It's funny how the game tells the story of the actual situation. Overconfident king casually wanders out farther than it's wise to be... triumphantly shoots his shot by booting a knight... and gets gracefully but fatally clotheslined by the queen
Always so much fun to watch Anna playing chess - meeting cool people and sending positive energy is making this crazy world a better place - thank you thank you

1:15 I have only played chess in childhood; but I still remember that "the queen honors her color". (In addition, In Czech the queen is called 'dáma' - 'dame', 'lady' - and from this I can remember that she goes to the D-file; that determines the correct orientation of the board.)

That is quite simply about the most gentle and lovely chess game (aka TAKE HIM OUT) with the two most beautiful chess players on earth. LOL what a hoot to watch you both. Hope you both gave each other a hug at the end. Be well and thank you!
I'm pretty sure Anna would defeat me in the least possible number of moves. My skills in chess consist of "I know how each piece can move". 😂
That was beautiful. As I watched your moves, I could tell what his next moves would be...because they are the obvious moves a rookie like me would make (except for moving his king; even I know that's generally a last resort move). Then, around one minute in, I could see the snare closing. The moment you placed your knight in front of his king, I said, "Go ahead; it's about the only move you've left yourself." I saw how the rest of the game would unfold, right down to the moves your queen would make, and I started laughing out loud at the beauty of it.
That guy is seriously gorgeous. Damn.

I recently found a street chess event in Passage, the Hague, Netherlands. It's apparently organized by Stichting (Foundation) En Passant in the Hague. The Passage is a mall with a roof. They probably chose it against the rain.
I found it by accident on a Saturday. Unfortunately I don't know their exact event schedule. Might be worth checking out.
