BEST SHOOT FILM EVER
Absolute favourite bit at 3:33 - seeing him interacting with an unknown person, and then finally getting to see what the picture was of.
Shine in my eyes when I see a new video from you.... Nice camera, amazing film, great photos and UNSTOPABLE charisma... Well done bro!
+Thiagones thanks, man. you made my day with this comment. haha
I love your confidence when taking photographs of people you can not possibly know.
Its like listening to Miles Davis on vinyl on a Rega P6 MC through high quality speakers. You have NO idea what its like until you experience it. For those of you who didnt grow up on film, strap in and enjoy the life journey....... So cool!!! Great video.
I love the simplicity of this... one lens..... one camera..... one roll of film..... beautiful.well done eduardo 👍👍👍👍
Just want to ask did you pushed the film or not? thank you :)
Love it x 1000! That Leica looks so cool too.. and like always, I love your Ninja ways.
+Old Cameras haha. thanks man! :D
One of the best street photography youtube video I've seen!
hands down, one of the best one roll of film videos I've ever seen. I can't wait for you next video man!
This camera+film combination is purely a perfection
Your photos are one of the best street photos I have seen in a video. Especially on just one roll of film, great work!
Eduardo, with your happy smile and cheery face you get away with this style of photography. If I tried it with my flabby, grey, Scottish face - which always looks grumpy - then I would be assaulted, regularly. Kudos for a fine series of videos.
So weird seeing this right after seeing the Hasselblad videos, and seeing what a faster pace you're capable of with the Leica. You clearly have a lot of experience and confidence with this camera, and it's great to see in action.
Outstanding ! This is my favorite of these episodes.
This series is so delightfully Zen!
Amazing ! The photos are so good ! I'd probably be scared of the "models" reaction ^^
¡Saludos!
... and those last twelve are pretty good shots!
Good job. Every one of your pictures was great. You really took advantage of what was available.
Every photo is amazing
It's always pleasure watching your new video!
Super video! Some of the photos are great!
I hope every day that another one of these is up on your channel. Thanks for the quality content!
Love this! Whatever's else you have in mind go out and do it.. Street photography needs to see more of this..!
Wow, this guy is a real artist! Spammed by all those so-called review videos, yours is one of the few true, high quality videos that are actually about art and photography. Thanks so much for sharing :D
+JINYUAN LI thank you very much for such a nice comment! :D
Eduardo, I just found your channel and I love the videos you make. Very entertaining stuff! I’m playing catch-up right now and enjoying the binge. Thanks for the channel. All the best.
Haha! it's funny to saw the reaction of people when you shoot with you're old Leica M3. The pictures are awesome :O Nice composition :)
I enjoy this series so much. I think the dancing person at 3:53 is my favourite bit though, I love it's what we can see but then they aren't what you're taking the photo of.
Some great compositions in this one. What year M3 is it you are using? Thanks you for all the great content.
Bro, were these sot at box speed or pushed at all. Great video! Just found you!
Great work and interesting outing. You have a great eye and are prepared and fast. Some shots that stood out:
Snack man at 1:21, has an emotional, disgruntled look; candid shots are way better than reaction smiles.
Worker at 2:22, he looks completely unaware of you and his whole demeanor shows real character.
Girl in the window at 3:45, the open aperture selected helped you disappear into the bokeh.
Bobby at 4:22, captured great expression of cop looking disbelieving at taxi driver.
Break dancer stretching for performance at 4:32 with beat box crew in background. Perfect moment (my personal favorite); tells a story far better than a later action shot would have. It looks frameable.
ilford hp5..my favorites. thank you
I really enjoyed this one, great work!
I shoot film and use Cinestill DF96 do develop plack and white, I use Ilford HP5plus but I'm looking for a cleaner/ sharper picture, so do I go for a lower iso ? Cheers
Ed amazing street photography as always 😊👌👏
very nice photos! do you do any post work to photos after scan?
1:02 he apologized and then a love story started :)
+VanDan cue romantic music. :)
Edgar G. It was an IR/UV because I had used that lens with the M8 before. You don’t need that filter at all.
Fuckin cell Phones ,making people dull
Such a great video (and even more, a reason to seriously consider getting the M3). Amazing images, man.
You have a great eye!! I was so excited when I saw a new video had been posted. Keep shooting!!
excelente trabajo! me encantaron las foto!! eres buenísimo Edo.
Great~~another one of the excellent Shoot Film series! :)
brilliant. Nicely done Edouardo
you are amazing Edouardo. Really !
Nice work! Just wondering, do you ever have trouble focusing or seeing all of the framelines with your glasses on with the M3?
I like your style!..have you ever had the M3 serviced?
Ed, thank you. Because even if you think that nothing's going on in a video like this one, you're inspiring people out there, little by little, to move their butts and go outside to take pictures. For some time now, I've had a DSLR on my hands, and even though I have so much fun when I play around with it, and even after a lot of people have complimented my photos, I've been shy about photographing for YEARS. But now I'm taking a step forward and next month I'll start a small basic course on professional photography (I actually have zero technique, I just take pictures while playing with exposure, iso and so on by intuition, and I'd like to explore analogue photography one day). Wish me luck!
Amazing! Did you shoot it at box speed?
Brilliant as always!
I like the way you shot the girl at 3.45. Love your videos and looking for the next coming videos from you.
Keep doing this mate, cheer up :)
I like the music switch up! Usually you seem to go for the jazz drum solo
what was the general shutter speed were you using for these photos? they seem so crisp. i have found when im walking around i get shake even at 1/500 if im not careful. i love the look of the photos im not having the same success with the m2 i recently bought. practice makes perfect i suppose.
+Bill Pickle (IGR) oh I'm used to shoot at very slow speeds. my camera needs to be adjusted because it fails at 1/500 so most of these pictures were taken between 1/250 and 1/100 except the last ones, which were shot at about 1/30. :)
+EduardoPavezGoye ive been aiming for 1/1000 at f8 and pushing to 800... maybe i just need to slow down instead of trying to quickly take the photo.
i noticed something in one of your pictures that seems to happen on my camera at 1/250 occasionally. like the last 1/4 of the photo has an under exposed section. it happens randomly with mine. usually at the start of a roll. can be frustrating.
Bill Pickle yeah, I know the feeling. sometimes it happens. I need to CLAd my good old Leica M3... :(
+EduardoPavezGoye your photos are awesome man no matter what camera you are using
oh, man. thank you.
Some great shots in there!
The Shoot Film videos are very cool!!
Awesome! I love these types of videos, keep them up!
Hi Eduardo great video, how do you measure the light when leica m3 has no light meter and i noticed the light t a little dim, thanks
What apertures did you use for these street photos?
loads of good shots
I am totally new to street photography, but I've tried to made up a rule and not take "the picture" if someone is using a cell phone. Living in San Francisco that can be quite a challenge. Although you totally make some of these work here, I could see you found that frustrating as well. Great job man!
Hi Eduardo,
that's an incredible shoot film :)
Last week i bought an old M3, and i use HP5+ me too..
Just a question: what about exposure in street photography style..like your? What was the main f/time that you used?
Thanks
Tom
I just shoot as open as possible and expose accordingly.
We've all had those days where we have to make something out of nothing lol but honestly it makes you a better photographer when you do have those "decisive moments" coming out of nowhere. Can you speak more about how you use the M8 for wedding photography?
+Jedilost1 I'll keep it in mind for sure. thanks for the suggestion!
What camera do you use to video this? Also do you use any filter?
1:31 a young Christopher Nolan :)
One of my favorite episodes, I still come back to watch it from time to time
Love your photos, but I wonder how do you make sure you have the right exposure?
Die Fotos sind super :) loved it :)
what is your technique for take good pictures without lightmeter with the M3
the guy at 4:39 reminds me of joaqin phoenix in her.. great video
+The Bride IKR??
Bro, I know huh, I was like damn he's still in character(sarcasm)
Do you use a light meter with the m3? Your exposures a pretty spot on! Or did you adjust in post?
+Kenneth Kum I use a free app called "Light Meter". I meter the light, the shadow and then adjust accordingly as long as the light stays consistent. I talk about it in here (you need to press "CC" to get the subtitles): ruclips.net/video/-Ggmc5iAW9Q/видео.html
+EduardoPavezGoye +Kenneth Kum The light meter app works really well! I find it tends to underexpose in bright contrast light, probably to control blown highlights for the iPhone. The Luxi incedent light meter add-on helps to give more precise meter readings, which are generally 1 stop over the normal reflective meter readings. So if you use the reflective mode, then overexposing by 1 stop will generally give you a more accurate film exposure. Great job on the video, thanks for sharing! :D
Inspirador y genial, bravo Eduardo!
Maaaan, great combo M3 + summi 1.4! Great photos. Love the feel of it. Do you use lightmeter? How come your exposure is always spot on????!!!! ;) good luck and good light man.
at the begining I measure lights and shadows with a free app called "Light Meter", then I remember the metering and adjust, calculating with my eyes. :)
EduardoPavezGoye you probably shot hundreds of films to perfect your eye
Nice video Eduardo, though I think from my point of view, that photos are a bit gray. maybe it's the film maybe it's the light meter of the camera, I'm not sure. again, great video, thanks.
Mohammed Al-Qahtani no, no... it's the look I gave to the film in post because I like it like that. The film is more contrasted, and the Leica M3 doesn't have a light meter...
Oh I see. thanks for your comment :)
I always enjoy your videos, you are so cool and talented! I was wondering why are you using some kind of magenta filter in front of your lens?
it's an UV/IR filter. the Leica M8 needs an IR filter (otherwise it renders black fabrics as purple), so I keep the filter on in my lenses. :)
EduardoPavezGoye cheers :) it makes sense now.
Me encantan estos videos! Son realmente inspiradores :)
Siempre, genial trabajo!
hi! love your videos, i got myself an m4 and i was wondering what filter do you use to underexpose in daylight so i can use wider apertures, thank you, keep up the good work you're awesome!
+Giacomo zrk you need an ND filter. I can't recommend you any, truth be told. I'm sure there are MANY internet forums talking about the subject, though. ;)
Thanks!
I have a chance to buy an M3 with that same lens, wich I think are in good condition. Can you tell me what would be reasonable price?
Nice shots!!!
Saludos
Which developers are u used? I also used Kodak Tmax 1:4
Wow! You take a great pictures and moments in 3:31 4:24 are masterful! haha
Damn to many smokers in this video hehe!! Nice images!!
Hey i like your video so much! What for a ISO do you use on the film?
+Marcel Taylor I'm not sure I get your question, is it how do I rate the ISO? I just shoot the film and develop it accordingly. I have a video on how to develop, and it's explained in detail. :)
+EduardoPavezGoye yes, thats what i mean thank you i watch it now
How do you get those pictures on a pc? For youtube?
Wow, this is a great video! Very inspiring 💮
que maravillosas fotos!
Hi Eduardo you are chilenean??? Congratulations from Argentina
dude where do you get those amazing glasses?????
I liked your results with the Fomapan better
Wonderful demo of street photography.
Nice shots!
Muy buen trabajo, sigue así.
Muy buenas composiciones!!
How do you wind the film and always know how to leave a little bit of the leader? I tried doing it and always getting the cartridge with the filmm fully wound in.
You just feel when the film leaves the spool. It loses tension. I know more or less how long it takes to wind, so I start paying extra attention to the resistance of the film, near the end!
i like the music ... fits the city scene ..
dope serie !
Genial tu trabajo Eduardo.
