I'll be picking up some Of that water proof coating for both my RC boats & crawlers. Mock up Looks great. Odd this comment was for the second video in the series
Hey Sam, I have a 48” cat I want to convert to electric ⚡️ any recommendations on motors... where can I find motors mounts and cooling jacket, that ESC please.
Here's the link to that 200 amp ZTW ESC. This is the website where I buy my RC boat parts... www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=ztw-200-6200200-v2
I’m no where near a knowledgeable as Sam but the TP motors are really well built and in my opinion having both end caps removable is a big plus. If by chance water gets in your boat and the bearings get noisy they can be replaced without removing the rotor . This can be an issue on other motors where only one cap comes off especially with a Kevlar wrap on the rotor in these type it is so easy to damage the Kevlar sliding the rotor out of the magnets(stator) once damaged and reused the Kevlar fails and at Revs the magnets fly apart not long after. I have a standard TP motor and when I upgraded the bearings to stainless/ ceramic hybrids the rotor looked like it had a carbon rotor wrap and it is so much tougher than the Kevlar, the Kevlar looks like fishing line the carbon looks like a flatter wider finish. Also the peak amp capacity of the TP motor is very good it’s heading up toward the Lehner at 1/3 the cost. They have D wind and Y wind choices giving lots of KV choices as well, the bad part is because of Covid (I think) there seams to be less stock at the moment. Also TP USA are not so great at answering emails I had many questions and they answered about 4 out of about 8 so that meant I still don’t know if I bought the absolute best motor they offer for my set up. In their defence they replied even on a Saturday to one Question. Food for though.

Hello sam Are there finished wooden parts for the rigger as a kit? Or is everything self-made? Greetings Andy.
It's a laser cut kit. You build everything...
