Truly a great film! Ridley Scott able to draw a very strong portrait of Marcus Aurelius with minimal dialog and relatively short scenes… he’s a genius! Well done whittyguy, another banger!
Commodus is one villain that makes you think. He was neglected but also did evil it makes you think how much of a person can change if they were ever embraced or if that’s wishful thinking.

The best thing about Gladiator is that it is absolutely not historically accurate, but it *feels* like it is.
