Great episode! I don't think Pot was the wrong choice. Pot of Greed is just one of those universally good cards. That run of Seereax hitting all his Pots was insane.

The rest of the stuff you mentioned is objectively worse than pot of greed. Jar of greed is a trap and therefore slow. It also only draws one card. Built in archetypal draw effects are less powerful because they aren't generic. There's a massive difference between swordsoul going "draw 1" mid combo and anyone slapping down a draw 2 card at any point in their turn. Pot of greed says any deck can get a free +1. No setup needed, no restrictions. That effect is so powerful we have multiple nerfed versions of it right now, one of which is limited in the tcg due to how insanely powerful it is. Pot of greed absolutely should be banned, there's no debate about it.
One of the broke things my household did is when we would run out of money we would scour every corner of the house, from between the couches to behind bookshelves to looking in old clothes pockets to see if there were any coins we could find that would help us get through the middle to end of the month. The problem with this is if you do it two times in a row, you will eventually filp the whole house upside down and still find nothing 😂. Good times!

About the Forbidden list, I have a couple of ideas: 1. You can't ban the same cards, 'else you'll just be banning the same card(s) in a back-and-forth exchange. At LEAST, not until you move to new decks. 2. Make a new option; ban 1 card, or _limit_ 2 cards; you can make any 2 cards of your opponent limited to 1 per deck each, so Deion could only have, say, 1 Mirror Force and 1 Pot of Greed. You're technically removing more cards this way (4 vs 3), but still letting them potentially draw/search them. idk how well these may work _in-practice,_ but at least it gives options.

Y'all should have a standard 15 card side deck in this series. I'm guessing there's already been a bunch of episodes filmed so maybe it's too late, but it seems like having the option to stash cards for later could be really impactful and fun.
Suggestion that could make things a bit more interesting. If one of you loses 3-0, you can ban 2 cards from your opponent, and if you lose 3-1, you can ban 1 and limit 1.That way if you're sweeping the floor with Deion, you could make a gamble and intentionally throw a game to save a card you know he's going to ban. But then again, he could come back and win the whole thing. Could be fun though!

A new rule I think might help in the long run for this series: "If at anytime one of you lose 3 in a row, you are able to add back 1 of your own banned cards at a max of 1 copy to your deck"
