I started watching and about 20 minutes in the video i went to go finish the whole game. Took me about a day on normal while exploring. The appreciation i have for this run is crazy
This is incredible gameplay. This guy makes it look so easy. Not a single shot wasted, enemies are destroyed before they even have a chance to attack, and his speed when upgrading all his gear is ridiculous. Bravo sir.
Yep... makes for a very interesting routing overall, there's also the Natural Masteries sub category which doesn't allow the use of Mastery Tokens, very painful

Amazing speedrun, but im curious as to how do you fly away after punching certain objects. Is it like an angle and can be done at specific spots or it can be done anywhere? Would love to hop around the map like you do
When you lunch something in this game, it very quickly accelerates you towards it, if that something is a big corpse or you turn your camera away quick enough,there's nothing to stop you so you just go flying, something like that
It's called Punch Hopping (I think). As the guy above explains, when you Punch something, it will accelerate you towards said thing. If you Hop while you punch said thing (you need a specific angle for it to work), you can preserve that speed. Continue hopping and you've got one of the most broken ways of Moving around in the Game (next only to Ramp Dashing).
1:46:41 micro missle master goes from 9/15 to 18/15, i was like "wtf, how". obviously glitch, then you literally get the last 15/15 right at the last sec b4 the icon of sin goes down. insane.
Also why does he shoot the plasma gun when he’s running does it make him faster? Edit:I just realised why and if anyone else wants to know it’s for the mod heat blast (pretty sure that’s what it’s called)
I looked up the restrictions for this category, and it said something about zips and slopeboosting. Now i'll not sit here and pretend to know every trick in this speedrun's trade or pretend to know how to even speedrun it to brgin with, but wasn't that a slopeboost at 13:00 ? Where you dash into a slope and go hurtling into the air? If so, wouldn't that invalidate it? If its not a slopeboost then i'd really love to know what it really is, since i'm an avid speedrun watcher and HATE it when speedrunners break their own rules they set out in "restricted" runs such as this one claims to be. I'd also like to know just what are all the restrictions for this run in the first place, since they aren't in a pinned comment or the description or anything.

They made it so if you miss picking it up in Gore it appears in ARC just to make sure players don't play the whole game missing one of the guns. That happens with some of the other guns as well, or they'll show up in the hub if you missed them. In the speedrun you have to go out of your way to get the chaingun in Gore and it just drops you down into an extra room with nothing else in it, so it's easier to get it later when they put it right in your way.

This level of movement and aiming is never possible on a controller. You may get somewhat close to this precision with motion aiming.
