@@hippiehippiehippiehippie specifically, I believe all actions are based on what has already happened, and the current game state doesn't get saved. You play the game out by having units receive orders and update their new positions, so you can never load back in. It's the same reason why you can't go backwards in replays (because the engine doesn't remember where your unit WAS 10 seconds ago, only where it is NOW and what orders are queued), and presumably why there is a lot of felt "input lag" because the order you give your unit has to be sent to the opponent as well before your unit changes orders, in order for both players' game states to remain in sync.
The burden of proof of these things is incredibly high. However, randomly deciding to simultaneously use both of your arty pieces on a single building in a zone when you've had no vision of most of that zone for almost 10 minutes is really something. When you combine that with everything else that happened that game, let's just say it really makes me think
