I put this on my tailgate, plus I installed the “gatekeeper” which installs at the right side hinge to prevent removal.
Great idea!
Just giving you a heads up those locks are not very good and if you Play with the tailgate you can unlock it no tools needed it. I wish someone would make a better lock for the gm trucks for 99-2006.
I showed 2 different versions in this video. I think those are the best for these trucks.
I mean the cover is real easy to get through not to mention a stout flathead and a 4 pound sledge hammer will take care of the lock no problem .....
How do you get to the fastener if there's a hard tonneau cover installed?
How do you lock your tailgate?
@@AnthonyJ350 on my last pick up I had the tool box welded in place.. as for keeping anything expensive in the bed ... I'm in Buffalo New York crime central.. don't leave anything in your vehicle you don't want to replace around here. Before I got the tool box welded welded in I had a bed cover they cut right through it in broad day light
@@edpenkalski8937 Okkkkkkk, so the rest of North America we should not install locks on our tailgates?
@@edpenkalski8937 Ya New York is definitely something special right now. Even the amount of ballistics Police cars use there is significantly higher than anything in Canada.
You should message Pop & Lock and just tell them to stop making this product.
As always a very informative video, although not for the Z we thank you
Lol, well thank you for continuing to watch non-Z related content! I have some small add ons for the Z coming up soon.
@@AnthonyJ350 I enjoy your videos to the point of watching stuff unrelated to my car because I always learn something and if not (like this video for example) its nice to hear that you are ok
un saludo amigo
