I believe that rail was higher than a long range boat rail. Would you set the reel at strike 25% of line test?

Any idea on how much the blank weighs?
The 7'6" weighs 22.7 ounces, the 7' is 19 ounces. They're pretty hefty since they're a 9 ply rod.
