Could you do a video on body dysmorphia / types of food to eat in weight restoration , that is if you have experienced it x thanks tal loving the content x
I love this video. Thank you so much for putting it up! I think that most people expect to just eat normally once beginning recovery, but the recovery process is NOT NORMAL. It's a way to get back to normal eating habits. And extreme hunger is a part of that journey.
People always comment on how there body needs to repair after years and years of starvation but how about if you’ve had an ED for less than a year?Is it still normal to experience this?
Lol Nah Yes, regardless of how long you've had an ED or even just an extreme diet, the body treats it all the same way and gets harmed from it. Your experience is still valid no matter how long or short your time with an ED was x
Lol Nah - even normal people who missed some food on one day can have massive hunger the next day to make up for it. I still experience extreme hunger every day when I haven´t had enough the day before. As is if my body is more sensitive to hunger after recovery....
This video is so helpful thank you so much for sharing. I'm currently in recovery and trying to accept comments etc. I can definitely find myself in the part where you're explaining when people tell you you look well. It's so hard when people tell you that when actually you know somewhere in the back of you're mind, that you're underweight. That's the constant battle we're fighting for. What would people say when I actually gained more weight? That's the hardest part
Thanks for addressing the extreme Physical Pain in your stomach when it’s in extreme hunger mode. I can’t find much on it bc I need help on what to do about it. Do you take any medicine for it? Is it because the acid in your stomach doesn’t have enough food to mix with it? For me it is the weirdest strangest most uncomfortable horrible indescribable pain-I’ve never felt anything like it. I wish I could find more videos on it-the uncomfortable pain scares me even more than the extreme hunger that causes it. Does the food help your pain subside?
I've recently started to increase my calorie intake, and since then I've been getting these headaches that only go away after I eat something. The problem is that it comes back an hour or two later and gradually gets worse until I eat again. The part that confuses me is that I don't really feel physically hungry when the headaches start to come back. I don't know whether to take this as I should eat when the headaches start up or not.
I wear my regular glasses on my head more than my eyes 😂 il be squinting trying to see something while my glasses are just there chilling pretending to be a hair band 🙄😂
@@caitlinm1874 I actually ended up finding out I had a lot of food allergies that were making me sick, tired and causing a lot of stomach pain that sometimes I mistook for hunger. I did go through a brief period of extreme hunger that was real but most of what I experienced was the result of eating foods that made me sick. I do however find that during recovery having delayed digestion can make you tired, I think because it takes a lot of energy to break down the food you eat but also because it takes a longer time than a normal person to digest that it might take longer for you to get energy from the food also. I found if I didn't eat in the morning and ate around lunch but still the same amount I would get all my energy at bed time and be unable to sleep. I found smoothies extremely helpful for the low energy because they break down easier. But some of it is just inevitable during early recovery, it depends on how long you've been in recovery or if you bounce back and forth between relapsing and recovery, I find that can also cause a lot if fatigue and stress on your body. Hope this helps.
@@victoriaevans2442 oh my goodness i seriously can’t thank you enough, it’s so so strange. I’ve been waking up later naturally due to the fact that I would be hungry later on for desserts and then it’s a cycle so I obviously still eat my calorie minimum but just later in the day. I’ve also been eating dairy which I never ate during my ED or until very recently, I’ve never been allergic but my body definitely could have developed a slight intolerance making me exhausted! this helped so much. I’m going to have a smoothie before I have my lunch and see if it helps :)
Ive been restricting for about 5 months any guesses on how my long extreme hunger will last, I know there's no certain amount of time but I wanna heal it and it is depressing me
@@LittleFightingTal I stopped today barely begining to feed my extreme hunger I just wanna know if u have a clue how long this will last till I get full on normal portions
Hey, can I experience extreme hunger even if I am normal weight|weight restored (gained weight in a restrictive way) I feel like I use recovery as an excuse why I eat so much...
the sad thing is that I was also underweight when I was told that and I’ve gained a good amount of weight from then now and that comment still plays on my mind every single damn day

Headaches are a hunger signal

Is it normal to experience extreme fatigue during the extreme hunger process, like I don't have any energy unless I pretty much binge?
i’m experiencing this too and i’m curious about it

Digesting food takes a lot of energy, and your body is working so hard to use all those calories to mend you up. It's perfectly normal to be exhausted
You are so inspiring. Also where is your jumper from?
I’ve had to cut way back on sugar because I find that it eats up my calories quicker which means I have to eat more food.
Another amazing video so helpful xx
Ah! I’m glad it was helpful! Thank you!!
Love you loads!!!! Thank you ❤️

If you’re restricting it’s only going to go on for longer. Stop restricting and give your body the food it needs!
