Was going to say the same. Not sure how you make yours but they could do something simple like just slice a clove up and put it in some butter on the stove over low heat to simmer for a little bit to flavor the butter and then brush it all over a loaf of French bread sliced in half to make some garlic bread. Really good with mozzarella cheese all over it as well. Y’all did good growing the garlic for the first time. Maybe next time do hard neck for some bigger cloves. I’ve never seen anyone hang them upset down. I’ve just seen them tie a few together with some string and then just hang them outside somewhere that they’re not going to get wet.
Whole bulb roasted garlic, spread on fresh warm bread, garlic in pickles, garlic and onions with anything. I would go through that garlic in a week. GARLIC GOOD!!!! YUMMMMMMMM :)
It is the time of year to make fermented garlic in local raw honey!! It is an amazing tool for winter sickness. Start now so it's ready in November. I make mine in pint jars.
Garlic looks great! I tied mine up and let it hang in our shed to dry out for a couple weeks. Then cut the dry stalks and trim the roots. Store in a mesh bag or container out of direct sunlight. I’m in MA.
Garlic looked better than store bought. Great job jury rigging the repair of the “window” on the truck shell. Enjoyed the vids of the animals. Beautiful Michigan.
Cut a bit off the top of the bud, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil and throw them on the bbq. Spread on a toasted baguette or better still top off your steak!😍🇨🇦
Jay love your videos and enjoy watching them. May the lord bless and protect you and Jen and working on the homestead and building and working on the truck topper
Congratulations Jen on your garlic harvest. Thanks for the beautiful scenery shots. They made the video very enjoyable. Jay Sometimes functional is enough. Don't always need the beauty 😊 I thought your jerry rigging looked great.😊
We're about ready to harvest our garlic. We also collect the "scapes" and chop and freeze them. Milder taste but adds a nice flavor to lots of dishes. Also was wondering if you had animal issues in your garden like deer or rabbits. Been fighting rabbits this year and finally had to put up a fence.
that's a really nice healthy looking garlic haul. you can tell by the reach those roots have. I remember when you built that raised bed, so from a viewer perspective that a pretty fun video to watch
I grow a lot of garlic and a great way to preserve it is to put cleaned heads in a mason jar and fill it with white vinegar. If kept in the refrigerator it will last over a year.
Garlic looks great!!! Can you peel some cloves and put them in one of your canning jars and cover it with olive oil. The you have fresh garlic when you need it and garlic infused olive oil
Amazing drone footage guys, Jen great garlic harvest you can make your own garlic butter, and Jay you have fantastic Magiver skills too, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Hey Jen! Great looking garlic. I moved to Missouri last August and couldn't get much of a garden going then, but my first garlic will go in this fall. We'll see how mine comes out! Great repairs on the truck using what you have! Texas Deb ❤
Oh nice haul on the garlic, Nice warm garlic bread smothered in butter yum ! what about garlic spread ?. Thanks for mentioning what your going to use on the blueberries i did not know that . Loved the intro of this video your sweet dogs , your smiles and the view . Take care peeps .
You can peel the garlic and fill a quart jar with water and about 10 tablespoons spoons of salt good salt I do it and it last me until the next garlic harvest
I am so sick of people putting down Ryobi tools. I have watched all the stuff you have done with yours for years. I just happened to go to DeWalt when I started using cordless tools so stuck with them. Your Ryobi’s have served you well.
The only thing I do to acidify my blueberries and always get a great harvest is to save leftover coffee, water it down by 50% and water them a few times during the winter. But, I live in SEVA and we dont get as cold as you donthere, being a native Michigander, I know! Dont listen to those who say use coffee grounds. The acid washes out of the grounds when brewed which is why we use the coffee, not the grounds.
Just let that garlic air dry. The dirt should fall off. Then trim the stalks off. I have a Terra cotta jar has cork lid. You can chop and put in olive oil.
Check the soil pH of your blueberries. It should be acidic Gilroy's in Gaylord has what you need to amend the soil. If you call them they will order it if out of stock.
Hey Dale....unfortunately the land we look at includes a few different larger parcels of privately owned land.....so all I can do it hope it stays undeveloped.....but this area is all zoned for residential.....so it should stay as is
Congratulations on the garlic! What a sense of accomplishment, growing your own from seeds! Great job! If the wire ties fail, try pop rivets.
Great garlic harvest. Ive saw people braid garlic for storage, we use to roast garlic or grill them and make garlic butter. ❤

If they do they should urine outside there fenced area that will keep rodents and other animals away for sure on that 🙌🙌
No major issues yet. I feel the chipmunks and rabbits might be causing me some headaches though once the fruit it ripened

You are living my dream 😊. Live it to the fullest. God bless 💞
You Guys are Beautiful ❤️ Makes my Heart warm....:)
Fixing the topper was Hillybilly, but it works. 😂😂. Yes a topper is great only if you have a back truck.
Blueberries like alot of moisture we had a marsh couple acres on our 160 acres. Was almost swampy.
Nice. Homemade cough syrup. Peel cloves, pack in a mason jar, cover with raw honey. After a few months, it tastes great & is an awesome cold fighter.
Great jerry -rig on the truck window!! The property looks beautiful.

You did a great job on your window in your truck.
😊 thanks
I put a leaf rake up on a shelf in my garage and hung my garlic on it to dry and it worked great
Nice.....that sounds like my style
😅😂Jay, now I will be looking for your truck every time that I am at the "Green Store." 😂😂
There is a good chance you will find me, lol
Amazing drone footage guys, Jen great garlic harvest you can make your own garlic butter, and Jay you have fantastic Magiver skills too, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧

Good luck Deb with the new garden
Visegrips work well. No need to change. I think you would tear up the new fix if you replaced the struts

There is a type of garlic that is much larger. Called "elephant garlic".
❤😊
Fixed alot of those topper back windows worked at a glass shop 37 years. hated them.
Seems to be a weak point of the truck cap world for sure, lol
Garlic olive oil
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
you should build a small church next door
Hell yah, zip ties and duct tape works great!
Blueberries are an acid-loving plant, so they need some kind of acidic fertilizer.
Check the soil pH of your blueberries. It should be acidic Gilroy's in Gaylord has what you need to amend the soil. If you call them they will order it if out of stock.
Maybe Get some JB weld to put on metal crack...
14:00 THAT'LL WORK JUS FINE... NEXT!
Yup.....just friendly hangout session all around. Best wishes
LOVED THE INTRO BTW, GREAT JOB
Beans add back nitrogen to soil.
Love the views and content…Curious about the wilderness lands beyond your view area…Is that protected BLM Lands??? IAG, eh!!! 🇨🇦
Hey Dale....unfortunately the land we look at includes a few different larger parcels of privately owned land.....so all I can do it hope it stays undeveloped.....but this area is all zoned for residential.....so it should stay as is
rivets
Oh man....great idea. I have a rivet gun downstate.....I might have to switch them.
Manure not a good deal for blueberries....they need acidic soil....manure promotes less acidic soil.
@richardgreen5602 ya I was just giving them some food close to the plant.....everything else is so sandy I maybe made a mistake
