One reason stores don´t open until 11 in gamla stan.Is that because the streets are so narrow there so trucks who delivers goods to shops, bars restaurants there must do it before 11. And that is why the shops doesnt open after 11 otherwise it would be a complete chaos in old town with people and trucks chasing each other. There simply arent room for custemes and trucks in gamla stan. If a trucker is in Gamla stan with his goods after 11 he get´s fined.

Well... why open, when it's not much people that early in the day? Also that most work places in Stockholm is NOT in the Old Town area. Also... you seem to be there at a non-tourist season. By the way... wich day and date were you there?
If this day was a Sunday pretty much everything is closed..come in the summer instead more people outside and more life. Winter and fall is boring haha

The old town lives by summer tourists, it's different in June to August.
