The seller got a very good deal. The expert is insane. ‘79 Star Trek even fully restored is maybe $2000-$3,000 tops. With that kind of playfield wear, even if it works mechanically as it should it is probably only worth about $1500
This is pawnstars do america which means they tour many states in the U.S.and also bringing most of their experts on tours..paid by the management, producers and history channel to give their expert opinion.

The seller got a good deal. These early SS pinball go for $1500 fully running. This one had some really bad wear. Under no condition is this worth 10k. I wouldn’t have paid more than $500 for this.
Rick doesnt have a clue about pinball machines. If he did he wouldnt need an expert. I love listening to Rick make a fool of himself 10000 for a fully restored star trek? Bahahahahah
You do the MATH ST donor machine = $1000 ( average is $2000 - $2500 ) New Playfield = $1000 New Electronics and displays = $1000 New parts, hardware, paint, stencils = $1000 100+ hours of labor @ $60 per hour = $6000 FINAL RESTORE = $10,000 or more I just sold a fully restored Tales of the Arabian Nights to a collector for $22,000 Pinball is a RICH mans hobby these days!
@@xStaman but mine was a full-blown restoration. New cabinet, new decals, $1000 in custom powder coating, new ramps, gold chrome, color lcd dmd, flipper Fidelity speaker upgrade, mirror blades, etc. etc. etc. and 150 hours of work! This was a few years back when a donor machine Toten was $15,000.
@PinballPimp Do you want to see pictures of mine? Gold mirror blades, all brass powdercoated trim even the coin door is brass. CPR playfield and backgass. Modfather hand painted genie and lamp. Pinball decals scimitar and treasure chest. New ramps, plastics etc... The list goes on and on. I paid 18000 canadian. Nowhere near 22k USD

3:40 $800 that was the easy price for that Star Trek pinball machine
That playfield is pretty beat up but I'm sure this would be awesome for a star trek fan
Star Track - Rick
I'd love to know how they came up with those numbers.
ever heard of the market LOLi literally guess both prices before they said, that goes to show its exactly what it is worth
@@TRVPHAUS, interesting. I have a small collection of six machines and think I'd get double or triple market by selling to these guys.
What a nice looking young man.
Another scammed customer, Rick is happy, sweet)
Why would you pay 1500 when it's "as it sits value" is 1000?
Why do you watch these if he is scamming maybe move over to Alex Jones or Fox news maybe those scammers are right up your alley
