    I believe that rail was higher than a long range boat rail. Would you set the reel at strike 25% of line test?

    I still haven't see anyone fishing with 30lbs of drag yet, anything above you better hold on to that setup or its doing bye bye , remember fish have tails and pull against you

    Any idea on how much the blank weighs?

      The 7'6" weighs 22.7 ounces, the 7' is 19 ounces. They're pretty hefty since they're a 9 ply rod.

      @@MemphisPrime thanks! It's actually comforting to know that they are not some sub 20 gram superlight blank that feels like it's gonna snap at any given time, beefy rod for beefy fish!!
