    Wow, I've never seen an M15 (or any Telefunken) with a meter bridge, this video makes me want one :D (however I'd prefer the German version, where tape is wound oxide out, since then only the heads and the capstan would touch the tape on the oxide side)

    My Sony SLV-679HF can probably record just as good, for 8 hours on a T-160 tape, and you can use the video portion to display song titles and album covers. Yes, that old VHS HiFi VCR you probably already own is probably the best sounding AUDIO recorder you have in your house, that is, until you buy a good analog to digital converter and CD burner. Of course, a studio reel to reel like this machine in the video is where you probably got the original sound that you cribbed into the VHS machine...
