are kiwis. But the band cut its teeth playing pubs and clubs in Australia. The band had one Kiwi, Two Aussies and one American. As a band though, Crowded House are an aussie band despite Neil being a kiwi. After Whittakers chocolate, the Finn buys are the best exports New Zealand has ever gifted to the world :)
@@richardcamp2362 I don't think it's age as such. Neil's voice sounds like he has throat problems, tim sounds like he doesn't really sing much any more. I've heard them both perform better since this, so not age.
One of my fav songs, just love his voice, and of course, the fact that he plays it with his brother. Wish I could have been there!
One of the very best songs ever.
Best of the "downunder" exports and some of the best songwriting ever.
This was one of my favourite songs at that time .. absolutely love it and what a songwriter, what a voice - one of the best bands of the time imo
One of the greatest melodies ever crafted
The 2019 year I am still listening to the song! Love Crowded House!
every year week day one of their songs plays
Absolutly.
How nice to see them so good looking and playing old Songs so sincerely
Best bit was the audience singing at the end. Magic.

Prayers to all in Australia during this time of fire and struggle. We love you. Listening to this my heart goes out to you all.
Really missing Paul’s harmonies on this song but truly a great song. Crowded House albums are the top of my playlist. Never tire of them!

This concert was just recently. They were inducted into the Australian ARIA hall of fame. Played again at the opera house :)

Four seasons in one day

Even when your feeling warm
The temperature could drop away
Like four seasons in one day
Smiling as the shit comes down
You can tell a man from what he has to say
Everything gets turned around
And I will risk my neck again, again
You can take me where you will
Up the creek and through the mill
Like all the things you can't explain
Four seasons in one day
Blood dries up
Like rain, like rain
Fills my cup
Like four seasons in one day
Doesn't pay to make predictions
Sleeping on an un-made bed
Finding out wherever there is comfort there is pain

Voices are starting to go. Time catches up with everyone.
Life is no more than four seasons in one day.
Who’s listening to this in 2096 riding backwards on a unicycle while opening a can of kippers 👍👍👍👌👌
How Fortunate we as ordinary people to be exposed to two very talented musicians..
Is there a chord change or is it my smartphone?
Aveces puenso que esta cancion explica el porque se suicidó el baterista de la banda.
OK

Tim's voice for sure, even precision and intonation, Neil is still great
one of nz best bands... nz not aussie
Only the Finn brothers were NZ. the other band members were Aussie and American

Neil and Tim's voices are shot here, worst I've ever heard them, anyone know what happened?
I think there great
Agree but they’ve had a good run.
They’re not hitting notes
Age.
