I loved this final confrontation. After all the BS in the previous fights it ends in the best way possible imo. They went HARD on the emotional impact of the third semester, twisting the knife again and again, and it all culminating in the MGS4-esque way that it did was beautiful.
@@emmajohnson7364 dunno about that. Been grinding party members to lvl 99 in monad before the final boss. I also gave everyone their ultimate weapons and armor and covered weaknesses. Ended up cheesing all the arcanas with just meele/rush/auto/whatever it was. As for the final arcana... i just used Armageddon. 7.8/10 would fight again.
yeah he lost his persona abilities due to the metaverse crumbling from existence so arsene and the pther personas joker could use to his command no longer existed. they had to make it as real as it comes... ❤

Hearing this the first time in the story when you officially name your group I had to just leave it playing for a while, loved the fuck out of it. Goes for almost all the tracks on this game...
For real. This game can seem to make a bad song, the whole soundtrack is one beauty after another. Gentle Madman can play on repeat for a whole week and I wouldn’t get tired of it.
There are very few games that can be considered "rational or reasonable" to do 5 playthroughs of it, especially with a game that's so damn long. Persona 5 is one of them (Or the persona series as a whole)
They really nailed the themes in this game on every aspect. So that's what the same sounding parts in tracks are called, wouldn't have guessed there was a word for it.

*SPOILERS/VENTING for the Royal Version* ..... Something that really hit me about when this song played in the final fistfight between Joker and Maruki is that, for the most part, we've associated this with the evolution of our confidants' Personas. This is the track that ties in each of our teammates' growth as people, which subsequently leads to their strengthened Personas. Yet in that final fistfight, it's somewhat opposite. Maruki's Palace is done for, the Metaverse is collapsing, and on that path of light, Joker and Maruki have lost their Personas. But in that moment, they have each reached the peak of their growth not just as Persona users, but as people. Maruki, through his pent-up frustrations, his punches and screams, comes to accept that his desired reality really is a distortion that can't be accepted, and that there isn't a way to truly escape the pain and suffering of life. And Joker, in choosing to stay with Maruki and letting him kill his regrets, shows the peak of his conviction and rebellious spirit: to be able to understand a distorted individual, yet still be able to stand by his own beliefs and strength to pursue a true reality and future till the end. Man, that entire fight from the beginning made me want to cry because I never really wanted to fight Maruki, but this moment definitely broke me to tears seeing how far both these characters have had to go to reach an understanding.

After completion of it I was depressed (cause I logged in 200 hours and loved everything about it) and definitely wanted more lol. It's too bad that we're gonna probably have to wait a long time for P6, I don't really care for the Persona dance games so they don't count for me.
Same. Goro Akechi is one of my favorite characters in all of fiction. All he ever wanted was to be loved and treated like he mattered. This intense, all-consuming desire drove him to become the person he is during the story of P5. Cool, collected, and eloquent on the outside, yet underneath his outward facade, hides an emotionally broken, psychopathic, ruthless, and mentally unhinged person. My favorite scene involving him is the moment after Joker's fight with him. Akechi slumps to the ground in defeat, and questions Joker about why he's so special, and why he's so much better than himself. Akechi breaks in this moment, spilling out his heart with a torrent of emotions that we'd never seen from the character. Letting slip all of his suppressed emotions, and showing that he's truly just a kid who was never given the love and care that a child needs, and became a monster because of it. The voice acting during this moment in particular was absolutely outstanding, and was throughout the whole story, but it's quality was really accentuated during and after the fight in Shido's palace. It's always stuck with me.

The most impact I had with this song is when I decided to romance Makoto, this song just made the relationship plus her second awakening even more special. I'm sure anyone who romanced any of their female teammate might have felt the same.
Well the cheeky grin on Prometheus does reflect Futaba's personality, especially when she gives you buffs during the battle, but aesthetically I prefer Necronomicon as well.
Yeah, I get It's symbolic, but the face just makes me laugh when I look at it. I also prefer Necro as a ufo appearing above you when you get ambushed and switching your positions is just perfect!

This was the OST that solidified everything for me and made me realize that this is going to be one hell of a journey. I'll never forget the moment Joker, Ryuji, Morgana, and Ann decided to keep helping others and change the world; thus forming the Phantom Thieves. It was indeed a long journey and it was absolutely incredible!
Lmao I spent my second play through trying to get all my confidents however by the end I realized I made the mistake of prioritizing my team members instead of the others. So I never did sun arcana and it took me to November to learn about the "get smoked" Kid ha. Now I gotta play again
THAT moment in Royal honestly made me tear up a little bit. The emotion and voice acting was so well done, and having this song in the background was the cherry on top.

This song will always make me feel so much emotions, for many reasons. One is that Makoto is my favorite character in the game, and she was the very first confidant I maxed out on my first playthrough, so it reminds me of her. Second, it reminds me of all of the incredible characters in this game, and how Atlus managed to make each and every one have a compelling backstory that made me feel lucky to befriend them. And finally, Alpharad’s videos, which have gotten me through so many rough patches in my life. In fact, he was the one who inspired me to pick up this game and make me view the world in a whole different way.
Whenever I re/play a persona game, I always wish my life was as beautiful and as fun as theirs. Makes me so jealous. I guess that’s why I love these games, they make me feel emotions. The time I spend with the characters, how I laugh,cry, smile, how I got jealous when Akechi spoke to Makoto(haha yes I know), even just the music that comes out of these masterpieces of a game is enough to bring me to absolute tears. Enough to make me bawl, enough for me. Fills me with courage, hope and happiness. Makes me wish I could feel that way about my own life. Makes me wish I was strong enough to do what I want to do. Makes me wish I’m more than I am. Makes me wish I could just be more than a side character, more than a NPC. Makes me motivated. Helps make me get ready in the morning. Helps pump me up, and when I start feeling down, I listen to a Persona song and either cry it all out or get transported to another world again. I wish there was more beauty for me to see, I wish there was more places to escape. To just, see a wonderful world, full of possibilities, is impossible for me until I put on my headphones.
Out of any game I've played there are only a few scenes I will never watch on RUclips, just to preserve the feeling and emotion the moment conveys when I replay it. This is one of those moments. God when the meter was filling up, when I saw my confidents cheering me on, the symbolism and everything about this part was amazing.

It's also painful that the thing you wanted in life could never be real, but that's why we have to build our own way of life in the reality we live. And that life we build in reality is our own way of happiness.
I absolutely love when I max out a party member and this plays during their second awakening. it makes the scene way more emotional and exiting at the same time.
It works so well! But for multiple reasons. The Shadows represent what you repress or wish to deny about yourself. Hence, Yosuke's is about his small-town boredom, Yukiko's is her dissatisfaction with how her fate has been decided for her... But Futaba's is based on her self-worth which she's denying because of PTSD over her mother's death. It shows that Shadows aren't inherently good nor bad.
Her awakening is a Persona 4 awakening. Futaba needed to face a truth she hide in her inerself. The truth that she isn't the reason why her mom died. She accepted that truth, she accepted her own Shadow and awake her Persona.
[P5R SPOILERS] Probably the most emotional moment of the whole game was when Maruki says:"The disappearance of my Palace--of the entire Metaverse--is drawing near. Seems like neither of use can summon our Personas anymore". Then the camera switches to Joker and his mask disappears and this song kicks in just the right moment, it made cry so much because It's a call out to the player basically saying "Your journey is over, finish the fight and be ready to say goodbye to this world."
Now that I've long since beaten this game, I can be thoroughly sure when I say that Futaba is the exact reason I love this track. For me, Futaba is best girl, and not just because appearance. I emotionally related to her and the issues she had around people since her change of heart. I emotionally related to her because her anxiety out in the open resonated with me so much. In a way... I saw myself in her, and I guess that's why I held on to her as my favorite character. *NOW IF ONLY SOJIRO WOULD STOP WITH HIS EVIL GLARES ON VALENTINE'S DAY FOR BRINGING FUTABA OVER*
If I die my final request I would like this song to be played at my funeral not as a joke but really just have it play out. Though I doubt I’ll be gone too soon just when the day comes.

Peeps cheering on the thieves was cool and all but the 3rd semester gets a far better scene. Spoilers ahead At first Maruki looks like any other opponent we faced so far, ready to atone... And then he glares at Joker, a look which shows that for the first time in his life, he feels pure anger towards the guy and starts punching his friend in frustration. Not one shadow, hell not even Akechi or Shadow Shido opposed us THIS much, keep in mind that while other bosses might have took 2 or in Yaldabaoth's cases, 3 rounds, Maruki took four rounds to finally accept defeat.
Thank you Shoji Meguro, I couldn't think of a more fitting song to show appreciation for this man's work on this series and attempting to fulfil his new dream as an independent developer.

PERSONA 5 ROYAL MAJOR SPOILERS!! I got so excited when Adam came on to the battle and started doing full force over and over again. It really displayed the power Maruki had in his persona. But most importantly, this fist fight that happened was so cool and felt personal, you gave this man hope that he could achieve his dream, he did all of this because of you. You were his guiding light. You gave Maruki everything he could wish for, only to have it torn apart by the same person who enabled him. It made you feel so bad, Maruki’s cry’s and screams felt real. Maruki was not right, but he was not wrong to want to give everyone their wish. The Phantom Theives are the same as Maruki, just different view points. It’s right to want to fight crime, but it’s wrong to force people to confess and mess with their mental state. This game was already amazing, Royal put a more sad, but real ending that we can relate to.
Man, I can not wait to dive back into P5 with Royal, I'm holding myself back from playing P5 again before then but it's damn tempting when I've got so much of the soundtrack in my normal listening habits lol
The fact that the part in 2:07 is the same little part in “ with the stars and us “ is just brilliant. I love when composers reuse rhythms in other songs, like how in “ the field of hopes and dreams” it has the same little part as in “ Don’t forget”. It adds so much more to music and I wish more people did it.

No matter what, this theme is my all time fave in P5. It conveys so much all at once, and it's intensity just makes it sounds more amazing. When I say intensity I don't mean huge or crazy but... the feeling it hits you with. The power of it all... I could never get sick of this song

And Joker, in choosing to stay with Maruki and letting him kill his regrets, shows the peak of his conviction and rebellious spirit: to be able to understand a distorted individual, yet still be able to stand by his own beliefs and strength to pursue a true reality and future till the end. Man, that entire fight from the beginning made me want to cry because I never really wanted to fight Maruki, but this moment definitely broke me to tears seeing how far both these characters have had to go to reach an understanding.
Still kinda mad that Raoul didn’t appear for the last gunshot of the game to signify that you’re fighting for yourself and what you really are.

Don’t know if I’m the only one but akechi’s character hit me hard
Same. Goro Akechi is one of my favorite characters in all of fiction. All he ever wanted was to be loved and treated like he mattered. This intense, all-consuming desire drove him to become the person he is during the story of P5. Cool, collected, and eloquent on the outside, yet underneath his outward facade, hides an emotionally broken, psychopathic, ruthless, and mentally unhinged person. My favorite scene involving him is the moment after Joker's fight with him. Akechi slumps to the ground in defeat, and questions Joker about why he's so special, and why he's so much better than himself. Akechi breaks in this moment, spilling out his heart with a torrent of emotions that we'd never seen from the character. Letting slip all of his suppressed emotions, and showing that he's truly just a kid who was never given the love and care that a child needs, and became a monster because of it. The voice acting during this moment in particular was absolutely outstanding, and was throughout the whole story, but it's quality was really accentuated during and after the fight in Shido's palace. It's always stuck with me.

The most impact I had with this song is when I decided to romance Makoto, this song just made the relationship plus her second awakening even more special. I'm sure anyone who romanced any of their female teammate might have felt the same.

I really love the character. He is one of my favorites, after all
This song will always make me feel so much emotions, for many reasons. One is that Makoto is my favorite character in the game, and she was the very first confidant I maxed out on my first playthrough, so it reminds me of her. Second, it reminds me of all of the incredible characters in this game, and how Atlus managed to make each and every one have a compelling backstory that made me feel lucky to befriend them. And finally, Alpharad’s videos, which have gotten me through so many rough patches in my life. In fact, he was the one who inspired me to pick up this game and make me view the world in a whole different way.

Whenever I re/play a persona game, I always wish my life was as beautiful and as fun as theirs. Makes me so jealous. I guess that’s why I love these games, they make me feel emotions. The time I spend with the characters, how I laugh,cry, smile, how I got jealous when Akechi spoke to Makoto(haha yes I know), even just the music that comes out of these masterpieces of a game is enough to bring me to absolute tears. Enough to make me bawl, enough for me.
Fills me with courage, hope and happiness.
Makes me wish I could feel that way about my own life.
Makes me wish I was strong enough to do what I want to do.
Makes me wish I’m more than I am.
Makes me wish I could just be more than a side character, more than a NPC.
Makes me motivated.
Helps make me get ready in the morning. Helps pump me up, and when I start feeling down, I listen to a Persona song and either cry it all out or get transported to another world again. I wish there was more beauty for me to see, I wish there was more places to escape.
To just, see a wonderful world, full of possibilities, is impossible for me until I put on my headphones.
Out of any game I've played there are only a few scenes I will never watch on RUclips, just to preserve the feeling and emotion the moment conveys when I replay it.
This is one of those moments. God when the meter was filling up, when I saw my confidents cheering me on, the symbolism and everything about this part was amazing.

It works so well! But for multiple reasons.
The Shadows represent what you repress or wish to deny about yourself. Hence, Yosuke's is about his small-town boredom, Yukiko's is her dissatisfaction with how her fate has been decided for her...
But Futaba's is based on her self-worth which she's denying because of PTSD over her mother's death. It shows that Shadows aren't inherently good nor bad.
Her awakening is a Persona 4 awakening. Futaba needed to face a truth she hide in her inerself. The truth that she isn't the reason why her mom died. She accepted that truth, she accepted her own Shadow and awake her Persona.
Plus the coma, that happened when people accepted their shadows in Persona 4.
This is one of those games where you just wish you could forget the story so you can play it again! 😢😭

Probably the most emotional moment of the whole game was when Maruki says:"The disappearance of my Palace--of the entire Metaverse--is drawing near.

Then the camera switches to Joker and his mask disappears and this song kicks in just the right moment, it made cry so much because It's a call out to the player basically saying "Your journey is over, finish the fight and be ready to say goodbye to this world."

200 hours of my life for this game was worth it.
Now that I've long since beaten this game, I can be thoroughly sure when I say that Futaba is the exact reason I love this track.
For me, Futaba is best girl, and not just because appearance. I emotionally related to her and the issues she had around people since her change of heart. I emotionally related to her because her anxiety out in the open resonated with me so much. In a way... I saw myself in her, and I guess that's why I held on to her as my favorite character.

At first Maruki looks like any other opponent we faced so far, ready to atone... And then he glares at Joker, a look which shows that for the first time in his life, he feels pure anger towards the guy and starts punching his friend in frustration. Not one shadow, hell not even Akechi or Shadow Shido opposed us THIS much, keep in mind that while other bosses might have took 2 or in Yaldabaoth's cases, 3 rounds, Maruki took four rounds to finally accept defeat.

Amazing how the same exact song played in two different big moments can change the tone of it so much.
The feels, the build up and the encore this is truly an epic masterpiece. Always manage to pull some strings in my heart.

Fuckin A man, morgona was my right hand man (cat) because I mained him with him being the team healer and all, and when he disappeared I reached up for morgona when he was disappearing, and when he returned I teared up because he had returned to us Phantom Theives Of Hearts.

PERSONA 5 ROYAL MAJOR SPOILERS!!
I got so excited when Adam came on to the battle and started doing full force over and over again. It really displayed the power Maruki had in his persona. But most importantly, this fist fight that happened was so cool and felt personal, you gave this man hope that he could achieve his dream, he did all of this because of you. You were his guiding light. You gave Maruki everything he could wish for, only to have it torn apart by the same person who enabled him. It made you feel so bad, Maruki’s cry’s and screams felt real. Maruki was not right, but he was not wrong to want to give everyone their wish. The Phantom Theives are the same as Maruki, just different view points. It’s right to want to fight crime, but it’s wrong to force people to confess and mess with their mental state. This game was already amazing, Royal put a more sad, but real ending that we can relate to.
If in Vanilla you fought for the world. Then in Royal you fought for yourself.
I would visit Thieves Den, gone to the movie section, visited the scenes that hit me the most, specifically Yaldaboath's and Maruki's arc

The fact that the part in 2:07 is the same little part in “ with the stars and us “ is just brilliant. I love when composers reuse rhythms in other songs, like how in “ the field of hopes and dreams” it has the same little part as in “ Don’t forget”. It adds so much more to music and I wish more people did it.
Such a good game and good sound track this will truly go down in history as one of the best sounds tracks for a game.

This song gave me strength to finally feel happiness. After dozens of days of despair and hopelessness. The song helped end the hardest time of my life and open a new chapter. It may a be a video game, but the emotions and wisdom it taught me have been a greater teacher than most people ive ever known. That's why i cry when i hear this beautiful song.

No matter what, this theme is my all time fave in P5. It conveys so much all at once, and it's intensity just makes it sounds more amazing. When I say intensity I don't mean huge or crazy but... the feeling it hits you with. The power of it all... I could never get sick of this song
