It took years to let her go. Going back and forth, reuniting, breaking up. More then 10 years of misery and pain. We both had our own darker sides, but it was me who didn't let her to move on for so long. I hope... In time, she will recover and be happy. While i need to continue working on myself, to never hurt anyone again like i hurt her.

@@Psych2go in many ways. Therapy through colour, if you've heard of such a thing. Visiting my therapist, going to the gym(it helps with improving self-esteem). I also started finally realising the existence of people in my life, friends and family, who always were there. I am not alone and it certainly helps. Trying to not appear in her life, social, personal. Part of me still clings to hope, that maybe one day we can meet and put aside our past. Whatever the future holds, i wish her only the best going forward.
This video really helped me. To be honest, it's been a year in my relationship and I didn't stop thinking I was the problem because of my unhealed trauma. But I don't seem to do any of this so maybe it's just my shitty reaction to some triggers that makes me feel like the problem. However, I won't stop trying to change for the better. ❤

@@Psych2go well, my anger mostly. Sometimes my anger makes me say or do things I wouldn't do under normal circumstances. Sometimes it's not bad but sometimes it is. I used to end up shouting at my partner when he was not even at fault and then I broke down because of what I did. Now I am better and he helps me grow and change into better. But I still have work to do.

I know it's not easy but, to avoid this try to take deep breaths and don't let emotion take over your logic. Think to yourself, "if I make this decision, what will the outcome be? Will my future self be proud of this? Is this going to impact the other person negatively or positively?" This may help you make better decisions. I always asked myself if I was the problem, after someone of my group of friends spread a roumor about me, we had an argoument and I exploded with rage, since then my (ex)friend every now and then stopped talking to me and convinced most of the other friend to exclude me, whenever I confronted her she either said ''no! we aren't excluding you (and proceded with an excuse) " or "yes and it's because you have this habit( and continued saying things that she didn't like about me)" at first,, my snse of guilt told me that it was my fault they did it and so I had to change, so I told her that I would try to change and so I did but we went over and over again like this. I recognised my flaws and actually tried to be better but nothing was good enough for her. and when I became friends again with the group they told me that she was just using me, that they had millions of groups without me.... I simply blocked her. this video and another one you made helped me reason without the sense of guilt that I had.
Thanks for this Psych2Go! I just got out of an abusive relationship last summer, and I feel so much better getting out of it. I felt like my partner was using me more as a mental punching bag than a person, even though they may not have meant it. The relationship i was in showed almost all of these, and even though most everyone who knows the context believes I'm the one in the right, but i wasn't completely innocent. I messed up REAL bad, haha. I showed several of these signs without realizing it, and my partner did as well. It overall was just a very unhealthy, uncomfortable relationship, and I'm honestly kind of glad they cheated on me, because that got it to end.

I would generally spend ALL my time talking to my partner back when I was in that relationship, so I've started to work on some of my hobbies instead, which is going great! I've gained so much more confidence since then, and it shows, since I've started doing private performances of my music to family and friends as well, which has been so much fun! I'm just really proud of the person I've become since I've gotten out of that tight spot, and I know my close friends and relatives are too! :)
