HOW WOULD THE SUPERMARKET MANAGER KNOW IF EVERYONE WAS HONEST, I BET THEY ARE NOT. IM NOT A THIEF BUT I LIKE A PERSON TO PUT MY GROCERIES INTO BAGS AND SERVE ME. IM PROBABLY OLD FASHIONED.
I absolutely hate it. They increase their prices, have shortages in stock.and we still have to work for them? I don't mind for a few purchases, but near full trollies it's very difficult. They have assistants but not enough. It's very disgusting that they make profits but decrease their actual service. Getting online shopping it's a hit and miss a lot of time, and many older people can't do it. I'm so disappointed with Woolworths & also Cole's, who is doing it also. Customer care is going down not up. Not all technology is good in a personal level. Not happy 😠
Why go to all that expense just to make them wider? For all the AI and extra anti thief camera's. opps! forgot to tell everyone this part. Still waiting on the plastic bags to be completely removed!
You should not use these check outs as we are told by industry and government we must employ people jobs are most important and if you us the checkouts with human people than you keep someone employed and look the prices are going up all the time and Christmas and Easter the shop ramp up the prices and you are the one doing the checkout work so the shops are saving heaps and you don’t be fit from it so use the checkout with a person there same with airlines I use the checkin counter I don’t use the auto checkin and than you have to take your bag to the drop off counter it takes longer and if ask why I don’t use the auto checkin I say to them I’m saving your job and it feels more personal I see people using the auto checkin thinking they are smart rich travelers but I use the old way and go through security and buy a coffee and they are still at baggage drop off after auto checkin and they still have to go through the same as normal checkin I think we are loose the human contact that is part of human nature to have some contact with others and also people learn and are more aware of things that are not right as someone will say to someone else and it starts a reaction to stop or correct the issue
If I can't go to a register I don't shop there, simple not serving myself

I make five finger discounts as a form of payment for packing my own food! Sometimes 50% off if I’m in a bad mood 👍🏻
They still have face cameras no doubt and Cole’s don’t - they are taking your face photo and credit card history without you even knowing it.
