Review: Adonit Mark Stylus (with Mesh Tip)

  • Adonit Mark uses a mesh tip instead of the typical rubber tip. It has less friction and is smoother on glass. As a general purpose stylus, it's quite good.
    I bought this at USD $13 but it's now currently USD $10. Amazon affiliate link: amzn.to/2eyehPQ

    I used to use the adonit mark before I got my Apple Pencil. It lasted a very long time so if you are looking for a cheap but effective stylus adonit mark is the best

    I use this stylus with gimp and corel paint. I discovered that high res screens make all the difference. I use a remote desktop app called space desk. I can say wow what a great way to upgrade from a Wacom. Sure no pressure sensitivity but its accurate enough for my needs.

      This is alright but there is no pressure, no palm rejection and the tip is large, although not as large as a finger.

    I do caricature on my iPad Pro...I have the Apple Pencil and LOVE that stylus...BUT I hate having to connect it all the time to Bluetooth and want something I can just grab and go when the feeling hits me and be able to draw for awhile....I purchased the Targus (rubber tip) stylus at target awhile back and over all a decent stylus, but the rubber tip often grabs the screen and doesn't give me a smooth glide..I was looking to get the adonit dash 2 since no connection is needed, smaller hard tip, and simply click on and go...But I am hesitating due to the $50 price tag (I already have a $100 Apple Pencil) I just need a good stylus for caricatures, I do not need pressure sensitivity for that and I wear a glove so palm rejection is not a big deal either... I just need something that is ready to go and runs across the screen smoothly...how often have you used the adonit mark since this review and as an artist, your honest opinion on the Adonit Mark for caricature drawing on the iPad Pro...I mainly use Adobe Illustrator Draw and ArtStudio and at times AutoDesk Sketchbook pro... I got used to the tip size using the targus so I just need something that runs smooth on screen without catching...does Adonit Mark fit this and does it wear out quickly? Thanks for your time

      +Lorenzo G Thomas Adonit Mark is better than rubber tips as it glides more smoothly. Regarding Apple Pencil, if you don't ever turn off Bluetooth, the Apple Pencil will stay connected all the time.

    Great review! I have the first generation Bamboo you have on the video and I'd like to ask if you could try to compare the Adonit Mark and the Bamboo Solo 4th Generation. I'm in doubt between these two. The clip on the Bamboo is very helpful. However I hate changing nibs. So basically: can the Bamboo Solo 4th last really longer because of the carbon fiber nib? How is the usage and the feel compared to the Adonit Mark? If the Adonit Mark had a clip, I wouldn't even think and would have ordered it right away... PS: Adonit doesn't sell the Adonit Mark in Brazil. That's why your review is so helpful. Thank you!

      +JoaoGomesYYZ It's really difficult to say how long they will last or how durable it is. I haven't used them to the extend that I wear them out yet.

    Have you had time to do more general writing or note taking with it? I'm always trying to find a good stylus for note taking and sketching that feels more like pencil/pen on paper by offering some sort of "natural" feeling resistance.

      +AJ Walker It's difficult to find a rubber tip stylus that is going to feel like a pencil. I'm currently using the Adonit Dash 2 and Adonit Snap. I'll review them soon. They could be what you are looking for.

      If your iPad supports Apple Pencil, get Apple Pencil. If not I suggest you check out reviews for Adonit Pixel, Adonit Pixel Pro. Adonit Mark is no different from rubber tip stylus, which means they are good for tapping on screen.

    Between the Bamboo Solo, Bamboo Alpha, Adonit Mark and Adonit Jot Pro, which do you think it's the best? Speaking of durability, feel and quality for taking notes on a conversible notebook. I want to use one of them on my Lenovo Yoga 510 for taking notes at the university.

    Which has thicker/bigger triangular body, Adonit mark or a Bamboo solo (if you’re aware of it)? And is it really lasting? FYI, I used up two Bamboo solo carbon fiber-tipped gen 4 in two months! After every month almost I have to replace the tip with a new nib. It’s not encouraging at all.

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  6 лет назад +1

      The tip here looks similar to the Wacom Bamboo Solo, so I doubt it will last longer. Maybe you can check out the MEKO styluses. They use the same tip but may be cheaper.
