One year I sung 'Never Would've Made It' while my Dad battled stage four lung cancer (thanks to Vietnam and Agent Orange). The following year I sung 'So Glad I Made It' after my Dad transitioned to his next assignment. Then I had to sing 'The Best In Me' after people tried to drag my name through the mud. I lost my daddy to cancer too. He served in the Army. I believe exposure to toxic and hazardous materials are taking our servicemen and women. I'm sorry for your loss. My daddy was my best friend and I just wish he was still with us physically.

With all due respect, there is a difference between the two. God sent his Son Jesus to this earth to bring the Word of God to those who would receive, He stood in the gap between sinful man and the just God Almighty who is all holy and Jesus bore our sins so that we could be reunited to God our Father. Our sinful nature separates us from God but Jesus died for our sins and rose again to sit at the right hand of God. We cannot earn salvation by being good people and doing good enough because God sees our hearts and knows our fallen sinful state. Our minds have to be renewed and that only comes byway of salvation which allows us the chance to receive God's Holy Spirit.
This might be confusing but God cannot simply be understood by our human minds and reasoning. The Spirit of God dwells in those who have faith in who Jesus and the sacrifice he made. It is through Jesus we can be reunited with God and our sins are washed and remembered no more. This is the difference between the two.
