Weird. This was my band, and I remember this night clearly. It was recorded at our regular Friday & Saturday gig at the time at the Starboard Attitude on the Redondo Beach Pier in CA, about 1981 or 82. George was sitting in for a few numbers and sprang this on us without warning, so we were trying to figure out what he was doing. George told me later that this number was a tribute to the NASA Space Shuttle, which he said he heard was so advanced, it could fly around the sun if it had better engines, thus the title "Sun Bird." Had no idea anyone was recording anything that night. Thanks for sharing this.
